Ben Walsh from Tigers Jaw interview
Mr. Cutler is such a hoot to listen to. there is no BS, but he is very generous in his recollections of other people. he is a legend just for the Europe 72 tour and that immortal album. also, Altamont was really not Sam's fault. It was the Dead's manager, rock scully who hatched the idea to hire the hell's angels. just saying, Sam seems to get blamed, but the idea was not his. Rip.
You're hardly a clone, Richie. You're contribution to the J.P. legacy is very noticeable .. and you're a far superior guitar player to K.K. Downing i.m.o. I can only imagine what you and Glen (in his prime) might have created together.
Richie and Simon McBride are like relay runners passing the torch on. Keep it up. 2:15
True legend and icon of America...Rest easy BEAR
❤ I love you ❤
Really sad that the songs from the scrolling album are no longer available to play/buy
Hii Jeremy & David 👩 from: Scranton, Pennsylvania
Thanks for being You Sa.! RIP
And a fine book it is, too!
Spell rightly
JP class of the industry! Love that guy.
Starfinder is our vet. He even makes housecalls.
Have any of the belt buckles your dad made?? Met him at a Sacramento Dead show, inside he had his cast bronze pieces for sale. Very nice. Good luck with your project. NFA
Wow. I love this interview. Thank you for doing this, man. I'm a huge Anthrax and Frank Bello fan. I love the questions you asked him. Well done!
Why did Bear move to Australia? California will sink into the Pacific next spring. A huge polar shift will cause the North American tectonic plate to buckle. Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles are all going to the bottom of the ocean in one day. It is foretold in Revelations and the prophecies of Edgar Caycee.
Zappa was like me. A Steve Howe fan.
🙌
Richie is such an inspiration, i wish he had a Netflix show, so intelligent, funny and full of METAAAAL!!
It’s march 12/23, I met bear at a restaurant in SF broadway joes it think it was. It was after a JGB show, bear sprung some belt buckles on me in a lovely case. I’m glad I bought one, I wear it daily to this day. I had 200 bucks to my name after the purchase and had to get back to NY to continue high school….on a side note, UA-cams algorithm sent me Bobby from the Ryman last night, I didn’t hear anything worth archiving. It was very sad. I don’t get it to be honest. Not trying to be mean here, expensive tickets, marginal quality music, it confusing. My dad gave me his McIntosh 125 / 225 when I was 12. Thanks for the video fellas.
So Bear recorded Tim Buckley(Jeff’s dad) thats wonderful. Curious if those recordings have been or are soon to be released? Thanks OSF Eugene, Oregon
Mike, everything you shared in this interview reinforced my love of Frank's music, my love of prog and how those genres coexisted, cross-pollinated and overlapped to the delight of an audience that appreciates the intentions, skills and dedication of serious musicians like you. (Why are my sentences so long?) Of course, all of us on the west coast who were saddened by the demise of the '88 band before we got to see you guys are now delighted to witness The Zappa Band in your current form. Keep up the good work and know that I'm tuned in, if not for a live show, I'll be watching from a wilderness location via Starlink from the middle of SOMEWHERE.
I'm gonna write in Polish. Otóż, Frank Zappa był i jest wielce mądrym człowiekiem, nadto znakomitym kompozytorem, instrumentalistą. Byłem jego fanem od najmłodszych lat i takim jestem po dzień dzisiejszy. Pozdrawiam z Warszawy, z Polski
Its absolutely crazyyyyy to me that a player as good as Richie was at the point where he was considering moving on from music to make a real living. How was this man flying under the radar well into his 30s? .... I heard him say he was considering quitting just before the call from Priest came. What an amazing guitar player and the perfect match for Priest! Love live the metal gods.
Recently checked out Judas Priest gear run down and found out about Richie. awesome player with awesome equipment with a great Signature guitar. Very humble in touch with fans etc a real jem. To me thats how it should be. Ive chatted with s few pro guys like him and when somone with that experience shares things with you for me thats what its all about. I'm a guy like Eddie that tore my stuff apart and worked on it myself since the 80s so gear and equipment always interest me too. I like Richies amp he's got that good high gain tone and like his setup seems very simple and strait forward. I am really impressed. He definitely knows his shit. He makes it look so easy too. I love Priest and Rob etc they rule rocken hard and their sound is so perfect consistent you would think they were all still young. I definitely want to make it to a show this year😊👍👍
Just can't express my impatience enough waiting for another Priest record with Richie jamming around
Ritchie is amazing
So glad to see you back, stay healthy Richie!
Metal = Priest🎼 🌐
Very Happy that your feeling better Richie.
I apreciate your job with J.P. of course, but specially I enjoy your playing your concepte of tone your videos...keep on Ritchie
Who?
would like to know which song throughout the catalog john feels is the most difficult to play, also which song he spent the most hours on trying to complete, would also like to know how many hours john would say he spent practicing alone in totality up to today..........
❤
As a 45 year Priest fan, Richie has been nothing but a blessing and a gentleman.
He is 43
Richie within rising lead-break is stellar". Very good timing/work.
We had the honor of sitting in back of Mike last night at the Baked Potato and whoa!!!.....he was fun and fantastic. Thank you Mike and the Zappa Band for an "over the top" performance!!!! (last show on Halloween night). I'll never for this this one for sure!!!
It's too bad he took the clot shot. His band is a bunch of sellouts who nearly got the guy killed
Aortic dissections are usually genetic or caused by high blood pressure, and have been around much much longer than the covid shot. What a stupid insensitive thing to say
@@janalong2702 get over it
Hateful
I met Richie twice. He is a great guy!
I'm very happy Richie is healthy and hope he remains so, he's a killer guitarist and a very cool guy!
Richie Faulkner is just simply one of the good ones. There's a ton of real shits in the music business, it's really great when somebody like Richie comes along. And to have his aorta rupture onstage in the middle of one of the most intense songs to perform??? And he FINISHES THE SONG before heading off to the ER for emergency surgery. Damn. Stellar player, stellar dude, that good fortune couldn't have gone to a nicer guy
What a lovely man😃
Richie really is one of the good guys, a true gentleman and decent fellow
One lucky dude! Welcome Richie to the chest scar brotherhood! You are alive and doing great! Rock on brother!
Wonder if her regrets getting the Jonestown Jab
Most likely
No proof of that at all
did richie get vaxxed?
Are those Ninja Turtle action figures on Richie's wall???
I saw Richie on his 1st tour w/Priest. He was killing it then and just kept growing.
Ritchie was fantastic playing with Tipton, would sure love to hear him with KK,another amazing guitar team no doubt.
Guitar Genius!!
Happy to see you back! you are an incredible 🎸 player!
