How long must you train to be a tug operator. Have to know what you are doing... It is mind boggling that aircraft fully loaded can weigh as much as 800,000 pounds and still leave the ground...

The first plane I ridden on was a 747, and the first time seeing it up close in person was a 747 Northwest Airlines sitting outside the hangar at MSP, had up close view of the nose and fell immediately in love with airplanes and especially the 747! There is no better machinery that’ll ever beat airplanes, not even cars can’t beat the views of planes.

I have had to take a break from a Not to long Ago Text on the 747-8 which I was Just getting to when that happened as I Praised the Boeing 777-9 Incredible Hot and High Performance Angle of Attack Climb out of Farnborough Airshow. The 777-X will find her Niche in the Market Place in the Future, I just have that Feeling about this Magnificent Designed and Boeing Engineering Marvel with its Two Massive Power Plants. When I said I would like to pose a Question to Boeing it Would also come with a Caution to Don't Throw Away The Design Plans and Tooling for the 747-8. It might be a Forgone Conclusion at Boeing that the Aircraft is no Longer Viable. With Airbus A380 on the way to Retirement in a lot of Cases then if the Need for a Super Long Range Four Engined Aircraft still exists in the future why would you not Think of the 747-8 with Power Plants like that of the 777-X Next Gen. I am Certain that the 777- X will be Capable of carrying as many Passengers as a 747-8 but what of that in Theory of a Stretched Version of the 747-8 and the Implications it could have for Boeing on Two Fronts, Commercial and Military. Commercial in that a Stretch to the 747-8 Could be Done with Ease and I would not think Structural Integrity would be a Problem. It gives an Airline Freedom of Choice as Believe me I have Heard a Lot of Talk in Aviation Circles that say Their is Still s Place for Four Engined Aircraft. Think About That Just For A Moment. The Family of Boeing's Could be The 737 in its 7, 8,9 and 10 Form, The 787 In its 8,9 and 10 Series Aircraft then the 777-8,9 and to add salt into the Wound if Airbus Industries a Four Engined 747-8 Stretch maybe called the 9 Series. With the Military probably looking at Off Loading some of its C5

So cool. Airplanes really are at the peak of many human disciplines. They are marvels of science, engineering (materials, aerospace, industrial), technology, design (they have to look good and be comfortable for people to like flying on them), and even business (getting all the parts to build them and designing airline routes and fares is complex). Not to mention they look and sound amazing.

I used to do a lot of pushbacks out of Sarasota Florida back in the 90s. Biggest I ever pushed was an l-1011 by ATA. I know what it feels like pushing out a very large aircraft. Sure was a lot of fun.
