In the video you cant really tell how steep it is and how big the drop gaps are. But overall it was a great experience and was fun. If you have any questions make sure to ask them down on the comment section. Thanks For Watching!

YZ85 Trail Ride (Tillamook State Forest)
Thanks for this video. I just needed visuals on a few things. I have to replace the boot on the bottom of the twin sticks but it seems based on your video I can just unbolt it off the top through the cabin and remove the assembly and then change the boot and put it back together. Thanks a ton for the video!
Can you regear this to 4.7?
I don't think that's possible with the chain drives.
@@rustysprocket8725 dang it!
I think there is an adapter plate called "Tacobox" that lets you double up two cases. Its been a while but Google that name, i think Marlin crawler makes it
@rustysprocket8725 I know that one but I am trying to find a poormans crawl box
Can I do this and with a 1997 4runner 3.4 manual
Should work
Thank you did you have to modify the transmission shifter
No, i did bend the twin sticks a little bit for better clearance
Thanks a ton
Last question what kinda truck did you do this on? Out of curiousity
Where did you find those twin sticks?
Front Range Offroad
On a 1995 landcruiser 3x locked I so far installed the low range gear and the spool to get rid of the part time 4wd. My truck has the stock transferase hooked to an automatic. What would this mod do for me. I was trying to figure out a way to select front wheel drive or rear. I also added locking hubs to the front.
I don't think you can get fwd or rwd from this mod on your transfercase, not 100% sure though.
Chain driven cases are typically found in automatic 6 cylinder trucks?
I think that 2nd gen 4runner & up is all chain driven, but not 100% sure.
You think they would let me bring my mopeds here? I can't figure out if they fall under class 3
Good question, I honestly don't know. Kind of a gray area.
Have yall been up since the fires? I hear it's opened again
We have not been back. Definitely been wanting to though.
How do you like the 1” body lift? I’m really not a fan of body lifts, the whole idea of it and the look but the 1” really doesn’t look that bad on your runner. Did you have any issues, and did you have to drill new mounting holes for the front bumper as it mounts to the frame? I’ve bin debating for a winter if I wanna put a 1” BL, it would solve all my rubbing issues.
Gave the clearance that i needed. I did not run into any issues at all. I did redrill my front OE bumper. The coastal Offroad bumper was ordered for a 1" body lift so no modification was needed on it.
Hey I just bought your go kart from a guy. this thing is awesome I'm located in molalla oregon it's 100%the same go kart
That's awesome, nice to know its still out there. Anything on it changed much? Small world.
Looks like someone just drilled out the key an put different front wheels on it. don't look like it's been rode much at all. it doesn't turn very well at all I think the front tires they put on it are to tall I'm not sure I have only had it a few days now
Nice. Why was removing the shift fork so hard? Just out of curiosity? I doing this to my 03 Tacoma, the parts should be here soon.
I believe it involved taking the chain and sprocket off. Not 100% sure though.
What system do you use to talk to each other?
We bought the Lexin LX-R6 motocom headsets. They work pretty well. Range is decent for trail riding.
nice video! Where did you get those handguards? safe riding, man
Thanks. We got them through Amazon
What perch did you use for the front struts?
Second perch
Brasil 🇧🇷👍🏻
Awesome
Is that 2wd?
4wd, but it's all the same components
@@rustysprocket8725 I wanted to see how you are solving the extreme CV angle , but then i saw that there is no CV in the front.
It's 2wd bro
hey hows it going? can you explain why you put the front endlinks in the back and vice versa? thx
With the amount of lift, swapping the endlinks brings the sway bar level again. The front endlinks are longer making up the difference of the lift in the rear and so on with the front.
@@rustysprocket8725 so the front links are longer than the rear, but if the rears are shorter than the fronts why put them on the front when the front is also lifted?
You use links from a 2nd gen on the front.
How are you liking the stock turn signals? Do you wish you went with the 2” ones now?
I prefer the stock ones honestly. All the wiring and bulbs stay the same. To me it looks better to vs the generic 2" round lights.
@@rustysprocket8725 thanks, I just ordered mine and I’m not really sure if I wanna use the 2” ones either
To me it gives it a custom look and retains all oem functionality. Sure its more work but i think its worth it.
👏 first how-to video for twin stick chain transfer case. Excellent video
Yes, hopefully it helps a lot of people out. Definitely a cool mod.
good job You have a great future keep going champ,,❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 😊

Please info on to your roof rack...I didn't see a video for it
Roof rack is custom made. I took off the factory rails and bolted my roof rack straight to the roof using the original hardware. Kept it low profile that way. I added a couple little legs on the front for better weight distribution.
@@rustysprocket8725 absolutely ingenious... My 3rd has the oem rack... I got another complete track from the junkyard...I am going to extend it... Please an indepth on your roof rack
Yea definitely, full length rack definitely comes in handy
do you have link for the amazon swingy? i'd be happy to buy through your affiliate link!
I don't have an affiliate link but here is how it shows up on my orders "Compatible to Guardian Gorilla Gate Hinge Heavy Duty - Flat Mount Prime Coated" Copy and paste that and it should bring it up. Unfortunately it looks like its unavailable at the moment.
@@rustysprocket8725 thanks very much! appreciate it! if you'd sell the same one but a bolt on, i would rush down there once the border opens!
This is awesome. I wish I could get something like this installed onto my 4runner 2002 3rd gen.
Mantap bang...😁👍🙏
You could probably sell alot of these. Alot of guys, including myself, want rear tire swing outs for multiple reasons. But the market currently is $1500 or more for aftermarket bumpers with swingouts. If you found a way to offer your setup for under a grand, you would do pretty good I think.
It didn't cost more than $150 in materials but it is also not bolt on. It can be designed to bolt on no problem but you would still have to trim your bumper quite a bit.
@@rustysprocket8725 so if you factor in your material cost, then pay yourself for the labor involved, you could still keep it reasonable. Even if you just prefab what you can and leave the rest up to the buyer for install. Maybe get on the forums and see if theres enough demand to make it worth your time. Pretty cool either way. I like how low pro it is. Looks like a factory setup.
Yea definitely, I was more just heading towards the fact that many people cant/dont want to modify their vehicles. Which is needed if you want to keep this as high clearance as possible
@@txrunroutdoors I agree. Join 3rd gen 4runner mafia on Facebook and gauge some interest if you haven’t joined the group already.
That’s very intuitive! I’d buy one from you or at least pay for the schematics. Let’s us know if you’re planning to make them for sale.
Mantap bang...😊🙏👍
I’m about to do this too. Wish I read the instructions when I had the case out! 😂
Most of the instructions I found were for gear driven cases, and I wasn't sure if they were similar. Fairly easy mod. Hardest part was probably cutting the little stubby part on the shift rail without getting metal in the case.
If you find the video helpful please subscribe, it helps me out too. ✌
@@rustysprocket8725 do you have to cut that piece off or just remove the pill? I’m not finding much instructions either.
You have to cut it off. That piece interlocks both shift rails from moving independently.
@@rustysprocket8725 the instructions are listed under Tacoma on their site. And of course you’re right. I was reading the wrong instructions. Thanks for the video. Subscribed keep them coming.
Ever consider on selling kits??
I haven't thought about it. Maybe in the future. As of now it has proven to be a good design both on and offroad.
@@rustysprocket8725 well let me know, willing to buy this!

Superb kart man....can you please tell what size wheel is that...I am in a project of making a kart but I did not got a perfect size wheel
Thanks. They're 29" wheels from a rzr
Thanks for replying ☺️......that means the vertical height of the wheel only is 29" ?
Yes that is correct, 29 inches tall
@@rustysprocket8725 but the tires seems like small....
Although the ground clearance also very small
Mantap bang... saya juga lagi bikin go kart..😊🙏👍
You should build the width of the front subframe, the same as the width of the rack and pinion......if not you'll run into bumpsteer issues
I am planning on using a center pivot rack and pinion and that should allow me to mount my inner tierods where I'll need them. Thanks for the tip. Its our first big project so it's all a learning curve
I am just finishing 1 with an R6 engine....check it out
Pretty sweet build man. Subscribed!
It is the PERFECT height
Thanks. It works great with 33s, no rubbing.
what coils you running up front on your 5100's? And will you get beefier coils (if so, what?) when you/if you install a winch? Thanks, good looking rig too!!
There is another video in my channel that goes over the suspension components. I included part numbers as well. I went with the heavier duty springs from the beginning because I knew that I would do a winch/bumper.
Goooood vid m8 thx
ita 30.9 inches
Do u have and insta? I would love to ask u some questions about your runner.
I don't have an Instagram. You can ask me here
@@rustysprocket8725 can u get the measurements from that center of the hub to the top of the wheel well for the font and back?
F: 25" R: 25.5" But thats also with a 1" body lift
@@rustysprocket8725 what about rear brake line? Did u get and extended one?
Yes I ended going with a wheelers offroad brake line. Mostly because the original one was cracking, but I still think its necessary
Looking cool guys. Keep making these videos it will be awesome to see the finished buggy
Thanks, it should be a little beast once its completed
@@rustysprocket8725 Yeah. I have a yzf600 motor that I'm going to put in a buggy and its interesting to see how other people do it.
Thats cool, I'll keep an eye out for yours. We're going more for a mini rail type of build with long travel suspension.

Do those wheels make the kart any faster?
They did. Only a few mph more because of the bigger tire diameter. Traction was also increased quite a bit
@@rustysprocket8725 thanks for your reply bro. Sorry for asking too many questions. Is ur engine 3 speed+ reverse or 4 speed bro? Last time you told me that your rear sprocket is 32T right? Whats your front sprocket size then? Cause I'm having issue with my kart the engine revs a lot before I shift gear with the current gear ratio. Your kart seems to hav a nice balance so I'm thinking to change the rear sprocket on mine. Btw how big are your new tires?
No problem, it was a learning curve for me too. Its s 3 speed + reverse. I don't remember exactly but i think the front is a 12 or 13. You also have to keep in mind our gear ratios in the transmission are probably not the same.
If it revs too much I would probably do one or two teeth more on the front or about 4 less on the rear. Tires i believe were about 14in tall
@@rustysprocket8725 thanks bro! Will try a smaller rear sprocket. Post more vids of your kart its nice to watch!
Cool bike dude!
Thanks man!
