I always thought that if you had the game pack you could use your own Pokemon team in the game? Am I wrong

Pokémon home keeps your Pokémon bank subscription active, this video is irrelevant. Everything is transferable to switch besides gen 1 and 2 cartridges, digital copies can poke transport

Currently, its August 1st 2024, and Bank is working. It did go offline for like a day but according to the timer; theres like 48 days. When you log in to Bank it tells you how many days are left on your pass. I felt that Shiny Banette comment; it used to mean something when your Pokémon said "Arrived from Kanto" but now with the move wipes it defeats the purpose. All tbose exclusive tutor and event moves get deleted the moment said Pokémon enters Paldea. In Galar, that does not happen so you can technically preserve those movesets there. I've been using these final moments Shiny hunting legends in ORAS as my final move. Also, get those Ribbons from the older generations too.

I could never do it consistently, even to this day, but I remember kids when I was young that were able to do it. One guy told me you have the move the stick in a smooth circle, but I still can do it.

Why they don't make a point to keep their old games relevant is ridiculous to me. Imagine if they announced that Home will retain connection to Bank indefinitely. So long as you have the games and required connections, you would not have to worry about the games losing relevance. Pokemon is an enormous franchise, so the fact that even they are not immune to being abandoned is disheartening.

I once managed to defeat Sagat easily by repeating the Shoryuken motion over and over regardless of where Sagat was on the screen or whether he was attacking. It’s difficult but it sometimes came out even if not every time. I was playing on Switch with a d-pad though and not an actual arcade stick.

Ughhh I feel the complete same! I’ve been so done with the Pokémon Company and this was the last push I needed to stop playing the newer games. I’m going back and (re)playing the older games and I’ve been having so much more fun with that than with the newer games (except Legends Arceus… even if it has still quite a number of things that could be a lot better oh my gosh I love that game and Legends Z-A will be the final chance I give the Gamefreak lol). I used to care a LOT about transferring my Pokémon up to newer games but there literally is no point to anymore because I’m just not having fun with the new games and because of that I just don’t play them. I still haven’t finished ScarVi because I literally cannot be bothered to deal with everything that game throws at me in terms of glitches and decisions that make the game borderline unplayable for me. Very sad because I LOVE Pokémon and I feel like it has so much potential… Pokémon can be so much better than this, but it’s not, and that’s a shame.

The 3DS shutdown on it's own already shows the death of the first 7 pokemon generations. 😔 And as bizarre as it sounds, I'm new to the franchise, and now I want a 3DS to play all the generations. But what's the point if you can't transfer everything you did on the 3DS to Switch? Oh well, I guess I'll have play the games to at least get some experience and pokemon knowledge since I'm a new wannabe fan. (I'm currently progressing through Red on an emulator) But I definitely want Nintendo to make a new handheld similar to the 3DS, and make all old pokemon games available to play and even able to transfer pokemon. Or at least make the Switch 2 have 2 screens or something, and make the DS and 3DS games compatible.

just search for the official nintendo post "Announcement of Discontinuation of Online Services for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U software" it says "It will still be possible to use online services for the following software but that may also end at some point in the future. Pokémon Bank Poké Transporter" I have just moved some mons from alpha sapphire to home fine.

The fact that the Pokemon transfer apps got to be exceptions to the Nintendo eShop shutdown makes me think The Pokemon Company is pretty pissed with Nintendo about it. TPC wants you to be able to transfer all your Pokemon from the old games. I don't think Bank is going down anytime soon because if it was, they'd have just let it shut down with everything else.

I completely understood everything you said and I can empathize, I’ve been playing pokemon since the beginning of gen 3 back in the early 2000s, and my love for pokemon is immeasurable to the point where I don’t see Pokémon’s as just pieces of data, they’re more than that they hold so much memories within them.. and my favorite aspect about pokemon has always been its interconnectivity between generations, and seeing bank is on the verge of shutting down really makes me feel empty when I think about it , as someone who’s dealing with a lot of things including depression and someone who likes to play older games like ruby sapphire and emerald as an escape cuz those older gen games gives me comfort idk how to explain this well tbh.. and I get attached to my team, and transfer them over later on.. I think you understand where I’m going with this .. I wish Satoru Iwata(god rest his soul) was still around im sure he’ll be against the idea of bank shutting down cuz he knows that what makes pokemon special and unique is the interconnectivity between games and no other games that exists does what pokemon has done, when you mentioned the 3ds era I immediately thought of Satoru Iwata when he was around everything was colorful and full of life , now everything feels so corporate, I hope i made sense with this .. i wish they’d reconsider or find another option to allow us to continue enjoying older pokemon games and have the option to transfer them across the generations, and i just wanna say that i loved your video, i was EV training in soul silver while listening to you talk, and i would love to hear you talk about this more, take care and i wish you the best .

3ds had omega ruby and alpha sapphire which are gen 3 remakes. 3ds literally the best console for Pokémon in general . No shiny locks too . A great library of Pokémon games
