Very normal for ESSB with 320 Series, ESSB is one of the shortest runway that the A319 flies to/from

Never too late to join man, I know a gentleman at jetBlue who was an elementary school music teacher until the age of 47, felt unfulfilled and sick of his career and decided to bang out his flight training in a year and half, do his 2 years at the regionals, and now sits right-seat in the Airbus 320 in his mid 50s. You can do anything if you put your mind to it, good luck-32 is young here!!
@@nikos9711 Thanks Niko, such reports are always very encouraging. I currently fly the Aquila A211 and gosh, doing the PPL license is one of the best decisions I'ver ever made. Always been my biggest dream since I was little. Can't wait to proceed with the CPL.

Not much loud engine sound for a TOGA takeoff. Sounded more like a FLEX take off. I am a bit surprised.
It is a 319 - fadec limits the toga power to low levels. I think if I'm not mistaken it says 83-84% n1 on the ecam. look up an a321 toga takeoff, you will hear the absolute juicy loud sound!
@@hotshot4512 And when would the fadec do that? I believe that air density and temperature affects the levels of TOGA power correct? And what else?
@@RicciWork yeah usually, but for most planes there is a hard limit for toga. From what I've read for example, at a certain altitude the fadec will limit the LEAP 1A engine of the a320neo to about 84% n1 at toga. It's much higher limit on a321 because it's a bigger plane but a319 and 318 is a lot lower because it's a lighter plane
@@hotshot4512 Interesting. I recently saw a cockpit video of an A330 performing a FLEX 38 or 41 takeoff. The N1 read 103%! How can the engine srun at more than 100%?
@@RicciWork please send the video! It is very interesting. Flex under 40 is very very low. I'm not sure how it works on the a330 engines as I only know a bit about the a320 family. But pretty much N1 isn't power setting, but it's the percentage of the maximum safe speed of the engine. So it is running at 103% of it's max rated speed. Not sure how that even happens, but for example on the a320neo with LEAP 1A engines, 96% n1 is the maximum standard operating n1. Maybe the a330 takeoff was a special case
