Sinthan Top is Like Rohtang but BETTER | The Jimny goes to Ladakh via Zojila
Переглядів 16 тис.8 місяців тому
I took the Rebo from Kisthwar to Ladakh this April via the Sinthan Top and Zojila passes. It was a stunning drive made better by the fact that the beautiful roads were totally empty. This is in stark contrast with Manali where such scenic roads will be jam packed with tourist vehicles and would be a nightmare to drive with such traffic. Gear used in the Rebo's Overlanding Build.. A Fun Drive on the Most 'DANGEROUS' Road in India | The Jimny goes to Kishtwar
Переглядів 16 тис.9 місяців тому
I took the Rebo to Kisthwar this April. The entire stretch of the road from Udaipur in Lahaul till Kisthwar in J&K is cut across a steep cliff overlooking the Chenab river. It is a rough road, almost a dirt track in most places. No doubt this road will become dangerous during the monsoon season, but it is so much fun to drive on during this spring season and probably again in the autumn months....
Stranded in a Heavy Snowstorm at Lahaul | The Jimny goes to Triloknath
Переглядів 22 тис.10 місяців тому
I took the Rebo to Triloknath in Lahaul this March to attend the Yohr Festival. It was snowing when I started and although I expected the snowfall to be heavy, I did not expect that it would trigger so many avalanches in the Lahaul valley and cut off the road for over 10 days. But unexpected things always make for a great adventure and I had a wonderful time in Lahaul with my friend Suraj. Gear...

How are youanaging without showchain is damn impressive
All the locals ive seen drove without snowchains in these conditions. I'am generally very careful and won't hesitate to put on snowchains if the car started slipping and i felt unsafe. But it did not happen here.
Ma'am ye double stranded haii.. Like height adjust kr skte hai iski..... Acc. To requirements.
Plz make longer videos. A humble request
Personally, I find 15 minutes to be about the sweet spot. But yes, i should try longer videos sometime with less music and more ASMR
@@reboonwheels those 15-minute videos are okay to increase engagement and all. But there must be a long version for camping enthusiasts like me. If you are staying at some place like this for five days.... There must also be an hour and a half min version. how you cooked. how you were the stars at night. how cold did it get
how do you heat the vehicle? some sort of diesel heater?
sleeping bag
Awesome stuff.. be it stunning visuals, commentary, presentation and rebo a Jimny avatar.. Keep the momentum on...
Thanks! Glad you liked it :)

Good to see you after long time ❤
Golden Eagle too!!
They are pretty common during winters.
tibetan gazelle was a superb sighting you got !
Absolutely.. it was my first time seeing them. Actually there were so many of them around that i feel that it should be a common sight for anyone who travels in the area.
@@reboonwheels normal people like me wont last in Ladakh winter I think. Their summers are enough cold for me from my last 2 visits
Beautiful vlog & nice information about the things u r using....could u pls share what kind of cloth u r using for owning and the standing poles for support
Just regular canvas (not waxed).. the main support for the canopy comes from extending rods in the roof. There is nothing on the ground to support it by default. But if i need to open up the canopy side for extra shade then i use thin aluminium poles that i got from a scrapyard in Leh.
@reboonwheels alright thanks 👍🏽
Drive slow sir.. 30kmh is good speed In snow if ua new
Awesome video
Thanks!
All I can say is that you lead an amazing life! Great job with the hot tent modification to your Jimny
Thanks Alok
The same police checkpost is famous for torturing outside vehicle. I had been there 3 times and all the time the same officer incharge stopped me stating its not safe to drive upward but at same time he was allowing local cars to drive. for first two times i waited for hours just like you but third time I literally fought with him and he allowed me in just 5 minutes. I am sure he has same different agenda or he is not in good mental state. All across Kashmir, you will meet this kind of officers.
This time the delay was justified as the road was very narrow after snow clearance. It is a standard practice to have one way traffic on such roads
Where did you got that canope Is it suitable for thar
custom made
Awesome vlog ….all the best for your next trips ❤
Thank you
This truly is showing you as REAL without you telling us !
Thank you.. but what does 'REAL' even mean? :)
@@reboonwheelsREAL as in - true to your purpose, with no gimmickry, that one is so used to seeing on social media.
Watching your videos at the end of the day is incredibly relaxing and gives me such a pristine feeling. The cinematography, with its variety of stunning shots, is truly amazing and mesmerizing. Your videos have also ignited a spark for traveling in me, and I hope to start my own journey soon!
I'm glad to hear that.. thank you and all the best for your adventures
my only question. wouldn't the hinges of the back door get loose if you keep it open for a long time? in long term the weight of the door might harm the hinges maybe.
maybe.. but i can always replace them if needed
🙏🌹👍
So thoughtful yet so wonderfull setup❤
Thank you!
Please make a video on why you choose jimny over thar.
Simple answer is 'cost effective petrol 4x4'.. I'll probably make a longer video someday
After long time it's Beautiful & Amazing trip 😍
🙏🌹👍Great..Visited Kishtwar in 1977and 1978 (twice)Attended YHA Trekking.
Great Man 🎉🎉 nice vlog
This land belong to china give them back you indian thieve
Is there any chance you can take someone along with you on your journeys? I would be interested to join you on journeys involving camping as two people sleeping in Jimny won't be ideal i guess. But am game for it. Willing to pay as well. Please consider
I'm not a tour guide. sorry
@@reboonwheels Thanks for replying. I had to try asking atleast. You do wonderful work showcasing unseen India. Keep going
I hope you have a carbon monoxide sensor in there too
my nose.. honestly i find the air vents in the car to provide adequate ventilation. I sleep with the doors closed and the engines off, so there is no chance of the car exhaust poisoning me
Good adventure, keep going bro
Thanks
Looks like an Amazing adventure trip. Sometimes the locals in such places might not want us there amongst them for various reasons. It's truly understandable. Like how we respect nature, we have to respect these people's feelings too. Appreciate your desicion to return back.
The locals were lovely and very welcoming and friendly. It is just the village official who felt suspicious about my presence there
@reboonwheels oh ok. Happens!
hi! jus came across this vid and thought of sharing specially for the pipe system for the heating.. cheers! ua-cam.com/video/7ypAi5l9mf0/v-deo.htmlsi=cRQDJ7ugfGXYdCmM
Thank you for the share. But I'm not sure how it helps though. The pipe length in the video is similar to my old one. I'm much happier with the shorter pipe that i made in Leh for 50₹ and can keep in my roof top boxes
Nice video sir , where can we get this hot tent stove
from China.. but since they don't deliver to India, i got it via Amazon US
I am a follower of yours since ages .. from the time your were on feet and then wheels .. I really want to see you improve on driving skills . How the heck you went to that edge when you had a track in middle lol .. why are you not applying enough throttle when pulling the car .. and many more .. I like your videos anyways because those show the culture , lives and friendliness of Himalayan gems .. and I understand you don’t want to capture the driving essence but it will help you to explore in an easier way. I like driving on Himalayan roads and have a mountain goat like yours ..but no channel yet .. good luck anyways and hope you share more experiences that inspire us .. thank you !
Just found ur new channel......Congrats for your new car
Thanks!
Can't you remove the front passenger seat for a more comfortable mattress setup? Beautiful rebo btw!
nope.. then there won't be a seat for a front passenger. I already get around 6ft of space with this setup
@@reboonwheels hmm
The lasr drone shots are too good
thank you
Like your video, made in a clever way and based on common sense.
Thank you
hello there from Piyush ...nice to see a new video after quite a while. Loved the chimney idea 😅 ...any plans to buy land or home in Manali? ..I"be been contemplating but not sure where to start given the regulations
Thank you.. i have no idea or even plans to make a home in Manali at the moment. It is terribly crowded there and i realised it only after getting my car there. No place to park and always a hassle to drive in the traffic. I don't want to live in s place like that.
What kind of tyres were you driving on?Would it be possible to get snow chains on when you were stuck? At 13 minutes we see a little 4x2 car in the distance? When would it have got there? And got out?
I use stock tyres.. the Alto you saw goes regularly between Hanle and the Rebo camps. The bad section where i was stuck was beyond this place and the Alto obviously will not go there
Nice video bro great work at that climate ❤
Thank you
Is rebo automatic or manual transmission?
manual
all the best....
Did you closed India in motion?
Sir when did you change channel name ? You tube recommended this video to me. Then I saw that I know this man. Love from Kolkata.
This is a different channel.. i didn't want to mix the car videos from the documentary and hiking videos in India in Motion. So I created a separate channel for this
In 1993; I was 10 years old when we went to Manali & then Rohtang pass. We went on a petrol gypsy soft top. Then we saw at least 15+ feet high snow on both sides and the road was in between. Again I went with friends in 2010 but saw a small dirty snow patch some 400-500 feet on a slope. Other than that no snow. This is very disturbing how climate change is affecting everything & everyone.
Watching after a long time. Did you change the name of your Channel?
It is a different channel
Sir which brand n model drone u r using in d videos , ?
Air 2
Beautiful view and it was snowing 🌨️ too❤. You didn’t posted any video for a while it make me worried, i think you should post some reels or snapshot in between to know about your well being.
Thank you.. i didn't have any interesting videos to post in the last few months . But you are right, i could have posted some shorts from my trips. There are a lot of beautiful clips i have from my trips. I'll do that in the future. Thank you.
Lovely video brother... a much needed break from all the noise...keep growing
Thanks.. glad you enjoyed it.
