@@uncledeeproductions8854 If the USA doesn’t follow through with a tariff Trudeau will be in a bit of a pickle. If Canada is the only country with a massive 100% tariff ( basically banning Chinese EV ) China will make an example of Canada and ban all sorts of resources they get from Canada that they can easily get elsewhere.Canada needs China way more than China needs Canada . But if Trudeau does the same as Biden and cancels the tariffs it will be so obvious he is a lap dog of Uncle Sam after they went through the Charade of monthly public consultations pretending they researched the decision to put tariffs on very carefully. Most Canadians are pretty thick buying into all the anti China propaganda so many were happy when they found out they were not going to be able to buy affordable Chinese cars . Oddly many Canadians seem to think Canada and USA is one country with it only sinking in when they have to cross the border . USA is a massive economy and has way more cards to play when dealing with China , Canada on the other hand have no cards to play they will get spanked good by China . Should Trump get in he will put 10% tariffs on anything from anywhere coming into the USA . With Most ICE cars being made in Canada being sold in the USA how will that affect Canada ? Are Americans willing to pay that extra 10 % for a car ? It could be the last nail in the coffin of cars being made in Canada . Canada may end up like Australia with it not being economically viable to manufacture cars anymore.

BYD already has plant in the US building electric buses. Taxi fleets in Canada already are using BYD EVs at least 5 years ago ! The UK is the only country in Europe that has not cave in to Uncle Sam with tariffs on Chinese EVs, but of course the mainstream media has been dead silent about this as there will be over 80 BYD dealerships in the UK alone

Canada buckled to the USA , Im sorry about that, there wont be any EVs made for 2 more years. so , now we have the USA and Canada basically telling folks we cant have the BYD Shark. unless u pay 100% tariff. so if u pay cash in Mexico and drive the shark through USA and back to Canada , Im srry my friend , I believe that tariff would apply . im also pretty sure , hear me out on this , Ithink the USA and Canada are going to use any and every power it has to make it very difficult to bring a BYD into our countries. can u f believe because based on my Nationality , I cant buy a f hybdrid shark , the most tech vehicle out there . im pretty sure they will now apply tariffs to china - Tesla and now have those made here in Gigatx . i will research tonight . thank u my friend .

when I buy the BYD Shark in Mexico , it will have Mexico plates. you can drive it with Mexican plates for up to one year in the USA. if you try to register it , in the USA , as in getting a USA VIN ( vehicle ID # ) then the 100% tariff would apply since it was made 100% in China. IF BYD opens a plant in Mexico and makes a Shark Truck at the plant in MX , those documents would show 100% made in MX and you could register it in the USA and just pay an import fee based on the MX/Canada/ USA trade agreement , and would have to pass USA safety standards. BUT , USA and Canada are trying to find a way to close that "loophole" . USA and Canada do not want BYD in their countries, unless BYD builds a plant in the USA . 2 countries in the whole world where I can not buy the most tech Truck ever made🤠🤠🤠

The legacy automakers could make the shift long time ago but instead like Volkswagen fake their emissions instead, all profits went where? So US will become a worse China with the difference that there is no ending in subsidies to keep prices low! China invest more in infrastructure than other areas. China does not have prices low by subsidies, they export cars have higher prices. Now, General Motors is saying the Chinese are innovating too fast! China more capitalist with over 100 car makers makes China the most competitive country in the world. US becoming communist!

I have had many people that are familiar with Tesla that have looked at the BYD charger and it is compatible with Tesla. If BYD builds a plant in MX and makes the shark there , I assume that would that stay the same , I hope it does 🤠

my understanding is that the tariff would apply if I register it in the USA , as in getting a USA VIN and it would stay permantley. , as essentially I would be importing it. if u go into the USA and start the year process and then go back it does not start over . if u are just going to drive around , ex Mcallen and then cross back to reynosa every so often , that might work as it is "loose" in the border towns.. I am going to call the CBP office and make a vid of the conversation and get the official details

another important item regarding the tariff, the BYD SHarks that are in Mexico now , are 100% made in China. If BYD opens a plant in Mexico and make the Shark 100% in Mexico then the tariff would not apply . USA and Canada are looking to block that "backdoor" . 2 years ago I was going to buy a Chevy Captiva which is 70% made in China and that is when I learned some of this process

But I am a Chinese citizen with only American PR card. I am applying Mexican PR card now and maybe that could help. Also I am thinking on just waiting for Mexico made BYD for less tariff. Or just import one from China. It is still cheaper than cars here in USA.

typically its 20 % down , BYD sells EVs at 4 Liverpool Retail Locations in MX city. you can go on the Liverpool website and it will give the financing terms. I know MX City is far away , just an idea to get a sample of the terms. I just did a vid on a guy that bought one in Hermisillo MX and I think he mentions the terms. OR call the guy at the Hermisllo BYD and ask him. you prob have to be or have a Mexican National sign for the loan

if you import one from china to USA i there will be a 100% tariff placed on it , alot better to just get one that already in Mexico . please keep me posted

@@uncledeeproductions8854 100% tariff only tax on pure EV, BYD hybrid has much better technology and efficiency than Toyota and can avoid tariff. Plus, if I can directly import EV from Chinese domestic market, I can even import other brand with far better design and better low consumption, such as XPEV and IM Auto, which can do 12kW per 100km. meanwhile the Volvo EX30 is 16kW/100km and BYD Seal is 18kW/100km.

The BYD Shark s that are in Mexico now , were of course built in China , it could essentially be imported permanently to the U.S. but there would be a 100% tariff , which would not make any sense to import one. as far as emissions go , the Shark has 0 emission per 62 miles ( NEDC) ( not towing a trlr ) you are correct though it would need to pass U.S. standards . but I would be just driving it for one year in TX for marketing purposes . then after the one year , I would drive it back to MX , then it would be parked in TAM or QROO

border guards will def want to see proper documents , if somehow I crossed , later on down the road TX DPS could stop me for the docs . when u drive across they know ur plate , name , pic , everything lol. I was going to buy a cheap Captiva one time and I decided not too based on the headache . i really want that shark ,lol
