Having worked for a bank admittedly not in the US, I would never have a credit card with monthly fee. I have only had Interest rate only cards. If you are going to pay your cards total balance off every month, if it is Interest only not monthly fee card, You only pay interest if you have a balance on your card, whereas a Monthly fee is charged every month even with a zero balance. Any high interest rate card, get rid of them, and also the monthly fee cards. You really don't need this many credit cards. My partner and I only ever had one each. I understand keeping a card for emergencies, such as car repairs etc. And the points system for free flights etc is an absolute rip off. But that is just my opinion based on how banks work, and they will make as much profit off you if you let them. Do your research into the banks and the cards you have, Educate yourself on the banking system. Please for your own sanity and getting rid of debt.

I had a friend and we were on the phone I was like what’s that noise she was like what noise? Mortgage UW here, be careful messing with your debt while buying a home. Our system shows us everything and it could cause your DTI to be higher. Please don’t touch any funds you told them you have and don’t make large cash deposits as it will be flagged if they ask for updated bank statements. Congrats and good luck. Great video.
