We tried a new location!!! Diamond mountain in Littlefalls NY. we found so many Herkimer Diamonds it was INSANE!!! We were able to find a tunnel and what we found will blow your mind!!! from small gems, to medium ceptors, to palm sized gems!!!

And it's worth prolly about 40 bucks, I've been rock hounding since I was 6, if you want some cool stuff explore the old mine deposits as they frequently threw away all types of crystals and other minerals as they were only after gold.
I wanna do pyrite mines. What's in this video is only a third of the bucket
We generally do not do the buckets we have a store and an online shop we usually just stick to hand mining all over the country, this was something fun for my daughter
@NomadicAdventure1 awesome, you should see if there is any gem and mineral shows around near you, they are really fun for adults as well as the Littles, you can find awesome specimens from 5 bucks up to 2k, it's quite the experience, you should take her to one if she's interested in that stuff!!
Definitely going to look into it we have thousands of gems and crystals some herkimer diamonds from 5-7lbs that are immaculate she would love to set up as well

So what are they are they like crystals what do people do with them do you cut them down for like jewelry or just display them and how much are they worth what's the money involved in what you found there ? Very cool
They are quartz crystals! The smaller gem quality are often used for jewelry, however the larger crystals are used commonly for show pieces. Crystals range in size and go for as little as $1 up to tens of thousands all depends on the clarity, points, and inclusions

I took my 3 son's here once. They thought it was EASIER to smash the rocks that were piled up away from the wall that gets dug away once in awhile. I actually walked along the wall until I felt like digging in. In 20 minutes at the only spot I picked and found a pocket with about 20 different gems. People started surrounding me for some reason. People were saying how they've been there for 2 days and couldn't find anything. Same way if I go hiking to look for old bottles... I WILL find them. I had a close friend who would call to help find her glasses.. I said look on the shelf on the left side in the office. Or look next to the computer. Whenever she'd call though I would be 9 times out of ten tell right where they were. My sister had always said if you want to find something just ask my brother. Enjoyed the stay at Herkimer but finding them so easily sort of takes away from the hunt.
I completely understand!!! I have incredible luck with finding what I set out for! I often give away a lot to the people who aren't so lucky, it makes my day more than finding them!!!
This past weekend I hit 6 pockets with large crystals!!! I will be posting a video of the highlights in the next few days!
