I Reworked Juno's Ultimate to be MORE FUN in Overwatch 2
After playing Juno for a while, I thought it would be a fun idea to Rework her ultimate - Orbital Ray. She is fun to play and doesn't require any major changes, this is just a fun Overwatch 2 Concept!

The editing is so good, you couldve spend the whole vídeo trying to convince that she doesn't need an ultimate and I will still watch because the graphics go so hard
Seems like you're trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist

People wonder why i call this space nano when im a anna main. lmao. but props this is a way better version of juno's ultimate cause since day one i felt junos orbital laser felt weak an off, i think this is what it was missing an why it felt weird for me. if i could free aim it an choose witch way i could go i would probably like how it felt to use it. granted i use it when others ulte to give a team wipe every time without fail on a compatinet team. when i mean by free aim i mean in the range as you would have with hyper ring distance an torpedo lock on range.
Juno doesn't need to be any stronger than she already is. We need to go back to making ultimates with some downsides. If anything needs to be reworked, it is the auto aim torpedoes. At minimum, make them only heal if they are going to aim themselves.
Her ultimate could use a sliding movement to define its direction, similar as some skills in other games like Viktor's E or Rumble's Ultimate in League of Legends

Can you completely rework Orisa to be more fun?
I think if they change it to be targeted, have it target a teammate and try to follow them with a toggle to have it reverse to Juno. With this rework I'd say have Juno's movement input set its path or have it travel the direction the target is facing when cast, something about toggling between more than 2 options feels slow/clunky.
You can use her ring to help you heal crazy fast
Brilliant idea. Those infos should AT LEAST be visible when you press tab. You could definitely clean up the UI but I would love to have this
The direction change is brilliant but I'm less sure about spawning it on a distance. Makes it feel to similar to Lifeweaver imo. The different direction and making it go a little faster is good enough for me.
Editing quality is out of this world. You could become one of the best youtuber man I swear.

Alternative. If anyone has played guilty gear strive, and in specific goldlewis dickinson they know where i’m going. What of instead of a slow boost beam we just give her an orbital strike that kills people. Might not fit the whole support role thing but then again t would be more fun.

Two options, what if you selected who the beam focused on, so it followed them when they went in and healed everyone around them. Or it. Oils be like Moira orb, and slow down when touching someone but speed up when not

I think it would be much better and much easier if you select both start and ending position. Press Q to put in standby, click to select start, click again to select end and confirm using the ultimate. Press Q again before using it to cancel. The speed would there for be selected by the player. If you want you could also make it stationary by placing both points at the same place. You can place the starting point in front to save a teammate and have it come back to you to utilise it better. You can place it far in front to make it go by faster and it would be overall easier to know how long it lasts and where it will end up. No need for any wanky extra settings either

I like the idea of casting from a distance, but what if instead of choosing from 4 directions (which I don't think would be enough) you actually went into a sorta like bastion ultimate mode?

I hate Juno but I like this. Looks pretty nice.
Another way she could chose the direction the ray can travel is by picking a start position and an end position. Kind of like how bastion can pick where his ult lands. So you just pick two points and the ult will travel in a line between those two points
I think a better way of doing this is letting her pick a start point and an end point manually, letting it move between them. i mean, she literally has has an ORBITAL RAY, I dont see why the positioning of it should be limited at all, and the 2 point system seems a lot more intuitive than the position and direction system. also it should give low gravity for the hell of it.

The editing is amazing, and I appreciate how high effort the video is, but I think the changes you propose and your general philosophy are ridiculous. You bring the fact that Juno can't out heal the damage of two people deal as some sort of problem. Even though high amounts of sustain causes a meta that no one enjoys(double shield) You act like Junos not being able to save teammates who are far away and out of position as some sort of issue. Even though games where punishing mistakes are too difficult leads to borning matches where nothing happens. This is not mentioning that Juno can help teammates who are far away with her high speed, and her speed ring which lets teammates disengage faster. You are advocating for buffs to the strongest support in the game, and the strongest ultimate in the game by mitigating her one weakness of being unable to properly self peel. (She may not be the strongest after the nerf, but this video was made pre nerf so that's irrelevant)

Eh idk, I don't think that looks more « fun » to use. Like sure it's slow and maybe a bit clunky to use, but making it even more clunky to use by pressing multiple times to press a direction isn't a good idea in my opinion. I'd rather press, and hold while swiping a bit to have a precise direction, it can be done easily since it's basically what you do when using the emote wheel. But even then, I just don't think that the ray going faster or being able to control it better inherently makes it more fun or much more interactive Pretty great editing tho, and nice choice of osts
As much as I enjoy your ideas, editing and everything, I don't agree with anything you've suggested 😂. As a support main I think Juno is already very strong , these changes you'd suggest would make her nore op and probably unbalanced. The idea on 4:50 is particularly problematic, because imagine that the Juno could just be hiding away and far away from enemies as she casts the ring on her teammates. It would be almost impossible for the enemy team to kill her while casting the ultimate, and once it's cast theres nothing to do about it to remove it. Lifeweaver, Symmetra and Baptiste ultimates are standby because they're extremely strategic ultimates. Symmetra and Baptiste specially need the player to think and analyze the situation to decide where put the barrier. Also, a single inches misplaced can decide whether the ultimate will be useful or not. Juno's ultimate is just a ring booster , you push the button when things go bad, it's not that hard. You don't have to plan it that much. If you cast it a few inches off its not really going to make a difference since it moves and has a big big area, unlike the other mentioned Ults. Lifeweaver tree can be destroyed after being put, and it also only heals so it's not as good as Juno's, that gives speed+heals+boost. I don't like the direction changes too much because Juno is essentially a dive character. Also you can fix the problem by just looking sideways or turning back. It's important for me that there's a possibility to block Junos ultimate, so when she misplays and has to turn around to cast the ult, its easier to shoot her. With your changes, in higher elos, the ultimate would be impossible to stop or counter. Also, at 6:19 , that would probably take away ana's Identity and utility in the game. Also, the ring is more powerful than nano. Nano only reduces DMG taken and gives boost dmg, but it does not heal, can't make heroes fast anymore and also only affects one person at a time. With your suggestions, juno would have an even stronger ultimate than Nanoboost, that is already gameplay changing and very valuable ult. You can imagine how quickly that would be unbalanced. But its a nice video tho.
Sure, I never said it was a serious proposal, just a "what if" idea that I had on my mind and wanted to showcase it. It's all for fun, or maybe if the devs see this they can implement it for some fun gamemode like Junk's Lab. :)
1:30 imagine if juno had an ability where she could walk fly extremely fast for a few second so that she can get to the team...
juno ult no longer heal 100 per sec, this will not fix the main problem (not having on account that is one of the most boring ults desing in game), it is so small area and heals so little that tells the enemy team "here, come on, ult my team and kill them all"
