Wow didn't remember watching this 6 years ago! and love it just as much. Before you unwind it you can give it another go by inserting a syringe into various places in the ball to randomly add a color, then wash again and then unwind. Will give a different dimension. It always turns out as it wants to for the most part, that is dye's gift of surprise! that I love.

This technique has been my favourite one too. So far I've always been using acid dyes which do not break as nice as your food colours, so straight away I ordered food colours to try it out. And by the way....the combination of colours you used is stunning and so beautiful. Thanks for sharing :))

Geez, you don't really dye your yarn without wearing rubber gloves, do you? Don't assume the dyes are not toxic.

Sad that it is very blurry but the video is very interesting and we got the knowledge you gave us... thank you for your time and work... I will try this technique as soon as I will have some yarn to dye <3

i think u need a better camera.. it's blurry and hurting my eyes that I can't see exactly what ur doing.. just fyi..

Can you dye the yarn up the yarn on a cone? My second ? is if you can use stripper on yarn?
