Driving home from Port O' Connor I saw a baby kitten in the road. I can only guess she fell out of one of the vehicles I met on the road because I don't think she would have survived long without being run over given her position on the road. She is doing fine and has a new place to live with us.

    Great load on your front squat there Shane, and your technique is stellar, very well controlled on both ascent and descent. If you notice though (if you view yourself from behind) you have a tendency to shift the load to your left side and the bar begins to slope down. This could be due to compensation on your more vulnerable right knee, but it is also related to your placement of the bar on your front delts. If this isn't corrected you will continue to yield to a greater imbalance during this movement than is necessary. Simply adjust your hand placement and offset more of the load on your right side to recalibrate your neutral position where the bar sits level with the surface you stand. You may be able to correct 15 degrees or more. Also the pullups you are performing and the technique you are using is concentrating far more on core than contraction of back musculature. Is this your goal? Keep up the great work.

      Thanks for the input Mr. B! I have some issues with my balance. My right leg was demolished in a dirt bike accident and I can't feel much below my knee and I have drop foot. That's the main reason I'm always leaning left a little more. Then I have a partially separated left shoulder so no matter how hard I try, the bar is always dipping down on my left side. You should see how awful my push press looks! LOL. I've been back at it for 4 years now, 2019 was getting my leg healed and therapy to get back to walking and I started back in 2020. My right shoulder was completely separated in 2011 and it still gives me some issues but not nearly as bad and weak as my left. I will tell you the saddest part is my max front squat is 175 and my beast cross fitting daughter overhead squatted that much twice over a year ago! 🥲😂

      @mrbentiify 4 місяці тому

      @@LaCadena516 oh wow that makes more sense now that you've explained your injuries more. I'm not a huge believer in smith machines but you could really benefit from something like that due to your injuries. There's also a front squat bar (cross grip) that comes with pads that will sit more on your traps further from the end point of the shoulder which in your case was separated. Dude I got to say you are such a trooper for doing front squats with a separated shoulder. I would have just been like, oh that's uncomfortable I'm doing something else BAHAHAHA. But not Shane, he puts that head down and he goes to work. Pain is an idea. Ok now that you mention your crossfit daughter I see where the pull up form comes from. 🤣
