This bloke is hopeless talking about aus, a hilux is not a mini landcruiser. Most landcruisers have dual tanks standard, farken hell. Could you know less
Nice to see the FJ55 on the thumbnail
The fj-55 🥲
I'm digging the Barney blanket
Thanks for posting this, Tony :)
"Wait... Australia has invented time travel? ?" - my brain for about 2 seconds
The 200 series land cruisers, the greatest vehicle ever built. I know I’m late to this party but for those who know now. For those that don’t know it was the 2008 to 2021 V8 that can go 500,000 miles. It’s designed the last for 25 years in the third world country. Yes it’s $100,000 car but it’s the best SUV ever made.
I drive to work for a 2:2. It's a 6 hour drive.
Travelling around Europe and telling people how big Australia is, some get it, most don't. Some of them try to compare it to driving from Edinburgh to London... I just smile because no amount of explanation will get them to understand it until they do it themselves.
Australian gallon is bigger by at least a litre than a us gallon
On a road trip we passed through Atlanta Georgia at about dawn 7 am. Horrible traffic.
Bahahah this guy has no clue
I fly from Perth to work every two weeks. It’s 1:40hr in an Airbus A320 and I haven’t left the state. Yep range anxiety with EVs is very common here.
We did more then our fare share of landcuz wagons and turn them in to tray backs at my work… Aussie farms or cow cockey’s as we called them…
WA is insane. I live in Darwin, right at the very top of Australia, but it doesn't seem as isolated as some of those towns in the Kimberley or over on the Gulf. There is no way I would drive the 3000+ km to Adelaide but people do it - truckies are a rare breed.
Hilux is 100000 times better than land cruiser in every way, what’s this bloke on about

All Australian Landcruisers come with dual fuel tanks as standard.
I do she him Rolland hahah
Looks like you fishing in a creek
Tomato potato
Never a need to hold a beautiful fish like that by the gill plate.
Good info thank you
Wow nice fish
Thank you
18hrs is like Chino to Hollywood in LA travel time :D
"What is that Jamie?" "Too far" 🤣💀
Joe should shut the fuck up about trucks and what Aussies call them. He's such a cocksmoker
Who is this bum
NASA, ELON if you want long haul astronaut's for Mars and beyond talk to Australians we talk selestial and calender scale units of time frames in hours, days, weeks and months. You look at the clock with the odomoter for a rough idea dead reckoning location on the Roadhouse and bit of the track your working of a latitude/longatude to finding your 200L fuel driums that youd organise months previous to be.dropped there iat a location waiting for you to hand pump out of into your tanks.
you gotta plan your trip to anywhere in the outback because ... roadhouses or fuel stops are few and far, between or, mount extra fuel systems onto your vehicle as well as jerry cans
I used to drive trucks interstate in Australia and sat down one day and worked out that i had completed over 850 trips to Sydney & back from Brisbane over a 15 years period. In that same 15 year period i had done Brisbane to Townsville & return roughly 130 odd times and Brisbane to Melbourne return probably about 200 times. I reckon I've clocked up about 3 million kilometres around Oz. The reason most towns in Australia are all about 100 kilometres from each other is because in the days of the horse and cart 100 klicks is a days travel on flat open terrain.
Ngl, I read the title as time travel.
Half an hour to my local store for milk on a dirt pothole ridden road. Further for work and school. Dirt dirt dirt. 2 hours to a shopping centre. I just drove 8 hours straight to care for me elderly mother. 16 hour round trip every 6 weeks. My son spends 1.5 hours on a bus, in the bush to get to school. Yep it’s 100kms not miles, to anywhere in Oz. But how lucky are we!
Distance used to be measured in beers not klm
laughs in 120L dual fuel tank Landcruiser
Don't let this man fool you, most Australians know what a gallon is! 🤷♂️ because in Australian schools we learn more about Britain & the us than we do about Australia our own country. fact...
In Australia we have an expression "The tyranny of distance". It refers to the hardship of simply travelling from one place to another. If you live in the country, the simple task of just going to the nearest town can mean hours of driving.
"Tyranny of Distance" is a book. It refers to the distance people had to sail to get here from Britain.
We talk about building a high speed rail to connect Australia. What if we just made a 4 lane road with barriers to protect from animals getting on and had no speed limit? It would make a big difference in travel time being able to do 200 instead of 110 if you're going from Perth to Adelaide and what not. It would also be a lot cheaper than making a high speed rail line.
No, no it wouldn't be cheaper. Those roads are expensive to build and expensive to maintain. Germany spends a lot of time and money maintaining the autobahn. Both would be crazy expensive to build and keep running, there are no cheap options for Australia.
The animals need to be able to cross roads. The consequences of reducing or increasing the number of animals in certain areas can have catastrophic effects to the landscape.
L.A. to Seattle is about an 18 hours drive
Unless you live in Australia and travel around, you don't realise just how large Australia is. I was reading that Australia is the same land mass as America and England fits 33 times.England is roughly the same land mass as the state of Victoria. You can't beat the Aussie bush, you can go forever without seeing another human, with breath taking coast lines. And then you have amazing cities. That's what I love about this beautiful country, you get the best of everything. ❤ Australia 🇦🇺
Not true. Just look at a map. Australia can fit in usa
It's nearly the same .usa is a touch bigger.
Victoria is 227,444 km² England is 130,279 km² Victoria is quite a bit larger than England
you do know they arent to scale right?@@Shin_Akumi
@@Shin_Akumijust looked, not true to.your opinion..it's can fit horizontal exactly, but Australia is wider vertically both at the bottom and top. It would ve almost identical in size.
Ye we don't go by miles we go by how many tinies
Melbourne to perth forty two hours nonstop Mazda 1300😂😂
Americans have the Tacoma which used to come with a beautiful UZ V8 since around the 90s. Americans often say “we don’t get the Hilux” and while that’s literally true, the Tacoma is very close to a Hilux but I’d love an old Tacoma V8 RHD.
My 2009 Toyota Landcruiser Prado petrol has 180L fuel capacity as a factory option. I've done 370,000km so far & I'm in Western Australia
Western Australia is 4 times the size of Texas. It takes over a day to get to the next state, and the capital of Perth to the northernmost town of Kununurra is the equivalent of Lisbon in Portugal to Warsaw in Poland, one way. Its huge.
@CrayTom no, not really. Youre comparing an entire country to a state. Sad. All I know is that why should I share a continent when I could have one to myself?
Perth is the most isolated city in the world.
As an Aussie we shouldnt brag too much about the long drives in Aus as USA is just as big with a lot more ppl in between. Its good to hear a familiar accent on the JRS but.
Good ole Toyota the Hilux is my favorite mate
18 hours to the nearest city, so uuum do you have any jobs available mate ??… i’m desperate to get outta the city and off the coast line so i’ll literally clean shit if it gets me out there
My landcruiser came with a second 100 litre tank stock. Incredible vehicle, americans don't know what they're missing out on with their diesel regulations.
Yeah and the world is overpopulated
My 4x4 in Australia came out with 180 litres (about 48 gallons) diesel as standard. You do need it if you’re doing desert travel, and often have to carry more onboard
I;m about to buy a LAND CRUISER.... bASTERD
