Virtual Trip to China
Переглядів 1744 роки тому
We had just booked a trip around China for this summer when the pandemic happened. We are quarantined at home this summer and decided to take our children on a virtual trip to the places we would have visited in China. We also made some Chinese dishes, watched educational videos about China, learned some key Chinese phrases, and went on a Google Earth trip. We also had some fun with our green s...

A Day at Brewer's Bay Beach - Tortola

A Day at Brewer's Bay Beach - Tortola
The Mitla has been around for EIGHTY SIX years!!! Glen Bell had a burger place across the street from the Mitla. He saw how many tacos they sold and asked for the recipe. He took that info and started Taco Bell in L.A. and and employee of his took his knowledge and started Del Taco. But it all started with the Mitla. And I've lived my 63 years 1/2 a mile from the Mitla Cafe😋
You guys missed Taco's La central!!!!! How dare you!
We promise will go there in part 2! 😂
Y'all ate 10 tacos in one day? Wow, fun to watch this. We love tacos so we are bound to check these out. Fun to see you all.
We were so full at the end of the day. We had to pace ourselves 😂
Loved it, looks like a lot of fun.
There’s a place called Chucks tacos in upland, they bought the hard shell and enchilada recipe from an old Ontario restaurant called Los Monitos. Should do another one
We will definitely do a part 2 because we love tacos!
Please try Tipsy tacos!! 🌮
We will definitely have to do a part 2 🎉
Try comming west of the I-10 next time... There's alot more to the IE than SB county. Interesting survey just the same. Bob Bell got the idea of hard shell tacos from Nitlas when was running a BBQ place accross the street. They showed him how they were made and he invented the form used tocook several at once.
Thanks for watching! Looks like we will have to do another tour! Any must do recommendations?
@@myvacationpants2053 I have two places in Lake elsinore, Emillios on Lakeshore and Micho Tacos on Main St. Emillios has great shreadded beed tacos and Mita has a amazing Birria taco combo that is best when paired with a michalada.. Also you may want to try Tio's Tacos in downtown Riverside. They specialize in seafood and excenlent food as well as a amazing assemblaze art display. They are on Mission Inn Blvd. just past Market.
Wish you would show you all eating instead of just rating👎
Thank you! This was fun! I been inspired!
We are so glad you enjoyed the tour!
oh my god! Surprise you guys didn’t try the #2 ranked spot in the us for tacos by yelp which is Birrieria little tijuana in riverside! That’s on my booked marked. Honorable mentions are steamed tacos by titos la especial in santa ana, shrimp tacos dorados from mariscos jaliscos in pomona or the la truck, and los cholos in orange county! All their meat is premium and cooked over mesquite.
Yum, thanks for all the suggestions. We will have to do a part 2 sometime in the future!
Going to the most overrated spots 😂
What are your suggestions for underrated spots?
Maybe you should start your own channel and visit the "underrated" spots?
King Taco is always a good spot.
We may have gone back to King Taco a couple more times since filming this.
nice ! Taco Bell was born in the IE along with Del Taco
Lot of good food history around here. 😊
Taqueria is pronounced = (Thah- Keh- Ria) not taqueria (taka-ria)🤣, but kudos on the perfect pronunciation of "Huicho's Tacos" (I would have thought Huicho's would be harder to pronounce). Anyways, thanks for sharing your 2024 🌮Ten Taco Tour!🌮 Excellent video and it had my mouth watering, specially when I saw those grilled jalapenos. 😋My favorite four tacos are Lengua, Trompa ( not trompo A.K.A. al pastor), Cabeza, & Buche
Thanks, I took French, not Spanish in high school, so it’s a little hard for me, but I do love tacos. 😂 Glad you enjoyed the video!
Taco Tia was created by taco bell, not del taco
Yes, the history is very complicated. Del Taco was actually started by an employee of the Taco Tia/Taco Bell guy.
These are Big Pharma's favorite types of people.
As someone who lives in the Inland Empire 😂 I’ve never eaten at more than half these spots. Thanks for the recommendations 🎉 I live super close to all these spots lol, 😂
They were all really good! Let us know if you try any.
Love me some Huicho's ❤ . In my mind they are still a new place, but then i checked my Yelp review, and it's from 12yrs ago 😮
It’s so good! Can’t believe it took us this long to try it out.
U guys gotta try Tacos La central is a must👌
Yes! That place blows all of these out of the water. Next choice would be Rosa Maria’s.
Thanks for the suggestions! Looks like we will have to do a part 2. 😊
@@SiegeAM they focus more on home, not necessarily street tacos. I think that’s why I love them so much, I can get street tacos anywhere but there’s something special about RM
La Central in Colton, I agree the best 👌
This was a fun take on a taco tour! My family is for sure gonna check out your 9’s and 10’s!
Janette is awesome 😊
Do you guys fit on the Velocicoaster?
@@karil6461 Great question! We actually shot this video and posted it in 2019, so before Velocicoaster opened in 2021, but when we return we will make a update on new attractions. Hopefully someone else has posted a helpful video about it.
Thank you for actually showing us what you looked like in the seat and not talking for 20 minutes. I've watched like three others and they talk forever and didn't even really show themselves in the seats. Really appreciate the video. 🥰
Thank you for watching! We found a similar situation before we went and we wanted to help people in a similar situation. Have a great visit!
Feeling pretty good after watching this video and reading the comments 5 foot 10 inches 280 lbs . 41" waist Will be at University of in 1.5 Weeks 2 years ago I was 330 lbs and could not do the Harry Potter Rides
That’s an amazing accomplishment! Would love to know how your trip went. 🎉
It was an awesome trip was able to do everything except for Doctor Doom's free fall. Even was able to do sidecar of hagrid's. Plus just making small talk with some employees regarding my weight loss journey received several Express passes. Road hagrid's three times
@@BillBurgeThat’s amazing!!! That’s the kind of stories we love hearing.
Really helpful video guys, putting me and my partners minds at ease before we travel this year!
Have a great time traveling and glad we could help.
One of the only places to get cooled down in that big hot ass park😅😂😂😂
This was definitely a confidence boost for me! Thank you for the awesome video!
Slay!
you can ask for the "goose" which is bigger also.
That’s a great tip. I didn’t know this.
may i ask what weight dad was in this video ? , thanks so much for making this video
At the time we went he was about 300 pounds. He was able to go on everything, but Doctor Doom.
@@myvacationpants2053 DID HE WEAR LOOSE CLOTHES TO FIT ON THE RIDES ? IM GOING IN SEPETMEBER 19TH OF 2022
Not particularly loose, but thin clothing. A bulky sweatshirt could make the difference between fitting and not fitting.
Thank you so much for this video. I’m going next month and have been super nervous about fitting on rides, and this video finally gave me some piece of mind
That is exactly how we felt before we went! So glad we could help. Have so much fun!
So you bas have to b a 2x to enjoy anything there it seems
My hubby is definitely more of a 3x and fit on everything, but the drop tower ride.
Thank you so much for doing this!
Thanks for sharing
Aww shanghai disneyland would have been so good. Great idea going virtually. Hopefully you can do this trip in the future. 💖
Great video really helpful. I've put on weight since lockdown and have been turned away from a few drop towers and felt snug on others I've usually been fine on. We have a trip planned for May 22 and I've been worried. I'm a UK 22 to 24 atm which is a US 18 to 20 so fingers crossed I should be OK to ride the rides. 🤞🏻
You should definitely be okay. The hardest part I had was with my chest area, but I kind of moved around and made it work on everything! Good luck with everything. It really is a wonderful place!
@@myvacationpants2053 yes I have a large chest and it's stopped me getting on a few drop towers here in the UK that I've watched other large blokes get on. Thanks again xx
Just stopping by to say hi mrs v!!! I miss you! (I'm blaire btw) Also,, I started middle school now and it's uh... fun... 😭🖐
Hi Blaire!!! I know you are rocking middle school. Good to hear from you!
:D
Jk 😂😂
…
I learned a lot from watching the video. I never got on test seaters in the past but, now I am. I haven't been to any theme parks since my teenage years. I don't care about being embarrassed. I had to show my husband this video. My husband is 6'4 and 280 lbs. now we have a idea about how are going to fit on the rides. Thank you for sharing. I been reading some of the reviews its sometimes not about eating to much food. I am on a lot of medication that makes me gain weight which is unfortunate for me. Some people should never judge people. Thank you for sharing this video. You and your wife have a beautiful family.
My friend and I are 6.2 and 5.7 respectively. He's got a BIG belly at 250 and I'm rectangle shaped at 168. Our experiences in many rides at Universal ranged from OK to screamingly painful. Several rides had abrupt whiplash-type stops (Gringott's and Mummy). I can only sympathize with larger teddybear shaped guests. Ugh.
Come on guys. Stop it ! Just eat healthier no more fast food and don’t be lazy and cook at home. Stop these crazy reviews.
Shut up
kinda mad. I wear 1x shirts and size 36 waist and couldnt fit on any of the harry potter rides (so they said) and second time on the mummy they almsot said i couldnt fit. Maybe its cuz im 6'1 and a lot of my weight is in my thighs.
That's so hard. You can't change your height and your general body shape. I can see how this would be so frustrating.
Thanks for creating and sharing! Very helpful video ❤️👍
Have you tried rip ride rocket or velocicoaster? I’m going next Saturday and I’m also 5’10 and I have big thighs which I think is my issue
We went on the rip ride rocket! We both fit on it fine. We didn’t even need help getting buckled in. Velicicoaster was not open when we went, so I’m not sure about that one.
@@myvacationpants2053 thank you so much!!
Which one is rip ride rocket is that the red one?
@@saysHotdogs That is the red one with the huge steep drop.
Great video, thank you!! Helpful for planning a trip for our size-diverse family! 👏👏👏
Janelle, you didn't try the seats on camera, do you also fit? We're going to Universal in December 2021, and one of our party is also a size 20. I'd like to share your video if you also fit on these rides. Thanks for the information, I'm a guy with a 42" waist, and I was worried about all of the rides! I appreciate your information!
Yes, I fit on everything. If they had a larger seat available, I requested it though. Phil got on everything, but Doctor Doom.
@@myvacationpants2053 - THANKS!
This is what I wanted to know too. I'm your size. Thank you!
perhaps diet and exercise would be an idea
That's not very nice, some people can do that sure but not everyone can :( they could also have a medical condition
"Perhaps" ride designers should just be less cheap and make seats more generous so that people in all sizes can ride comfortably. Your comment is unhelpful and, worse, boring.
Also these videos reallu help people of different sizes (including height) get an idea of what to expect. I've never heard of diet and exercise helping anyone get shorter...
Perhaps shutting up would be a good idea
Perhaps if u don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. 🙄 Keep scrolling. No one told u to watch it.
Did you guys fit on the regular seat on forbidden journey? I think that I read that Florida has a larger seat, but hollywood does not.
We requested to sit in the large seat. My husband was pretty snug in it, but I I had a bit of wiggle room.
This is SO helpful, why do you not have more likes?!
Awww, we are so happy to share. We were so worried about it before we went and we wanted to help people!
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks guys
