Nice job on the FFO! I had the goal of finishing 6 wips for Maynia, plus 2500 stitches on the Haed 2024 Sal, and 4 motifs on Spring Quaker. Very over ambitious but have met half of the goals. Take care

Maynia? None of my inspiration flosstubers did Maynia this year. I made my own rules, I stitched on a different WIP as many days as I stitched. And I loved that! And I discovered there are only 2 WIPs I am dnfing (from booktube=do not finish) I had 3 starts of patterns I had everything ready to stitch. I have also discovered how much $$ I spend on this delightful hobby.😱! I missing seeing your Maynia as you were the first person who did a Maynia parade. I still am so proud of you finishing Snoopy and your ABC before you had grand babies. I finished a wedding sampler I started for my youngest son’s wedding 25 years ago. ( so glad I never mentioned it to them 🤦🏻‍♀️) Made a lovely gift for them and probably more appreciated now then back all those years ago. They’ve truly had a happy marriage. Anyway, huge hugs always.

I need to be more neat with my stitching - I know the theory and think to myself every time I start a new project that I’m going to be really good and keep the back neat but within a few hundred stitches I inevitably get impatient and start carrying thread and doing stitches in the wrong sequence so I have diagonals at the back - what’s your secret - what rules do you follow? Libby

Happy Anniversary! We've been married a similar amount of time, we discuss what we plan to do in advance, sometimes we get each other presents, sometimes we don't. Sometimes we buy us something!

I really disliked Little Women. I am definitely a reader but Ugg, that was boring to me, even as a teen. I have a few pieces that are languishing in the bottom of my trunk of needlework. I don’t feel bad about it either. I think what really guilts me is how much thread I purchase and kit up but know I may never get to. My walls are full. So I am stitching anyway. I love stitching as much as reading. I am finally retired so I never feel bored. Loved hearing the kiddos in the background. Snoopy, have watched for a long time so was delighted when you finished that beast of a project. You should just box him up with all the stuff and send it to Kirsty to finish for you. Lol!

I've just discovered your channel, enjoyed your projects but also had fun listening to your stories. I really admire your Long Dog , beautiful! But I am also curious about something you said (if I understood it well) if you stitched during the school event, didn't any of the parents mind that you were not paying attention to the kids on the stage? Maybe I got this wrong, sorry, but I was curious. :)

Lovely to catch up with you - in two halves firstly on the bike at the gym this morning and just now after work with a cup of tea and some stitching! I'd really like to visit that shop with you and Ros next time you are up this way. So pleased you liked my idea with your Seasonal Streets - I think it will look great and you'll be so pleased when it's done! Happy stitching my lovely friend! xx

Just a tip for doing the sleeves on the Flax - when you put the stitches on the needle and start knitting - leave a longish yarn tail - then if you get any holes, which you can’t really help, as you darn your end in you should have enough tail left to gently pull the work together and darn over the holes 😉

And a change of plan happens to everyone of us! We downsized and I put most of my beautiful framed pieces away. Well, I thought they were safely put away, but I went to change out some work on my wall…discovered my husband took that container to charity shop🥴, I really hope someone bought those pieces and love them because they go back to the 1980’s when I began to stitch and embroider. Definitely finish out your house and enjoy seeing it each year! I always enjoy seeing you and have no posting expectations so just come on as you have the time😁

Me and my hubs don't do valentines day either, but I keep/buy the lovely charts and use them for our wedding anniversary instead. 😊
