Thank you for sharing! Obviously, you and I are in each other’s village from half a planet away. Nanci’s music has been sustaining for soul since 1990. I’ve had some dark times in the last few years. When that happens I search for Nanci on UA-cam. Her love for Ireland is precious and unparalleled, and vice versa 🙏❤️ I was fortunate enough to see her with The Chieftains in Cincinnati…. Pure magic.

They did some overdubbing .Add background voices and a banjo. The result is exciting.

One of my all time favorites. Lovely to see her so vibrant, young and genuinely enjoying herself in her beloved Ireland. Where she was a national favorite and number one on the charts with "From a distance". Also I notice that this is before she had her Taylor guitar that was especially designed and crafted for her. I heard Pete Kennedy talk about her guitar on his YT channel.

Thanks for posting this vid. I am going through some kind of a second grieving of her loss lately. Coincidently, there seems to be a lot of her vids I never saw before appearing on YT right now. Her legacy is her music and such a special presence when she performed. She was one of a kind, albeit underrated, super talent. Those of us who cherished her music as it played through the years of our lives, will love her forever.

She was already touring with Blue Moon Orchestra at this time, but I always found her more fun and interesting in other settings. I love the energy here and the barn is great. I met Bobbi Castle in Gloucester city center circa 2019 and visited the Cathedral and a lingerie shop (Loll). Really captivating girl and my pleasure to spend a few hours with her.

She was only 68 when she died. She had so much more to give us.

Remember when this programme aired in the uk on bbc. Featured some great music from some new artists. Would love to see the full programme
