i mean, i get it, but we're talking two different instruments here so your point doesn't make sense

I could nerd out about this for hours but I’ll try to keep it short lol. I built the Tele to sound similar to the Ibanez so I actually really appreciate that. Mostly when it comes to guitar tone, it boils down to whoever is playing because attack and clarity seem to be most effected by picking, with some pickups maybe being brighter or darker. If you have a “muddy” sounding guitar, you can pluck strings differently to compensate Some guitars can be warmer and fuller or thinner, but most of us are going to plug them into a bunch of pedals and amp of choice, and those are going to have EQ’s to compensate right? I did a song with my six Strats playing through the song and the cheapest ones sounded honestly quite close to the more expensive ones, and even though I mixed them to sound most like themselves, I could’ve adjusted the EQ’s to basically make them all sound the same. I think that some of the most expensive guitars can be spec’d in ways that sound essentially the same as much much cheaper guitars just because that’s the sound they’re going for (warmer, darker, etc.) and at the end of the day… Most guitars sound great. Period. There’s a level of “oh that sounds good!” That just lumps everything into a similar sound compartment in the tone library of the mind lol All that being said, I did record these on my phone speaker and adjusted the EQ in Dolby On. Also, the Telecaster is basswood like a typical Ibanez, both guitars have roasted maple necks, both pickups are alnico 5 humbuckers, 17k in the Ibanez and 14k in the Tele.
