SuperStroke Wristlock Putter Grip Install & Putter Extension (Watch This Before You Buy This Grip)
Переглядів 36 тис.3 роки тому
I am all about improving my golf game with new technologies. So, when I saw a chance to do that with my putting I purchased the new Wristlock putter grip from SuperStroke. I love the idea and concept, but I had my questions like, "So do I need a longer putter shaft?", "Does the shaft go all the way to the top of the grip?". I answer these questions that I had and many more in this video.

What material is used for the club dividers? Cloth or plastic?
Those magnetic pockets...I saw this bag and noticed there wasn't really a seal to those pockets. As such wouldn't they leak? Has that been a problem? Rains quite a bit here.
Thanks for the update. This will work for me.
Genius hopping in the car now
Thank you so much. This is exactly the answer I needed.
Thank you
I am not sure why it is so difficult to find anything that can withstand a 170mph golf ball. This seems better than the nets I have seen on Amazon though. Will maybe just get 2 of them and overlap in the middle 6 ft for a little extra shank width.
Legend thanks
Velcro is for your glove!
Thinking you could get multiple tarps, double up and also maybe rig one above at an angle to catch those pop ups haha. great idea! I'm going to use this idea and rig something up!
Im really interested about this bag but im using Jumbomax XL size ,really wondering does the grips fit in the bag?? I heard that they doesnt fit in the silencer bag?
Also interested in the same answer
I believe they should. I have an older version and the super stroke grips fit in the putter section. The size of the cutouts are similar but I haven't measured mine.
Amazing review! How is the surface of the WOODE divider? Is it plastic or rubber? I've read reviews from the past that the WOODE dividers were a little sharp and can scratch the graphite shafts so curious to see if they've made improvements in the newer generations.
Asking again, hoping for a response. Those magnetic pockets...I saw this bag and noticed there wasn't really a seal to those pockets. As such wouldn't they leak? Has that been a problem? Rains quite a bit here.
You made no mention of weight and none is mentioned on the Callaway site.
I did not weigh the bag but it’s pretty irrelevant if you ask me. It’s definitely light. Can’t be much more than 5-7lbs.
buying one right now, thank you!
Worth every penny!
Random question, do you think that the top divider will fit a jumbo putter grip? is it wide enough.
Sure is! Plenty big.
I don't remember you saying but what size did you get? And what is the tarp called. What a great idea!! Keep it in the short grass.
This one was the 10x12, I did it 12 wide and 10 tall.
@@gortmanmade7277 hey thank you. Play well!
Unfortunately i had the same tarp and it didn't last long maybe 1000 balls🙄
I made an updated video last week discussing how I don’t really recommend it for driver. Have you had issues with any other clubs besides driver?
@@gortmanmade7277 yes long irons too
How does it sit on a cart ? Is the leg mount sticking out and getting in the way?
They tuck in nice and tight to the bag. They are spring loaded so when you pick the back up the retract. No issue.
@gortmanmade7277 So, no issues with the leg mount hitting the cart and making it ustabil on the cart? I currently have a Titleist hybrid 14 way, and the legs on that are sticking out and hitting the cart rest, which makes it sit on the cart really badly
@@olelauridsen5854 i’ll confirm when I go golfing on Wednesday. But last time I used it in a cart I do not recall there being any issues or concerns.
@@gortmanmade7277 thanks mate 😅
@@olelauridsen5854 reporting back. No issue whatsoever when on the cart. They tuck in perfectly and strap down fine.
OGIO is definitely on top when it comes to bags.
I came to learn that quickly when doing my homework. And the 25% off sale they have going made it a no brainer.
I like guitar man looks great
thanks so much!!!!!! just the solution!!!
You are most welcome! Here is an update: ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
Great info!
Update video: ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
This is premo advice. I've finally got a garage that can accommodate a golf net now. I've got an outdoor net but is huge and takes up way too much room and limits that type of shots I can hit inside. Definitely going to this
Thank you! Here is an update! ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
A lot easier to glue the extension in, then chop off excess shaft length. 😉👍
Wisdom beyound your years! haha Thanks for the tip. Too true.
Everything seems ok except I couldn't find two trees in my house compound.😂
The one factor in this setup that oculd be tough for some people for sure.
Very intelligent sir. I had to google no less than 5 words you said to find definition. Good video
Haha! Love it! Thanks!
Also, here is an update! ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
Should have just asked your wife..wives know friggin everything..no need for google.
Love the net very durable and affordable!!!
It really is! I do have an update review coming up that I am working on today. Be on the lookout.
Update video: ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
Thanks for this Sir! I'm headed to harbor freight shortly! Already put up a rope i had between two trees!
Me, too! lol
Here is an update video! ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
Pipe cutter works great trimming a steel golf shaft.
I started just using my miter saw but you are correct, would be a much better solution to not dull down my blade!
I put wheels on my HF benches so i can use them this way or back to back as an outfeed. For the miter saw, i bought an HF tool stand, doubled up MDF and the miter saw is at the same height as the benches.. This gave me a good idea. Now what I'll do is build a removable miter saw platform that will hang/suspend between the benches to eliminate the tool stand but keep it from being permanent so I can still quickly move them around and use them otherwise as needed! Great idea bud.
Love that idea!
Another strategy would be hit the “almost golf” golf balls. They feel heavy like a real ball.but are less dense and limited flight. No way one of those goes through this net, and you still get the real feel of a ball.
I didn't even know those existed. I will check them out!
Hi GM...great info!...how far are you from the net in the video? .hard to tell...i'd like to set up the same distance from the net because i see your 7 iron doesnt go too high up on the net...
So sorry just seeing this, About 6 ft from the net. Very possible I just bladed the mess out of some of these shots! haha
Update video: ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
You're a hero
I'm not saying I am, but you have never seen superman and me in the same room.... oh yeah, and here is an update! ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
Now your putter loft will effectively be 0-1 deg because of the wrist lock grip and you won’t be able to roll the ball properly. If you apply this grip you also need to add ~2-3 degrees of loft.
Indeed. Which is why I moved my ball position a few inches further forward. It obviously works because a handful of tour pros use this grip. Not sure if they are fitting their putter with more loft, moving the ball forward or what, but lots of ways to roll the rock. Not terribly complicated!
Worked like a charm! Thanks for the idea.
Love to hear it!
No problem! Here is an update video: ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
Is it load when u hit golf balls to it?
Loud*
Not at all. Basically silent. The impact of hitting the ball is louder.
bout to build this in my backyard this weekend. great idea
You definitely should! I still use it to this day!
Here is an update video! ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
500 shots is nothing tell us how it's working when you've hit 15,000 shots.
Bro it’s 30 just buy another one
@@Adriansofreshfor real this dude cheap af goddam
I mean your name is golf weed soooooooo
Updated review coming in hot tonight!
I see in one comment you finally had a ball go through. It lasted a little over a year then before it died? Did you use it quite a bit for that whole time? TY for any reply!
Not like crazy, but Atleast 15-20 times. I wouldn’t hit in the direction of anything valuable. Maybe just don’t hit driver. Perfect for anything else.
@@gortmanmade7277 I think I'm going to use it for the sides and top of my cage, and maybe as a secondary net in the back. Thank you!
Year later, are you still using this grip. Did it help lower your "putting scores". Thanks for making the video. (Just bought the grips, didn't come with instructions)
So I sold the putter after a few months, not because I wasn’t good with it, just changing things up to a mallet. I think it helped keep wobble out of my backstroke while putting. I now go speith style and do left hand low and it’s helped me dramatically. But the wrist lock was a good help too.
Nice. I think ill do 2 nets to be safe...still under $50!
Not a bad idea! I did just hit one through it last week (driver) so it is possible, but it also stopped enough of it that it didn’t go anywhere. Still significantly cheaper to replace or run two like you mentioned!
@@gortmanmade7277 you should use almost golf balls, I don't think it would go through. Also maybe hang a small tarp in the middle to absorb most of the impact, that weight might help with the wind as well.
@@chaz72987 Yeah, lots of options. So far it has been solid but not perfect.
Awesome!
Thanks! Here is an update! ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
thanks for the video great idea especially as the nets with frames are so expensive
So very true! Here is an update! ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
I just got into golf and I've been looking for a practice net. I'll be getting one of these tarps soon
That’s awesome! Welcome to the most fun a frustrating game to ever exist. The good shots keep you coming back and the bad ones make you want to snap a club. Haha, can’t beat a cheap solution for a hitting net!
Here is an update: ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
Very smart idea. I plan on using this as a backstop for my daughters softball pitching. Thank you sir!
Yeah! Would work great for that as well! Really simple and gets the job done!
Update! ua-cam.com/video/W9oPztIjqd8/v-deo.html
You are delofting your putter, although not as much as with arm lock, the wrist lock will still do this. Locking the putter on the forearm means that the face angle needs to be adjusted to compensate. For example, arm lock putters have approx. 7 degrees of loft.
For sure, or you can do what I did and move the ball forward in the stance (about drive alignment) and hit up on the ball just fine.) Still get the loft and hit it on the up stroke. 👍🏻
Thanks for doing this video.
Absolutely! It wasn’t there when I needed it so I figured let’s help the people!
Soon to be thirty years ago I fixed my own invented armlock putters this way, since there were no other putters available!
I was gonna buy one of those benches the other day when I was at HF, but they were out.. thought about buying 2 and making a solid work bench with both together, but I'm liking this idea way better. Good idea!!
Do both! 😂
