I'm with you on those bolts being so close to the exhaust pipes. I was thinking about getting these engine bars but now I may go with another brand. Thanks for the video it was really helpful. Maybe now I know why they don't let you download the installation instructions until you actually buy the bars.
Cheers pal, found that useful when doing mine. Merci beaucoup!
Do you really need both springs? The spring pin seems shallow to seat both spring hooks.
Installing the springs is not the easiest part of the job but I guess both springs are important. You want the stand not to be moving anywhere when you ride
Do you know if this bike can run on 20% ethanol blended petrol?
Nope - don’t know that one ;-)
I think I noticed it, but I would like to confirm that you can add the center stand without having to permanently remove the side stand?
Yeah - there is no need at all to remove the side stand. Would be very unpractical too ;-)
Looks good!
Thanks. You forgot the bumper so the stand doesn't rattle. On the left side. Very hard to get in the small hole.
Late question, when the bike is on the centre stand, is the rear wheel lifted from the ground for chain maintenance, etc?
Yes, that’s actually the main reason I installed the central stand
@@thelondonbiker brilliant, off I go to Lind Triumph to buy one ASAP. You're not doing the DGR this year by any chance?
I am actually doing the London DGR ride. Last year, I’ve done it on a Yamaha 125cc so upgrading this year with the T120 ;-)
@@AlexOnABoat If you haven't purchased one yet, I have a secondhand one I'm willing to sell (removed as if fitted sidecar)
Does this affect ground clearance?
No, makes no difference
Thank you very much for this video, it was much easier to follow you, than the written instructions! However, you made the installation of the springs look really easy. I think I pulled two or three muscles, have bloody knuckles on my right hand from the tool constantly slipping off, and then I also did what you did, I use the closed end of a wrench and realized that once it's on, I couldn't get the wrench off lol.
Is this rack available in stainless?
Yeah they do it in stainless - search Motone MCB023
@@Motorbike125london Thanks. One last question. I have motone pannier rails that attach to the top shock mount as well. I see this rack also attaches to the top shock mount. Does it fit if you have pannier rails there already? Sub'd and liked. Thanks for your videos.
hey, not sure about this zas I don’t use pannier rails on my bike. Bolt is quite long though…
How did you put it through on 0:45? I can’t figure, trying to install but get the same thing interfering
As you can see I did not have anything interfering here. What is on the way on your bike? Do you have another accessory on the way (bottom plate? Etc); can you see something obviously obstructing that stick to pass through?, Does it look different from what you see on my video?
@@thelondonbikerthe black mounting “stick” thing touches the muffler mount, I see it exactly in the video at about 0:45. For me its blocking completely 😑what am I missing 😅?
@@vdmrfdtv1267 assume you may have solved this already, but what I did, was loosen that bolt for the muffler bracket, it's still tight on there, so use the rubber mallet to just tap it back a little bit then I got that pin through the frame, tapped it back and tightened it again
Do you need to put the bike on a jack before unscrewing the shocks?
No - you can remove them with bike on side kick or central stand
@@thelondonbiker Thank you!
Is 20 Nm the correct torque to tighten the shocks?
Thanks for the video. What model year is your T100?
Hey - that’s a T120 2023 Black
2 front brake discs = t 120
So a centre stand is an optional extra? Just another example of triumph taking the piss out of its customers.
The T100 does not come with center stand. But, I understood that T120 does come with center stand. No?
@@robgeretyNope!
Did not come on my 2024 model higher end as well, I think to keep their msrp price down they have started taking things off in recent years like all vehicle manufacturers have@@robgerety
Hi did you have any gap when installing the stand between the sran and the brackets in the frame as i seem to have a gap of about 1cm if that majes sense. Thanks
…sorry for late reply. Don’t seem to have any significant gap. Did take a few pics today but cannot upload on my answer here 🤔
Hi there, I am seriously considering this bike, doing cbt in couple weeks I’m 6’3, is this bike comfortable on long journeys for yourself? I’m torn between mt125 and this one
Thé bike is comfy but I never had a really long ride in it. Max I have done was 1h30….I think you won’t have any issue. Now I got my full licence and a T120
Kick rod not available😢
India me kab lunch karega please batao❤❤
Hi! Thanks for the upload !❤ just installed my centerstand. But one question. On your video 54s seconds in . What kind of bolt did you use on that side of the bike . Salute 🫡
This was provided with the stand but according to instructions it is an M6 12mm
Is your bike the 2023 T120 Black? I thought the Motone racks didn't fit with the seat that came with the Black but it looks like you had no issues. Bike looks great
Yea that’s correct - a 2023 T120 Black. You have to squeeze the seat a bit on the rack to remove it but no real issue
Thanks for the reply, I have the same bike and wanted that rack for it. Glad to know it fits@@thelondonbiker
I have difficulty to do slalom with this bike because of the wide handle bars, can you try slalom?
…I found it quite agile but never really slalomed it. Have a new bike now so cannot test, riding a Triumph T120: ua-cam.com/video/mdit-_A_P9w/v-deo.htmlsi=Qce90hMfBlOuDm7p

India release release date
no offense bro. but u have to close the throttle while changing the gear
Yeah noted…I am learning and changing that
Wow, I love the quiz
nice video. Some shifting issues. how long have you owned this?
…just 3 weeks ;-)
learn to shift
You are kind of right…but wanted to showcase the engine sound here
@@thelondonbiker its ok, but if you dont use clutch and close throttle when shifting, that engine will sound not so nice anymore soon. You will wreck your clutch and gear changing mechanism this way. How ever beautiful little bike!
