I see SO many people interested in preppin. Its recently become a term that everyone knows now. I think part of it is a reaction, a realization of just how mismanaged and off-course our leadership has become. Its fairly clear to most folks where their loyalties are. And its NOT with The People. They will not help us. ✌🏼

Well said, my brother. Prepping is always a good thing for any environment. Unfortunately, all the prepping in the world couldn't help the folks who lost their entire houses and so forth. But the people who were less affected among others are pulling together... if FEMA and the Government would just step aside until they are needed... 🤬

It's strange, not all of the EF 128's come with the pancake sheath. It seems most come with the taco sheath that has a thumb ramp and swivel clip for switching between upright and scout carry. I got the pancake version like you w/ the generic "tek-lok", and can confirm it's the knife is difficult to remove and re-insert. When I bought it off Amazon, it came with a 10% coupon. Makes me wonder if that's the reason I got the pancake version, or if it was just coincidental.

Iv had a fastback for 4 years and it’s the only knife I carry. You don’t realize how often you need a screwdriver or 1/4 drive when it’s on you all day everyday. It’s definitely got my out of some jams

IMO the named gerber clones are 8cr13/14mov (*Aus8=) and the non-named are 3cr. My strongclone came with great quality control. the nylon ends were all finished and sewn. And the blade holds up like a champ. I believe this is walmart doing this and will release an ozark campknife that is a strongarm copy...just like the d2 benchmade copy for 10$.

I read most of those temu blades are 5CR15MOV or 7CR17. D2 would be a HUGE improvement over those if it is, and seeing how it cut after your romex wire test its definitely not D2! Still not bad performance for the price in my opinion.

I have an old BK2, never used it much. Never cut all that great. That clone probably slices better bein thinner stock. I'm also pretty sure my becker won't spark a ferro rod either. Interesting! ✌🏼

@@ChandlersLegacyFarm to HONESTLY sum up the BK2: it's cool lookin, but it's probably Becker's least useful knife. I'd go with the BK62 or the nessmuk.
Most of the Strongarm's on amazon are counterfeit and easily break from what I've heard, I talked to Gerber about this and they said if its sold by anyone but gerber its counterfeit and Gerber is the ONLY authorized seller on amazon. That Temu "Strongarm" looks to have a hollow grind whereas the Gerber has a flat grind. Perhaps that's why they break easier?

Eafengrow knives are great very high quality knives that definitely competes with alot of American knives and DC53 steel is like a D2 steel on steroids,its stronger more rust resistant and holds an edge better than D2

I believe they are at worst 3cr but if marked "gerber" I think could even be 8cr (china aus8). I did a lot of homework. I thin walmart is gonna release an ozark "strongarm" campknife just like they did the d2 benchmade ozark.

It kind of reminds me of my Kabar Warthog, but with better ergos and a better sheath. I love good jimping, but not all jimping is good. Does this jimping serve its purpose, or is it more for looks?

I just purchased one along with an EOD multitool to throw in my glovebox or 2nd bugout bag... held up pretty well despite the guard failing... but she's full tang... and the rest of the knife held its own pretty well. Great video BTW my friend! 😎👍🇺🇲

The chinese are making quality knock-offs. Got myself a clone strongarm as well. My original Gerber prodigy is on holiday until the clone strongarm breaks.

You didn't break it, you made a modification. Actually what I'm going to do with one of my fakes. Cut/grind the top guard off and puts some gimping on it.

I did that to my clone too and its awesome.
I think these fakes are the best knife, ounce for ounce, dollar for dollar. I've been trying to get the camo one. I have one real Strongarm from Rural King, one fake black one from Amazon, and 2 green, 2 brown, 2 tan and a funky faded yellow one from temu, all copies. Plus 3 fake Gerber Prodigys.

The counterfeits are really good... Most are coming from TEMU blank with no logos... They are great for using and abusing when you want to keep your original for the serious jobs... like WW3 😉

I like the mora Knives. It´s just a reasonably good steel with a simple and comfortable handle. No fuzz, no fancy features noone uses and that makes them cheap. Another thing O like about the Mora knives is that they´re not made in China. Even the cheapest ones come from Sweden. I have multiple Moras in tool boxes, in the workshop, in the car and in the house. For batoning and other harder jibs I have the companion heavy duty. It´s 3mm thick, so it can take a beating.

I bought all 3 of these on Temu. They all had boxes with branding on them. They look nice however I wouldn't trust the steel. The BK-2 is thick like the original just slightly thinner. The grinds on BK-2 and Strongarm are hollow grind, not flat grind. I have an original BK-2. THE Temu one is pretty good imo just wouldn't trust the steel. Sharper spine than original. Advertised as 1095.

@@ChandlersLegacyFarm I'm pretty sure it's a legal issue even though China steals and clones US (capitalist countries) products. It's crazy because they even make the boxes look original. Probably the easiest part. The steel quality and the temper? Nope. I find it funny they sometimes say 1095 and stainless in the same sentence when describing the knife. 😆 It can't be both. They don't have a clue about knives.

@@ChandlersLegacyFarm I looked, and your first video is from eight months ago, and you have over a thousand follower. Those are pretty decent numbers. Your videos are good, too. Keep doing what you do. If things align, it'll happen like a snowball rolling down a hill. Small at first, but the farther it travels the bigger it becomes. Don't become discouraged if it doesn't happen when you think it should. For some channels it takes a few years, for some, it doesn't happen at all (I think because they give up too soon). I've seen channels go from a couple thousand, to a couple hundred thousand in four or five years, because they're consistent and keep going. Because it's what they're passionate about. If youtube is where you're focused, it'll work out. Be encouraged to continue your work!

I'm in the UK and can't find any good knives on Temu, just junky folders or kitchen knives made of pot metal. What do you search for to find these good ones?

@@ChandlersLegacyFarm Thanks for the tips. I just tried it, but no luck. I reckon Temu change the selection depending on the Country. The UK, being pathetic with its knife laws, is probably seen as too much trouble. Another reason to emigrate to the USA 😎
Bought 2 BK18 knives, one tan, one black off temu from the same seller $18.04 each. Picture showed markings. The tan one came in a yellow/brown box with no markings on knife, no print on box. The black one came in yellow/brown box with ka-bar print and markings on the knife and a nice printed pamphlet. Also bought 3 Buck knives all with markings and printed box. Never know what your going to get. Happy knife hunting.

I bought a bk16 clone from Aliexpress. At first I didn’t know it was a clone because it was in 14c28n and g10 scales. It feels really good but when I realised it had bk logos, I was annoyed because now I doubt the steel. It feels really good and if the steel is true, I’m on a winner. I tested it with some battoning and it held up, so it has some heat treatment. I also have a real Strongarm unused and a couple of fakes.
@michaelwaldeck7081 Nothing wrong with purchasing cheap knives and clones in my book because sometimes you Just do not want to spend that much money.So it is a good way of checking to see if you would want to spend that kind of money on that particular knife.
