Yz325 big bore 2 stroke idle and rev
Where is this ride? Sept 23 2024 I became the second owner of a 2023 GG EC300. LOVE this bike! Not as powerful or fast as my '01 CR500AF, but much more flickable.
@@rkbyrd4432 this ride was near Bozeman Montana. Yeah 500s are great for open stuff, but definitely not the best for the tighter trails.
Thats a great trail, id love to ride there.
Is it my bike or does all the ESR sound different than all regular 250 stick bored cylinders?
What's Year Plastics ?
Epic, brilliant video.
Do you have the off-road version or the dual sport? If you have the off road version did it come choked off to be 50 state legal?
It’s the enduro version, it’s not completely choked off. Most of the stuff they put on it to detune it can be easily taken off.
@@Secondhandstoke What mods did you make?
@@ericgray8396 there’s a reed valve in the airbox, I removed that. I got a more open air filter cage, and I did a full fmf exhaust system. Other than that it was stock.
@@Secondhandstoke Thanks!
Looks good mate ,just got the same bike had my first ride on the weekend. These bikes are awesome 👍
I used to have this same issue but you Gotta aim your camera up a little more my man! Pretty sick other than that
I absolutely love my fe350,so light and nimble for a 4 stroke. That trail looks like a blast
whats the v max?
Beautiful country, and nice riding!
I know it’s been a while since you posted this video but did you replace the FE with the Gasser? If you did what was the reason you changed? I have been on 2 strokes forever and found a FE 350, I am considering picking up and would like your feedback.
Yes I swapped from the husky to the gasgas. I'm just a 2 stroke guy, it's alot lighter and feels more powerful. The 350 is a good bike, but if I were to get another one I wouldn't go with the fe. I'd go for the fx, it's lighter and more powerful.
@@Secondhandstoke Thanks for that info, did you derestrict it and take off all the emissions stuff. Im considering buying a low hour 22 MY and toss a 366 or 380 big bore kit on it, some people say replacing with an aftermarket ECU helps things out also. I had an XCF lots a flame outs and low speed, couldn’t get that bike to work for me.
@coolbreeze7008 yeah I had mine unrestricted. I never had a problem with it flaming out, I was just hoping for more power. The fx and fc models have 10-13 more horse power than the fe model though.
Looks awesome
That area of riding looks Epic. Great video.
Any regrets not getting the 501?
Not really, I mostly got the bike for tighter trail riding/enduro type stuff. So if that's what your looking to do it's a great bike. She's got plenty of power, and a pretty high top speed, got it going about 80mph offroad and it still had more to go.
I just bought the same bike. Tell me when and if u your Maps 1 and 2 and if you keep traction control on or off and why? Brand new to this bike and not yet taken it out.
I always keep it in the faster map, and I never use traction control. I like to have full power and traction control really isn't necessary for me.
This looks like so much fun, I just got me a Husky FE 350 and I cant wait to take it out in the woods! Ride safe bro 👊
250 or 350 as a beginner ?
Personally I would go with the 350. I think it's always better to be able to grow into the bike, rather than getting a 250 and out growing the power.
@@Secondhandstoke yes, its the same With Motorcycles.. my first was 700cc and I only took few months until I get one 1000cc.
Awesome trails....nice video!
Wow I wish we had a nice smooth flowy trails like that in Connecticut they are just a constant rock garden beat the crap out of you. I just bought a 23 FE 350s I love it I'm an old fart and it's so light it's great
Yeah there's not many smooth flowy trails out here either. You have to really search for the smooth ones, or cut in your own. Pipestone is a really great place to ride though, about 70 miles of trail so there's plenty of fun to be had.
Great video, great bike, great place! Enjoy it
Love your courtesy. It goes along way to show respect to hikers.
I try to always move out of the way whenever possible.
Would you recommend this or the orange equivalent for a beginner? have some experience on quads :3
The husky actually has more linear power than the ktm. But honestly I'd recommend saving g money and getting the gasgas version.
@@Secondhandstoke cool but i mean like will the power overwhelm me? Or is it manageable for a beginner?
@@madtype5198 i think it would be pretty manageable for a beginner, definitely doesn't have 450 crazy torque.
🤤💚my want ☝️or✌️
Where are you riding state and location
This was shot at an ohv area in Montana called pipestone outside a small town called whitehall.
Great video, camera angle is great on this one. Picking up a 350 or 500 (still deciding on Orange or Blue but I don't want to deal with linkage) in the next couple weeks, glad to see climbs are a breeze for the 350 (was one of my pros for the 500). Did you drop you front to 13?
I'm still running stock gearing on the bike I believe it's 14 52
What area is this trail close to ? Never heard of cinnamon buck ?
It's in big sky mt, past porcupine creek trail if you live in bozeman the best thing to do would be to get a trail map of all the bozeman and big sky trails you can get them at the forest service center in bozeman.
Shit riding
Does this dirtbike have a key
No, you need the fe-s for that
Hey if you don’t mind me asking what fuel ratio are you running please mate
50:1
@@Secondhandstoke I’ve got the 04 mine has the Acena 300 kit on it Ia mate said run it at 25 to 1 I think that’s a bit too much oil now I run at 33 to 1
@@robertwaynereoo3636 yeah, 50:1 is what eddie sanders recommended for his kit.
@@SecondhandstokeI will definitely try that 50:1 ratio
hey, great bike! how often do you change the oil on this bike?
I change the oil/oil filter and clean the the oil screen after every 8-10 hours depending on how hard I was riding it.
That's one crisp sounding YZ👏👏👏
Maybe a nice bike, but it sounds like shit.
Yeah well not everyone like obnoxious backfiring four strokes. 👍
Is it true that huskies will vibrate the teeth out of ya
It has some vibration at idle which is to be expected. But once you start riding it they smooth out nicely. No complaints here👌
I’m getting into more slow technical stuff and am not sure weather to get the FE 350 or the TE 300. How does the 350 do in the bottom end? I do know the 300 love the bottom end.
It does great lugging around, but honestly if you plan on doing alot of super slow riding you might be better off with the 2 stroke. The 350 definitely feels a bit heavier than the 2 stroke, but I guess it just comes down to your personal preference.
What a beautiful trail. Nice riding, fun to watch 👍✌️
Awesome bike
Awesome bike.. I love the FE350
Awesome bike 😁👍
Eddie sanders?
Yes it's an eddie sanders kit
250😆🤦🏻
It's a yz250 with an eddie sanders racing 325cc big bore kit. If you knew anything about dirtbikes you'd be able to tell that from the cylinder and sound👍
Those trails look so whooped out. Where is the best MT single track?
Well that depends on your definition of best. If your looking for gnarly high mountain trails with nice views then the bridger mountain range near bozeman are some of the best. Corbly gultch, Truman, ross peak, are some of the nicer ones. I have videos on my channel of me doing those trails.
I went on the trail too
Overpriced sounds like my lawn mower
If you knew anything about motorcycles you'd know there not overpriced for what your getting. Maybe you should do some more research 👍
I own a 2 stroke husky and in real life on cross country enduros I personally think the 4 strokes sound gorgeous when on song.
Fresh u prefer the steel frame ?
Not really I mostly do enduro type riding so I prefer my yz250x. I actually sold that bike, Wasn't really planning on keeping it.
@@Secondhandstoke felt the same about a 17’ kx250f I had raced it a summer sold it bought a 13’ yz250 I just run stock bore weisco more then enough power for me I’m only like 165 soaking wet
@@dylanmonnelly9539 yeah I've got no complaints about the power on my 250x. I might end up upgrading it for a husky or gasgas 300 to match my 350. But that's a pipe dream right now.
Where is this place you are riding? Looks bad ass! Also did you do anything else to help it run better after adding the exhaust? Where did you notice the power gains mostly? I appreciate any info in advance🤙
I didn't make any other mods, also didn't notice much of a power difference. I honestly put the stock muff back on but I am running a megabomb header and that adds a little low down grunt.
Btw it's an ohv area in Montana called pipestone
Thanks for the info and reply! I will need to make that place in Montana a place to go check out one of these days! Keep up the great videos Anna stay safe!
Agree it’s about the best you can get. Your camera needs to be a little higher for the viewer
Yeah I know, I didn't realize till after the fact. I'm gonna try a chest mount
@@Secondhandstoke Having tried many different mounts I’ve settled on the chin mount of the helmet being the best! Gives the most realistic perspective from the riders view. You can still see the hands/handlebars and front fender but without it being pointed too far down. And you have the stability of it being on your head instead of body. If you check out most of my most recent dirtbike videos you’ll see what it looks like. Just picked up my 2022 FE350S and loving it so far! No videos yet.
@@aleccole7122 yeah I've been using a dango design chin mount but I think my helmet just naturally makes the mount point down
@@Secondhandstoke i use the dango also. The trick is to mount the camera upside down and then angle it upwards 👍🏼
@@aleccole7122 I'll have to keep that in mind, does the gopro automatically flip the footage?
I love the FE350, what a great bike. Got rid of all the emission, dialed in the suspension, good tires and the best mod of all - GET ECU with Taco Moto flash. The bike is a beast and will go through anything. Cool video, looks like a great place to ride. 👍✌
Thanks man I appreciate the feedback. I agree, it really is a great bike. 👍
Plastic oil pump gear
Yeah, they have been doing that for years with zero reported issues.
Sound very nice. What size jets are you running? Also what is the position of your clip on the needle? Thanks
She's running a smartcarb in this video, that's why it sounds so perfect.
How does it handle on the road?
From what I can tell it handles really good, but that also comes down to the tires you have on it. I don't really ride mine on the road too much though.
