Hi Vickie! Glad to hear you’ve made so many. This is my own pattern so it feels great to hear such feedback. Thank you for leaving this note and your question. Here are 2 different ways to solve your issue. 1) From the second row onwards, we’re starting every row with a single crochet and a chain on top of the sc, this together constitute 1 dc stitch. People usually make chain 3 or chain 2 and count it as a dc stitch, but I find that leaves a bigger gap. So wherever you did slip stitch on row 1 of the body, just pull up the hook a little and do sc into the same stitch, then a chain 1 on top of that (marking this ch 1), then 1 dc into the next stitch and each stitch across until you come back and do a sl st into the ch 1 you marked in the beginning of the row. Then we move on to the next round where we again lift up the hook a little, make an sc into the same space where you did sl st, make 1 ch on top of the sc, 1 dc into the next stitch and dc each stitch across till the end and slip stitch again into the ch 1 that you marked. Or 2) If the above is still confusing, you can alternately begin each row with ch 2 (don’t count as a stitch), dc into the same stitch, 1 dc in the next stitch and each stitch across until the end, then slip at on top of the 1st dc of the round to close. Next round you start again with ch 2, 1 dc in the same stitch, 1 dc in every stitch around and close as before. Hope this helps. @LittleHiveCrafts Thank you so much! I should have probably used a stich marker for that chain stitch, it probably would have made it much easier to locate... I will try that with the other's and see how it looks afterwards, if that makes sense, lol They don't look bad, it was just frustrating for me. I won't say I'm a perfectionist, but if I don't like how something looks, then I figure other's may not as well... And as silly as this sounds, I love to crochet so much, that I really don't mind ripping thing's out and starting again 😂 Again, thank you!! Great pattern too!

One more question..... I had been given some polyester and acrylic blend yarn.... What would you suggest using it for, or what can I make with it. I've never used it, and I have never used a hook smaller than a 4.25mm... suggestions? Thank you again, in advance ❤

@ It isn't silly, you are a real artist who loves their creation so much that you don't mind undoing and redoing until it feels and looks right. I do that too :)

@@vickiemillikan8563 What colour and thickness is it? If you still have the label on, it will say what hook size is recommended. Let me know and I can suggest something.

Hi, I have just taken a bunch of threads and done what's called a 'lark's knot' in macrame, through a hole in the end of the bookmark. If you look up lark's knot you will find many tutorials. Hope it helps.

Hi, yes the first round will have 14 stitches, so in the second round when you do dc2tog you’ll have 7 in the end. Second round starts with a ch 2 which DOESN’T COUNT: You then do DC2tog in the same stitch (as you did your ch 2 from) and the next, ch 2 and keep decreasing over subsequent 2 stitches with 2 in between. When you complete 6 dc2tog you will end up with one stitch in the end and ch 3 from the beginning of previous row. Decrease that last stitch and the top of the 3rd chain, that will be the 7th dc2tog. I have shown it in the video. Hope that helps. At the end of round 3 however there should be 25, there’s a typo there.

Hey thank you for pointing this out, sorry it wasn't mentioned - Ch 3 (doesn't count as a stitch), 12 DC into the centre of the ring you just made, slip stitch to the top of the 1st DC. Totally 12 stitches in the end of this round. Hope this helps.

Hi, it is about 7 inches tall but you can alter the size by increasing or decreasing the number of rows on the body.

​@@LittleHiveCraftsthe other thing I noticed about the size, after making several of them now, it also depends on the yarn used (and hook, but I still used the smaller hook for them all). I had alot of different yarn's available in my stash, in a variety of color's, and I noticed that the size varied with most of the yarn's I used. I did 10 row's for each bag, with the stich count at 36....so yeah, I did get a variety of sizes, although not a huge difference in the size's.

@@vickiemillikan8563 you're right! yarn and hook size make a difference to the resulting size and finish of the bag.
