Depends on book size. Medium size (I'm assuming 200 pages) 8-10 books can be fit...but who the hell carry that much books...this is a laptop bag...so i recommend this bag for a laptop and 3-4 books. My husband used this to carry his laptop charger, one of his favourite book and few other common stuff...like lences, hard drive, power bank...some keys, pan...etc..
