That was mostly a showcase on why Opal is broken. Urza saga pumping tokens t2 and t3 is too strong. Dont see much of the upside of lantern exactly. That couldve been any opal/saga deck and twin would've lose there.

there used to be a whirza sword deck, but I am trying it either a skill issue or bad draws, when was the last time you played that?

What's your thoughts on keeping in Bridge match 3? It's kinda useless right, you could shave two I think.

Lovely content but the first thing you should look into if you want to improve video quality is a better microphone for the voice over.

It's so bittersweet that opal is unbanned. I bought a lantern deck as my first modern deck, not really knowing it was not a good deck in the meta at the time. I love playing lantern, now we have a great card for it but the price tag makes my eyes water. Why do I get into such expensive hobbies. (but who am I kidding, even with it I'd probably still play terribly 😂) I love your content, it's been a great source since the beginning.

Am I alone in seeing the broken thing happening is urza’s saga more so than Mox opal?

being not as familiar with the blasting station deck, felt like in game 1 where you went for cage you should have just gone for needle because how were they ever beating needle on station? game 2 i think you're biggest rush is trying to disrupt them when you have a small hand and not a lot of tools to interact. Should have probably just fired off thoughtseize on turn 2 or held up extirpate. Game 3 I think you just thoughtseize the breach, then plan to extirpate it the next turn because again how do they beat that? I don't know if i'm missing something here on those plays, and game 2 was definitely the most unsure since you didn't have much work with, but it just felt to me like shutting off or getting rid of their combo pieces they need to win should be top priority. If you can just stop them from winning on the spot you'll have time to draw into pieces to keep them from maybe backdooring into something later. Also while I know life loss is a real thing, your mana base frequently made the combo of thoughtseize and extirpate awkward because of only one black source and not being able to use them in the same cycle and surgical extraction will never have this problem. Surgical is also great for helping get your hand empty faster and just being faster in general when your deck wants to set up as quickly as it can.

i think you should play out everything in the dark because a discard spell or spell pierce wrecks the whole hand unnecessarily

Have you tried a lava spur boots in one of the flex slots in the deck? Having it as a tutor for the fair karnstruct beats seems valuable.

45:30 the 2 cuts you were looking for against grinding station were Ensnaring Bridges 💁‍♂️ Also Torpor Orb might have been the card you were desperate to find with whir at the end of g3. Maybe good to board in next time ?
