Not only is she an international speaker who's authored and published two books, she finds time to run a non-profit, she's a model of diversity who advocates for people with disabilities. She was the 1st ever Miss Wheelchair Canada, Miss Kindness World. In 2021 she was awarded the Women of Inspiration "Influencer" award. Not only her beauty but her character has won her awards.
When Vahen is not speaking, writing or modeling, she can be found jumping out of airplanes or parasailing in Thailand & documenting it all on her UA-cam channel. Nothing, not even a disability holds this girl back. Vahen acknowledges that her greatest achievement is seeing how her message of resiliency & determination challenges men and women of all ages and abilities to see past their self perceived limits and go farther than they dreamed. Vahen credits her husband, her faith, and determination as her anchor and strength.

Hi, thank you for the comment. I use my walker around the house. And have on occasion tried cruches. There not as sturdy.

That's an avoidable risk! Add some vertical grab bars to the center post..... And it's not encouragement you need.... your body is close to buckling. It's not worth risking an injury just to make someone else smile. Choose safety and whatever puts a REAL smile on your face. Nothing else matters!
Thank you for your comment . I appreciate your concern. I actually did this for me. And was happy I accomplished it. I do lots of things I dont record. And when I do, its not because I need the encouragement or accolades, its that I feel others might be encouraged to at least TRY something and or not give up. This is a house we were visiting, and as I was waiting for someone to help me down the stairs, and I felt I could do it on my own. Probably not the best idea to do in heels 😂 but thankfully it worked out ok lol. 🥰

Hi Josh actually I'm considered a Quad Because more than to of my limbs are affected. I have limited mobility in my right had. But I'm highly functioning. And look like a Para. Its confusing I know... Thanks for your question 🥰
@@VAHENKING I am a C.6/7 quadriplegic. But I do more than I should because I want to and my injury was when I was 16 back in 1996. Back then you became the best you you could be. I see so many quads now that do nothing.

I think that circular staircases are a challenge for anyone. My wife absolutely refuses to ever go up or down them. So good job!

What happened to your new chair??
Yes I had some issues with the new chair because I ordered it when I was physically stronger and the back that I ordered with the chair was not supportive enough for me so I had to get the old back put on the new chair and that wasn't an easy or smooth.

Thanks for posting! Interesting how different your transferring is from Empowered Para’s, which I saw a while ago. I do wish my wife had watched this type of videos years ago, and she might have been encouraged to learn to drive.

Nifty use of a paint roller to pull the door closed. Yes, I guess having some core strength is very helpful. Can you use Cruise Control while driving?

The alternative is me not getting to go to the bathroom. I find people are always understanding because they understand the basic human needs we have and need access to. But thank you for your comment, its ok that you don't understand, but its sad that you don't. I hope you have people in your life who extend compassion and kindness to you. Shes not blocking a whole restroom, the incompetent establishment not following proper ada requirements are the ones causing the whole bathroom being temporarily blocked.
