I like both Corvettes.

The C8.R sound isn't bad just not as thumping as this pushrod V8. I still wonder why Corvette Racing decided to switch a flat plane V8 instead of sticking with this one, they could've made it work with the mid-engine layout.

It is not less powerful, they have the same amount of HP (490 hp)

@@sonter2377 I never said it was less powerful, I just stated that if Corvette Racing could've kept the pushrod V8 for sound it would've made me happy The mid engine layout doesn't bother me at all and I like I said the flatplane V8 isn't a bad sound at all, it's grown on me

Not that slow at all. The r-8 could make 13 turns on the Le Mans circuit.

Its power was limited at Le Mans 2016 as it was way too fast on straight while being at the same time a monster on corners. The 2016 Audi R18 was probably the first LMP1 ever to be under BoP.

To a degree yes. Torque means how much work the cylinder does per revolution. And horsepower is how fast it makes the work. Usually, torque = acceleration and horsepower = top speed.

Same circumstances, same coasting, same fuel saving and battery charging method. I would love to know what happened with the car that the 2016 one looks slower than the 2014 from the onboard.

@@Petidani0330 Audi was under BoP (Balance of Performances) at Le Mans 2016 by having its power limited as it was way too fast. Probably it was the first time an LMP1 was ever BoP'ed. But without the BoP it was as fast as Toyota TS050 Hybrid 2017 (which is overall the fastest LMP1 in history) at Nurburgring, Mexico and Lone Star. Also the Audi R18 2016 holds the absolute track record around Bahrain at WEC, meaning it was faster at Bahrain than any previous Audi, any version of Porsche 919 Hybrid and any version of Toyota TS050 Hybrid up to this day. So it is the fastest car Audi ever made on high downforce tracks and the second fastest car made by Audi on low downforce tracks only behind the Audi R18 e-tron quattro 2015. In WEC 2016 out of 9 races Toyota took 1 pole position, Audi and Porsche took both 4 pole positions. So the Audi R18 2016 is way faster than the Audi R18 e-tron quatto 2014, for example it was 5 second faster than the 2014 version at "Circuit of The Americas aka "Austin" or "Lone Star Le Mans" and 1,5 second faster than the 2015 version at that same track.
