Although the landing was pretty fast in the last end, too much pitch, too high idle AND no full flaps. But this plane forgives nearly everything😊

Thank you :-) The answer is: no not exactly. There is a timing sequence programed and a delay of 10 sec between gear and doors / tail foreseen. The gear moves slower when it has to pass the heavy prop stream. To avoid a collision between gear and doors, some seconds are added for safety. When lowering the gear, you can see this timing distance is much closer, only one or two seconds are programmed, as there is no danger of collision. When we have collected some experience how long it really takes in flight to bring the wheels up ( under full throttle) the 10 secs can probably be reduced to 7 or 8. A bit of safety is a good idea here and doesnt do any harm

Thank you :-) After a visit to Duxfords F8F it was scaled down to fit the thinner 3W wing and then was fully scratch built, even the extra big pneumatic cylinders. Rims and brakes are printed

Hallo Dieter, springt eigentlich gut an, ich mach nur insbesondere vor einem Erstflug nicht lange rum bis die Hände zittern vom anwerfen. 180er betreibe ich auch, dto. meist von Hand, ab und zu passt mal was nicht ( meist Temperatur wenn weder kalt noch warm) dann hilft der Starter kurz aus. glaub ich nicht. Ist vorher Original von A. Dehn gewesen, er hat jemanden der die FW baut, ich kenne aber den Namen nicht. Ist auch nicht die Handschrift von Wabo, allerdings ist es aus Stahlrohr.

we will move our CG forward from 200 mm to 195. Looks a little bit too nervous, but you cannot say that safely after 1 flight ( too big elevator throw) and that wind

That's good to know. I am very curious exactly how much elevator travel you settle on. Those surfaces are HUGE. That engine of yours runs so nice. You can tell it's not stock.
