I am so happy i decided to rewatch this anime. I tried watching this 2 years ago but it was too confusing to me. Lately i have done some serious self reflection and philosophy. The series resonated to me unlike the first time, i saw a bit of the parallels they wanted to tell. The ending was such a breath of fresh air. It caught me off guard that Nagara just simply had a smile for once in his face and not do the thing they promised. That progress suits him.

one of my friends, who was also a classmate, passed away this year unaliving himself. it was a very sudden death, we learned about it in class while preparing for masters degree entry exams. when i watched this episode, the whole anime started resonating with what we were living. the feeling of being suddenly out of the world, on a different timeline, knowing the life is still going on outside but being stuck together in that nonsense. everyone coping in a different manner, immersing themselves into work, isolating, being incapable of staying alone, lashing out on others, wanting to control everyting searching, trying to understand, sadness, anger, frustration. and finally gathering his and our memories, organizing the funeral and more or less letting go to return back to our timeline. sorry that was a lot haha, but it suddenly made sense to me

Sonny Boy was insane it made me feel so much. I felt like I understood it emotionally more than mentally and damn it was such an amazing show

A band’s car breaks down on the drive home from a night gig that didn’t do to well. They call for assistance, but it’s at least 30 minutes away. Bored and kind of dejected, they sit outside and stare at the stars. In this moment of melancholy, the guitarist goes into the car and pulls out their guitar. They strum a few notes that they have just thought of, and the singer finds it in themself hum along. The bassist joins with their bass, and the drummer taps on random objects lying around. They play and sing to themselves until their music begins to synchronize under the melancholy of the night sky. This is what I imagine they came up with.

After this funeral scene, nagara break the limits and cry like fuck i feel that bro, after everything he's back to reality and seems like he already let everything go and walk like a man....
