I make videos about studying, bullet journaling, planning and life! I started emtudier as a studygram on Instagram on December 12, 2016 and now I guess I'm expanding to UA-cam? I'm currently a university student, as of 2018 :^)
2023 year in review 🍃🕊️
Inspired by @Richie_Films
Music: Porter Robinson - Wind Tempos
It's been said that this part of Porter Robinson’s "Wind Tempos" sounds like home. The simple, sweet piano melody emerging between two stretches of chaos. In a way that’s what 2023 was like: I graduated from university and returned to my childhood home during almost a year-long break before starting work. It wasn’t always so light and simple - the beginning of the year felt a lot more like the start of the song, trying to figure out who I was and what the heck I was supposed to even do with myself during a gap year where everything was suddenly different. But slowly, as I worked through that time, worked on myself, and worked on my relationships, something started to click. 2023 became a year of growing closer to my family, friends, childhood home, and more importantly, myself. It was the year I revived my dwindling creativity and learned to love where I grew up. Thank you 2023 for all your happy moments, learning moments, and present moments, you were good to me 🫶

📹 Dec 5 - 11 🚲 Back at it again with an irresponsible amount of fun & travel :^) Paris, France. It's the end of the semester, the last week of classes and there's an undercurrent of deep tiredness, but there's still so many good memories that happened amidst it all. Oh yeah and I went to the UK for a *cheeky* little weekend trip (as Brits are wont to say) with Kat for 3 days and you best believ...

📹 November 21 - 27 🌅 At some point Kat told me a round trip to Lisbon was 70€ and that's all it took to get me on board. And so for 3.5 days, Kat, Char, and I have adventures in Portugal :) Unfortunately I miscalculated how long it would take me to write a 5-6 pg research paper in French, so it was a struggle bus up till the bitter end. In English I'd budget out 4-6 hrs at most for the same typ...

More than 7 Euros for a matcha latte? Mon dieu !
Hey wt do uh study
Great blog! Thanks. My kid just went there for her NYU Paris sophomore fall semester. I was trying to get a sense of what she’s experiencing. Nice videography, storytelling, and editing!
Hi I have just applied for French university and they accepted me thank to god But the thing that is scaring me that I'm NOT THAT GOOD AT FRENCH A2 OR B1 Will it going to be hard for me to adapt with the courses and exams
I‘m going through the beginner bumps less than a month into my stay in Germany and this was so validating. I appreciated how honest you were that you’d wake up and cry but just decided to pursue the day nonetheless.
love this video and your persepctive on studying abroad! im studying abroad in Provence this next year and i find myself a little jealous of your videos of paris-- i loved paris when I visited but I'll be able to go on weekends and whatnot.. I'm sure you know this in hindsight but in this video you're being so hard on yourself for the day trip! Yes you made a mistake but these things happen all the time when traveling and it seems it far from ruined your trip as you keep repeating.. most important thing is just to accept it and move on and it looks like you all still had a lovely time!
not enough context given immediately in the first few seconds, not even more context fed to my brain and deciphering side of me which isnt good. mrbeast has that down, although u shouldnt have to scream the context its the most practical but lazy less creative approach to context feeding and hooking teh viewers brain.
I have watched two of your videos and you did an amazing job trying to capture the moments. Beautiful shots and how you combined it with music! Amazing! Would love to see more!!
Aw thank you!! It means a lot ☺️☺️

This turned out so good!!
Thanks Richie!!!
Is speaks French necessary to study there? my aboard program say that you only need to pass IELTS test😌
Depends on your program! I would go by what your abroad program says
I really enjoyed this vlog! Thank you❤
thank you for these realistic vlogs. They are so refreshing in a world of reels and unrealistic expectations.
Why does Emily on the left kinda keeps her distance, sitting kinda away? Kinda weird but u guyd r very cute
Would you recommend staying with a host family? I'm not sure how to go about finding one in Paris but I think it could be a cool experience.
Yes I definitely would recommend it! It’s such a great way to get immersed in the language and culture, and I’ve done it twice. Unfortunately I’m not too sure how to find a host family, I was lucky enough that my study abroad program set it up for me
@@emtudier thanks for replying!!
Hi
I like your vlogs❤❤❤❤❤
👌 Promo SM
What major are u studying?
Hi Emily! How did you find your host family in Paris?
Hi! I actually didn’t have to find them myself, my study abroad program (USC Paris) set me up with a host family.
@@emtudier I seeeee, thank you!
Emily this was beautiful!
Thanks Richie Rich :)))
tysm for this! i just started my studygram and this really helped, you seem very genuine and passionate about your craft :D

Woah omg have an incredible semester!!!
难怪我觉得很面善,越来是中国人!天啊🥰

Finally you posted bro I missed watching your videos 😭
Aww thanks for watching!!
so beautiful. This video is just incredible; so spontaneous and silly. love it. I've been dreaming to study in Paris, can I ask you in which accommodation did you stay? any recommendation? thanks so much xxx
The UK was such a dream 💭 I miss you!
French is hard, especially in the details (and that’s coming from someone who has a C1-level). So don’t worry about it.
It is.
This is beautiful
I have been watching your study abroad videos and they are amazing! Do you think you could do a video on how you learned the French language outside of the classroom? I am planning on studying abroad in Paris Spring 2024! These videos get me so excited!
I loved your vlogs! I'm going to study abroad in Bordeaux next month but could you tell me what debit card you used? I thought about using Revolut but since it has a cap ATM withdrawal of $200 and cap spending of $1000...idk how that'd work with paying rent or anything honestly. If you know any other students who used Revolut, please let me know how, because it was recommended to me for study abroad.
Aw thanks! I pretty much used my American credit card everywhere and it was fine, I never used a debit card. I’d check with your program + your local banks to see what the best options for you are. Have an amazing time in Bordeaux! I loved it when I visited
Loved meeting and traveling with you! Amsterdam was easily the highlight of my trip. 😁😁
Didn't know you saw the lightfest on the water, that was so cool, I caught it a few days after you!
This series is making me super excited to study abroad this fall!
1st to comment 🎉
0:57 bro what did he say??😭
So pretty ♥️
This is so cool Emtudier🔥Thank you so much for finding and using my song 'Lights of Tokyo' 😊🙏🏻 How long are you studying for?
Thanks for producing such a great track! I'm editing this footage months later, so I've actually finished my studies back in December 2022!
I’m gonna be taking classes at ICP for study abroad this upcoming fall and im superrr nervous! are the people and professors welcoming? Also i love how raw your videos are and how you reflect on your emotions and experiences that it makes me feel like I’m living the experience with you! I enjoy this study abroad series so much!
Omg I'm so excited for you!!! The people and professors were honestly really welcoming as soon as I told them I was a study abroad student. I was afraid people would be mean bc I was foreign but that was never the case, a lot of my classmates were interested in meeting a foreigner and were generally eager to help me when I asked. Professors were also really understanding, and they're accustomed to having exchange students and making modifications to the assignments for them. I'd say just try to choose classes in subjects you enjoy, and talk to anyone and everyone early on!
If you have more questions, you can shoot me an email or a dm on instagram!
also big hug from brazil!!!
this was such a comforting video to watch. learning french is definitely not a so easy task, and it really inspired me even more. hope you have some more great days out there! <3
Aw thank you!!!
Deine deutsche Aussprache ist wirklich sehr gut!! Schönes Video, schöne Bilder. Your German pronunciation is really very good!! Nice video, nice pictures.
Vielen dank! 😁
Loved this! You had some freaking incredible shots! Thanks for inviting me to tag along, definitely one of the highlights of my trip :)
Thanks!!! Glad you tagged along :))
