Hi, I'm Paul Michal, owner of Loose Boot Woodworking.
This channel will mainly be about my woodworking ventures and work shop. I do plan to get into blacksmithing at some point, and will include some metal fabrication. We also have a small hobby farm, so there may be the occasional animal update along the way. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy this as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.

Concrete Countertop Mold
In this episode of Loose Boot Woodworking, we build a concrete countertop mold, and pour some concrete. This is something my wife and I have been wanting to do for a while, so we are super excited to finally get it completed.

Measurements for the side placements would be helpful and ensure the symmetry.
So sorry, always keep the good memories.
Thanks! The good ones are always the best.
Love this stuff! Model Railroads are cool!
No doubt brother!
Awesome Paul!!! 🫡 Good on ya for just going at it and making it work! The little flaws or mistakes just add character to tell stories about later 😉👍😁
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks Thanks Josh! And let me tell you, this one really has a story. 🤣
Looks good to me! It had to be a little heavy.
It was, definitely a two-person job!
Polish the top, it'll be great! Vibrating the form while pouring the mortar helps work out the voids
Yeah, it set up so fast, I didn't really have time. Plus, I just was so frustrated at how bad it was going, I completely forgot. Regardless, it turned out pretty good.
I thought you were going to go the route I’ve been doing all this time , hold it with my free hand 🖐️ lol😂 but who’da thought , carpet ! Hot dayum!🎉🎉 nice 👍🏼
Right!?! Who would have thought... 🤔
@ I damn sure wouldn’t have that’s genius bro 😎
.....
😂🤘🏼
Great channel. i subscribed. Thanks for the video!
Glad you did, thanks for subscribing!
Looking good 🤘🏼
Appreciate it Kat.
😂 Just make it darker and add some green and tell them it's for Christmas
Paint and lights, now that would be epic.
Mine works too. I used WoodPrix plans and made it without any problems.
Very common problem for us with a beard 😂
Guess I need to invest in a full face shield
Happens all the time, I feel your pain! 😂
I talk to myself. I cuss at my saws!
Saws are so stupid, especially when they cut the board too short.
@@loosebootwoodworking IKR!! 😉
so jealous , those are some nice wide boards.
Glad you like them!
sorry to he about you guys lost. I have dogs and cats all my life, but since it's just me now I lost the cat almost 1 year ago.❤❤😢😢😢
Yeah, losing pets is tough, especially when they've been around for a long time.
Sry for your loss, love the work and idea
Sorry for your loss, the box turned out very well!
Thanks Ray and Sandy, much appreciated
Watering the tree?? Pan under the stump?
My wife said I needed to show that, maybe I do a follow up short. 😉
Right on!
Right!?!
Good idea Paul! Way better than the metal one!
Super sturdy to boot.
honestly, that counts
Thanks!
Soft-close drawers, then he proceeds to aggressively shut them😂
Doh! I've been found out.
Sweet 🎉
Great job Paul, they look really good!
Thanks, it's a work in progress.
Wood stoves are the best!
Agreed!
I have done the same thing this morning, what are the, I am guessing fire bricks,on the top of the stove used for?
I originally bought them to replace the brick in our wood stove in the house; however, they are too thick. So I'm using them as a heat-sink, allowing more heat disep dissipation after the fire burns out. Thanks for asking.
That's awesome, super cool attachment!
It really is!
Nice review and video. Congrats on winning it and sharing it with us ! ✌️
My pleasure!
AmyJo, thank you for being so faithful at liking and commenting, it really makes a huge impact.
Congratulations, free stuff is always good. I'm sure it will be very useful. Nice video Paul!
Thanks Ray!
Like number 101 great project for me to do thanks good day
Thank you! Cheers!
Happy you showed your error of setting the stop block on the wrong side. Now I know why mine didn’t work outs. Now I can’t wait to try it again.
I figure, we all make mistakes, why not be honest about how it goes sometimes.
Great video Paul! Love the humor added in 👍🫡
Glad you enjoyed it
😮 great idea
Thank you! 😊
At first I was like "there's no way those scraps are useful.." and then bam. Genius
I know, right!?!
Thats a good idea
Thanks!
Very cool Paul, great video!
Thanks Ray!
I might use some Brad nails to angle through the joints of the candy cane
And then you did
Yeah, I had to, just not enough strength with just wood glue on end grain.
I sent you a couple of pictures of ideas
Thanks Bro! I subbed
Thanks for the sub
Very nice Paul and the candy cain is cool!
Thanks Ray. A little teaser before my new release.
@loosebootwoodworking nice, looking forward to seeing it.
Nice!
Thanks!
👍👍👍
Cool
Glad you like it!
If you will use the round bottle of tite bond glue you can use a French’s mustard cap on this bottle it won’t clog
Great suggestion, thanks.
So I'm not the only one who saves damn near every piece of scrap wood I find or create!?
Too many scraps find themselves back on the shelf. I should really purge those bins, and with my newly installed woodstove, I know just where to put them.
Love to have a work shed with a view like yours
It's nice to have all the windows for sure. The downside is... ...I lack storage due to not having enough wall space. Thanks though, it is a nice view of the mountains.
Nicely done Paul!!! Love the candid approach and jokes along the way 👍 Keep em coming 👌👌
Embrace the butterflies and just be yourself, right?!?!
