Hello, I post weekly my workout videos from my local Crossfit Gym. I had a dirt bike crash in December 2018 that resulted in 2 brain bleeds, a severed artery in my leg, a tibial plateau fracture (26 pieces) and compartment syndrome in my leg. They fixed the artery and my tibia but I have a drop foot as a result from all of the nerve damage. My shoulders are trashed as well but I like to try to keep moving and stay motivated. That is the main reason I post my videos in hopes of inspiring someone to get off the couch and do some exercise! I've been working out 4 times a week since January 2020 when I started after all of my rehab from the wreck.

Driving home from Port O' Connor I saw a baby kitten in the road. I can only guess she fell out of one of the vehicles I met on the road because I don't think she would have survived long without being run over given her position on the road. She is doing fine and has a new place to live with us.

Love this Vedic, I worked on oil rigs for five years. Learned every position, but loved the Derick and throwing chain. Best years of my life, thank you.

Keep putting in the great work champ! 💪💪
Great load on your front squat there Shane, and your technique is stellar, very well controlled on both ascent and descent. If you notice though (if you view yourself from behind) you have a tendency to shift the load to your left side and the bar begins to slope down. This could be due to compensation on your more vulnerable right knee, but it is also related to your placement of the bar on your front delts. If this isn't corrected you will continue to yield to a greater imbalance during this movement than is necessary. Simply adjust your hand placement and offset more of the load on your right side to recalibrate your neutral position where the bar sits level with the surface you stand. You may be able to correct 15 degrees or more. Also the pullups you are performing and the technique you are using is concentrating far more on core than contraction of back musculature. Is this your goal? Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the input Mr. B! I have some issues with my balance. My right leg was demolished in a dirt bike accident and I can't feel much below my knee and I have drop foot. That's the main reason I'm always leaning left a little more. Then I have a partially separated left shoulder so no matter how hard I try, the bar is always dipping down on my left side. You should see how awful my push press looks! LOL. I've been back at it for 4 years now, 2019 was getting my leg healed and therapy to get back to walking and I started back in 2020. My right shoulder was completely separated in 2011 and it still gives me some issues but not nearly as bad and weak as my left. I will tell you the saddest part is my max front squat is 175 and my beast cross fitting daughter overhead squatted that much twice over a year ago! 🥲😂
@@LaCadena516 oh wow that makes more sense now that you've explained your injuries more. I'm not a huge believer in smith machines but you could really benefit from something like that due to your injuries. There's also a front squat bar (cross grip) that comes with pads that will sit more on your traps further from the end point of the shoulder which in your case was separated. Dude I got to say you are such a trooper for doing front squats with a separated shoulder. I would have just been like, oh that's uncomfortable I'm doing something else BAHAHAHA. But not Shane, he puts that head down and he goes to work. Pain is an idea. Ok now that you mention your crossfit daughter I see where the pull up form comes from. 🤣
@@mrbentiify 😂 if you go to my page, on the shorts is a video of my daughter doing the overhead squats I was talking about. 👌🏻
I really trying my best to be a derrickman.... Can you give some advice?
Did that in the North Sea , 74 to 76 and roughnecking , great times , bloody hard 12 hour shifts , but loved it , great vid 😊
I bet that was tough! We were spoiled, only 30 minutes from home and worked 7-4 most days so it was not bad at all!
you got this !!!!!!!!
De Venezuela trabaje en un taladro de servicios, encuellador. Con tubo de 4" y 5 " pulgada, eso son tubos de 3" pulgada, saludo amigo encuellador.
We rode the blocks up to the board most of the time it was better than a carnival ride 😂 then safety happened 😮
Yep! I was lucky enough to be apart of that era before everything went to hell in a hand basket. Back when roughnecks were men.
Always ten degrees colder up there , and wind was 20 mph faster . But still the place to be on a wet string 😅
That’s for sure!! 👊🏻
Why the music? It gives me a headache.
I guess the headache keeps your finger from being able to push the mute button? Or maybe the volume control doesn't work? Or, I suppose you could not watch it at all in order to save yourself from getting a headache in 6 mins. Damn man.
Pol rig I am warking good jop
Keep it up man! No matter how fast, move forward.
Yes sir! Always!
A derrick climber on a pulling unit. When did they start doing that? We never had to climb the ladder.
that harmony ❤
They are amazing!

Love your stuff, y'all keep doing your shit, and I promise you will get big. See you guys at the top
Thanks!!
Ahh, working derrick. Best job on the rig if on a nice one. I threw pipe for 7 yrs before becoming a driller.

No doubt!!
For some odd reason this made me think of that poor dumb Russian fellow who reached over a moving lathe. R I P ieces. Glad to see he isn't wearing sleeves but those lose Barnes straps are cringe..
👏👏👏
Brilliant effort guys, not being a hater but damn dropping the plates on to concrete makes me cringe 🤣
Lol! I know! I asked the owner of the gym and he said go for it so we did!! 😂. It was too nice outside to workout in the gym that morning. 👍🏻
Spent many hours on an old double triple
BTW, the biggest sin that can be committed on a rig, is the lose of the key to the v-door. I spent about 30 minutes looking for that damn thing under the sub-structure with mud, water and oil raining down on me until the tool pusher, Mike Stone, helped me out. I unlocked the v-door and drilling proceeded. Glad y'all have yours!
Haha! Yeah that’s a tough one! 😁
Man did I get worms with that one lol
@@user-vf7kv9lo9o You are an evil man. I think I'd like you :)
Worked derricks in central Texas during the '70s and early 80s on a triple. Good time in my life. Worked evening tour. Picking up beer at Linda's in Old Dime Box. Great video. Thanks for bringing back memories.

Once you get comfortable up there it is awesome. I absolutely love doing it and even spend my time off watching others do it. ITs an awesome job.
My fiancé just got promoted to Derricks. Idk if I’m happy I saw this or nauseous and even more scared for him 😭😭😭 you men are truly one of a kind I stay humbled by your sacrifices
Revenue generation... such a wonderful act of human nature...lol
Hahaha! Right!? 😂
I think I’ve seen the bag over the shoulder move before. That’s the precursor move that usually ends with one coyote’ing their way out of someone’s loving arms in the am.
Hahaha!!!😂

I worked Derrick for over 25 years because I liked the solitude that the Derrickhand has on a Service Rig. You look after your Pump & Tank and the Pipe usually on your own. Not so many idiot Oil company reps to deal with as a Derrickhand.
I hear that. Loved being up the stick in my youth. If you had a good driller and crew it was a blast. Didn't care as much for pulling rods but tripping pipe was a trip...
Yup. Derrick best position on the right rig. As long as mud is good and pump running, nobody says shit to you. I worked as a derrick hand for 7 yrs before go being a driller. Loved every minute of it. But then, that was back in the day when shit was still pretty 'western'. LOL
Told the boss we must look crazy to other people doing this. He said we are crazy doing this
how do you get down asap if there was a blowout?
This guy has no regard for safety or his own life. The Geronimo cart isn’t even out. Also he’s not even attached to his Tinker Bell. A.k.a. self retracting lifeline. If he falls The only thing that will stop him is his lanyard in the back. That’s of course if it stops him. And that ain’t no joke
