Poison is not removed at the end of the turn :)
6:40 are you supposed to use the mind's weakness like that? The card has an infinity symbol on it ...
hi.nice playthrough.2 questions though: when poisoned every attacker gets +1 so I believe this is added to the main attack before the 2x modifier, giving a final damage of 4 instead of 3. Also on your first attack against the moth though you were muddled you didnt roll twice. You gave an explanation but I didnt get it
Great review. But I feel like the markets are a great addition that can help change up the strategies from time to time. They unlock powerful combos like twig + wind for boosts and multi-attacks. And, of course, it's a card game, so you're at the mercy of the RNG, but refreshing mitigate that. You're bound to find something you like, and that's what makes it interesting - the game rewards being adaptable.
I always play Hermione! I love this game, it's really fun. Thanks for spreading the word about this one!
I definitely think part of Unstable Games' success is the art... You can't be mad when everything is so cute! I enjoyed the pace, depth, and order of this review -- subscribed!
We are really glad you enjoyed our review, and welcome to the channel!
I sleeved them all with sleeve kings and have no Problem that the box is not closing. They fit in. Nice Video
Thank you. We haven't tried to sleeve this game yet, we found that the cards are not really shuffled and we like how they fit into the dashboard cutouts. But it's good to know that once we're ready to sleeve, that they will still fit properly.
I love your channel and wish you will climb the YTube ratings! Backed this boardgame and hope I get it soon. Take meeples to the sky!
I agree! I really look forward to new videos! These two are great. They have a calming presence while still being excited about what they are presenting on. I have shared some of their videos on my Facebook page and with family and friends. ❤
We really appreciate the feedback and are happy that our videos are well received. We hope you'll enjoy this game, once you get it, as much as we do.
We appreciate your continued support! Every little step helps our channel.
I believe you made a mistake at 5:30 unless monster movement rule is different. It couldn’t take the path you took because it cannot reach a place to attack from with infinite movement but as there is an attacking space below the Mindthief, the enemy should have taken the lower route.
After a little rule book and reddit diving, we agree. We played it as though (even though there was no way for the monster to attack that turn) the monster was simply trying to shorten the distance to it's focus (the player). Where we should have been trying to shorten the distance to it's closest possible attack location (the hex it can attack from). Thank you for pointing that out, we learned something today.
Great list, I play D&D but have never played Gloomhaven - I'll have to try it out! A 1-2 player game I like is One Deck Dungeon: A dice-rolling dungeon crawler with some unique mechanics :)
We have not played One Deck Dungeon, but will definitely check it out. And, if you are looking into Gloomhaven, start with Jaws of the Lion, it's a great intro into the Gloomhaven game and can be picked up fairly cheap.
I love the game Harry Potter! I have played with two, three, and four players, and I find it fun any way. Thanks for sharing guys! 🎲 🎲 🎲
Harry Potter is great, it's our favorite deck-building game.
Great video and love seeing the mindthief being used (my current character). One thing, when you control an enemy, the rules state you should use their modifier table on attacks, not yours. "When a controlled attack ability is performed, the controlled figure uses their own attack modifier table".
We just double checked and yes, you are 100% correct, we have been playing this wrong (in both this game and the original Gloomhaven). Thank you!
@@2Players1Review Ha no worries. I was commenting to sanity check myself as I am still pretty new to the GH world... Keep up the great videos! :D
🔥
We are glad you enjoyed!
Great playthrough and good to see the mindtheif being used (my character). One clarification for me, you immobilized the guard at 3:15 and they were immobilized for their next move at 4:35 but then you left it on for their next action as well at 6:00. Shouldn't it have been removed on the first use of it as that was used and should be removed "at the end of their next turn" which was the turn at 4:35? Just want to check as I would have removed it on the first use of it as that is their next turn. Thanks again for the vid! Helped me clarify a few other things with the mindthief!
You are correct, when the Immobilize got applied at the very end of the turn, it would have waned at the end of the next turn. We missed that. There is a lot to keep track of in this game! Thanks.
This scenario is kicking my cragheart's backside
This was a really tough scenario, we had our most loses in Button's Arena than any other. We have only played Cragheart a couple times. But do enjoy how this game makes you really lean into the character's specialty to make it through the scenarios.
One life, that was close! 😮
Ya that was super close, I thought I was going to lose!
Wow tinkerer🔥
Tinkerer is very strong 🔥
I love the intro screen!
We are very happy with how the intro screen tuned out!
You absolutely can sleeve the cards as long as you use an appropriate 3D printed box insert to re-organize the game.
We are still on the fence about sleeving, as most cards in this game do not get regularly shuffled and we really like how they fit into the dashboard cutouts. However, we do agree that this box does need better organization, more than just stacking the cards in the box, and will be printing ourselves a box insert to help with that.

We hope you enjoyed our video!
Jumping right in, love that inrro and bam, game play!
Thank you. We also like how the videos now get right into the game play!
Nicely done! It didn't end up mattering, but at 18:39, you said that the muddle on King Button would have waned; however, he hadn't made any attacks since you muddled him so it should have stayed on him.
That is not how the rules for the status effect read. Muddle, Strengthen, Invisible, Disarm and Immobilize all last for one full turn. It does not rely on affecting the figure's action (whether they attack/move or not). They are removed at the end of the figure's next turn.
@@2Players1Review You're right. I always thought strengthen and muddle lasted until the next time they attacked. Probably confusing it with some other game.
Phalanx is pronounced FAY-lanks. It was an infantry formation used by ancient Greece consisting of several rows of soldiers standing shoulder to shoulder, with a wall of shields held by the front row.
That is super cool! And we like the shield reference/symbolism. Thank you, we learned something today!
Will you be posting the full gameplay soon? I've been struggling with this scenario on the Bruiser and would like to see how you tackled it.
We agree, this scenario is very difficult, we had our most loses here (so far). It feels like this scenario needs a mix of a strong strategy and a little bit of luck. And, we just posted our #5 playthrough with Bruiser, check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/3aDpz8v4Nu0/v-deo.html And let us know if this helps!
Great video but I would mention this. I 'do' sleeve the scenario book and the ability cards only but don't sleeve the player/monsters cards/attack modifiers so they slot in the trays. This makes sense to me because one, it flattens the scenario cards and ability cards plus they are going to be manipulated the most, especially on replays. The player/monster cards/attack modifiers are normally just placed into the tray. They are not interacted with until a scenario is won or lost, so the chance of it wearing down on its own is significantly lower.
Thanks for the tip, it does make sense to focus on sleeving the cards that get the most use.
Did I miss Mindthief #6???
You did not. Each mercenary plays a slightly different campaign. Mindtheif does not play Scenario #6. Scenario #7 is the Mindtheif specific scenario, it shows how Mindtheif reacts/responds. The rest of the group will play #6 (then they skip #7) and then everyone plays #8. Adds a fun variety to each character.
Finally 💪
🔥🐭👍
I love the new beginning and end!!
Thank you!
Each target should be rolled as a separate attack.
🎯🎯
This is a fun one!
We are not too shy to say we made a mistake, and just hope that others can learn from them as well!
i think at 12:20 you forgot to get the last sorcerer 1 wound damage but it didn't matter for the round. only for information.
We did miss the wound damage, and we actually saw that during editing but just forgot to put a note in the video. We left the error in because we felt this error would not have affected the end at all. Thanks again!
Keep up the good work!
Thank you, we plan to!
The unboxing videos are my favorite because it's all brand new!
It is fun opening the box for the first time and seeing all the new cards!
I believe that you'd win even if you whiffed that last attack, as he would take 1 damage from the wound when he activates at 43 Initiative, leaving him with 1 health. Next round, as you'd have no cards in hand and only two cards in the discard pile, you'd have to take a Long Rest at Initiative 99, while King Button would take his turn and take 1 damage before he can do anything (even if he tried to heal himself, he has to take the damage first), which would leave him with exactly 0 health while you are still in the game (resting, but still there). Correct me if I'm wrong please.
no you are not correct. in the long rest round king button flys away to attack. so in this case he need to take the buttom action to move and couldn t attack him in the next round to get him a wound. and because that the A side cards have a high initiativ king button could get his action before him and could get extra shields. so i am thinking that he run out of cards before king button dies.
@@Pellaeon75 Yes, not playing the Long Rest correctly would affect future rounds. Likely caused King Button to move back, and probably would have changed multiple things. Still a really close finish, either way.
That is a great strategy, to stall and let the wound take them out. The only question on this scenario, would be if King Button should have received the wound, since it was applied during the incorrectly played Long Rest round. But... if a monster is at two life, and gets the wound, what you are describing would absolutely work.
Hey guys just found ur channel awesome video keep them up 😊
Thank you, we appreciate all feedback. We do have more Champions content coming, and if you have anything you wanted to see, let us know.

We are glad you enjoined we have more Buttons and Bugs coming out within a day or two :^)
@@2Players1Review can't wait to watch your videos🔥🔥
I love how you guys highlight the being read part and darken the not reading yet part.
Yes we thought it would make it easier if someone wanted to follow along.
Thanks, guys, for another interesting and informative video! I really love your open game closet! ❤
Thanks, we thought it would be a better background (definitely more thematic) than a simple gray wall.
Great video. One minor correction - the top half of Shield Bash is a round bonus, not a persistent bonus. Didn't affect the outcome though.
Yes we did miss that and there is a lot to keep track of. We always catch some mistake after we are done playing.
Nicely done.
It was only scenario 1 but i did feel very efficient!
For area of effect attacks, you are supposed to roll a separate modifier for each target.
Thank you, we missed that on the Skewer attack. Yes, each target gets its own modifier dice roll, and can take different amounts of damage from the same area attack.
Wall of Doom only lasts one round. You can't choose to leave it active for multiple rounds. Also, ranged attacks while adjacent suffer disadvantage.
Wall of Doom is a Persistent bonus (infinity symbol), not a round bonus (circle symbol). Round bonuses last the end of the round while a persistent bonus lasts until you choose to end it or its conditions are met. As long as you are not choosing to end the bonus to during another ability, you can pick when the bonus card goes back to either your hand or to the discard. And, yes, we knew ranged attacks from adjacent hexes attack with disadvantage, we just simply missed that one. There is A LOT to keep track of during this game! Thank you for catching that for us.
@@2Players1Review The top half of Wall of Doom (the retaliate) is a persistent bonus, but the bottom half which you used (the +2 attack) is a round bonus. I also noticed that the second time you played Wall of Doom, you used the basic move action on the bottom half, but then still took advantage of the +2 attack.
I don't think you can use the Button Shield since the Bruiser doesn't play scenario 3.
You can, the rules for Buttons and Bugs state you can select items from any scenario that has been resolved or skipped. Which means you can select from all previous scenarios including the cover and collector card.
@@2Players1Review Ah good deal! I missed that.
I posted an unboxing and i was able to sleeve all the cards but the enemies wont fit in the enemy boards as good as un-sleeved. I kept the punch card so i can sandwich cards that way i can keep them flat.
We agree, the enemy cards do not fit at all once sleeved. And we do wish Cephalofair had gone with thicker or higher quality cards, so that we didn't have to make up for the cards warping.
Bishop is 🔥!
We can't wait to see how he plays!
Gloomhaven B&B 🔥🔥🔥
We are glad you like B&B as much as we are and we will keep uploading more in the future!
I love the new background, what an awesome game closet!
yes we love are game closet filled with a lot of good game's
I’ve really been enjoying the Gloomhaven B&B playthrough. Keep up the great work guys!
we are glad you like B&B as much as we are and we will keep uploading more in the future
Thank you guys for this video! Do you know how could I buy this game? Is it a part of a kickstarter, or can I find it in some store? Thank you!
We received our copy as part of their most recent Kickstarter. This game is being released to Retail markets but that will not happen until the kickstarter fulfillment is completed. Cephalofair estimated mid/late March, which we are now past. Most sites we found are taking pre-orders for when their stock arrives.
@@2Players1Review Thank you for informing...
Mindthief showed them who the top dog (rodent?) is, didn't even move for half the scenario.
He did great, barely even had to touch the rodents himself.
