I did the same thing to my laser strike. It’s a fairly easy modification and makes it way more efficient. Great video.

Great video. I've had Eafengrow knives for years and every now and then, they still get my attention. They're not just good knives for the money, they're just good knives!

It’s time to give up that baton knife ( too thin flat grind) and get that nice shiny Eafengrow out to the shed. Oh yeahhhhhhhhh. I have pine that has melted in the 44 c degree heat.

I wish I could love Eafengrow but I just can't love them no more and it makes me sad. 😢

A liitle history....the essee Jungulas was designed after the Ontario knife works RTAKII. Ontario resently closed their doors after the covid thing. blade material is 5160 spring steel...I have one and it is fantastic.

Legions tacticool has been doing a bunch of them and they look alright so it will be interesting to get your view as well.

Judging that the Heat Treat is correct... I feel like part of the problem with the Hare is that it's a High Flat Grind... that Scout Feather is more Saber (Or maybe Scandi, I can't tell from the video) which is going to be a stronger grind for things like batoning. The thickness behind the edge is pretty darn thin and would be extremely important for that task. I just don't think it is built for that... period. Carving tasks might still be good enough, but imo a High Flat Grind that is that thin behind the edge is just an EDC grind... period. I believe it should not be labeled as a Bushcraft knife with that grind.

It's all the jackasses that are buying them to flip them to people that are foolish enough to pay 3-4x what they are worth because the you tubers have blew them up and have enough of a hold on people to make them think they are are actually worth that kinda money. It's 5 and 10 dollar knives that are great values at that price but not worth more than that. It's a great 10 dollar knife but it's a 10 dollar knife no matter how it's looked at. Listening to that tictok knife guy that says "I've given away over 500 of them" given away??? No lol he's going on whatnot and doing auctions for them starting them out at 25 dollars plus, shipping.... It's lame and he should be ran out of the knife Community buying out the entire stock online as soon as they come in so he can block the online purchases and drive those whatnot sells.... The bad part about it it's not the scalpers faults we know, how, they work and, they only do it because of the fools willing to support them, it's the dummys that will are willing or pay 30-50 bucks for a 10 dollar Walmart knife that are the problem.

Green beatle did a test of a bunch of budget knives including a Sitivien and some shrades. He confirmed my suspicions that Sitivien is performing about half of what it should be on edge retention. I have a ST300 that does the same thing. I always tell the guys I work with that if they actually use their stuff there’s no reason to buy a light duty multi tool just because it flips open.

You would be amazed how many knife companies are doing this now. Buy cheap, sell high. There are so many small mom and pop shops now, you do what you got to do. I'm as we speak. Bidding on a knife, made by a small shop. They were pricey then, and they are even more pricey now. Like triple the price. Are they worth it. Yes. But only to a serious outdoorsman or guide. Will I pay triple, we'll see. Peace.

I love pawn shops. I hit the jackpot last time I was in one a few weeks ago. A bunch of case knives new in boxes and gave 25 bucks each for them. I posted a video on them.

Im not a fan of leatherman. Ive had many but when they added the priority bits quality dropped. The bits are soft. I use a bibury 19-1 i like it better and its cheaper. I don't believe kizer is worth the money. They are known to have low Rockwell i just don't trust them. I don't really care for d2 in a fixed blade. But after watch another youtube guy cut nails im not sure what to think. I prefer toughness and like everyone believed larins tables on steel. I find the statistics don't necessarily match real world use. Just my thoughts not meant to offend or upset anyone just observations ive made.

I got the Kraftig a few months ago. They had a $4 off coupon on it. Nice box, which most of the knives I buy are still in their package. Looked good until I took it out of the box. It had a big scratch through the coating on one side. (sigh) I debated on whether to send it back. Decided not to mess with it. A week or two later they were "out of stock". They have them again last time I looked. Probably just keep it. Cool looking knife.

I got me one all i can say is its a workin mans knife i use it a lot on my job at home hell i wash it up and use it in the kitchen

I was at an estate sale a couple of years ago that had 200 knives in it. There were 4 of Ken’s knives in it about the size of those two. I thought I might buy one if they weren’t ridiculous. I have a Richardson frontier style Bowie and a matching filet knife. They finally came up for auction and the same guy bought all 4 of them for $400 each. At the time you could order one custom made for about $160.

Man, you're 100% right about having a gut hook. Makes life SO much easier! And I bought my Winchester knife from Wal-Mart too, TWENTY FIVE years ago and it's still in use! Best 15 bucks I ever spent!!! Great video Chandler!
