Online fashion reseller and lifestyle-related content in both America and Australia. Avid thrifter and fixer of preloved items. Keto/low carb: a lifestyle that helps me keep migraines manageable. I'm a fiction writer, fulltime reseller, mother of amazing young adult people, and WAS in super long-distance relationship for a very long time. My boyfriend and I got Australian approval for our Partner Visa so I could move overseas, Seattle to Sydney, and it’s finally happened!! Now I’m loving life in sunny Sydney and restarting my business. I love treasure hunting, particularly fashion, and keeping items out of the landfill. Join me as I learn new brands, what and where to source, and share my flips and fails here on the channel.

Come with me back to Seattle, Washington for a very special week of thrifting and family get togethers. Lots of PNW footage and shopping at the Goodwill, Goodwill Outlet (Bins), and Value Village. I have missed this!

Selling to Plato’s Closet as a Reseller in 2023! Tips for bigger buyouts.
If you are able to drive, theres a U Turn in Punchbowl Sydney that sells clothes + a section that sells by the weight. (When i went a frw years ago the pay by weight was cash ony)
shame on you for supporting antiSemitism and terrorism
Interesting video but I find the pace way too slow. I'd recommend chatting a bit faster, otherwise people can get bored and drift off before you enunciate the next word.
Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
Why did you go back? I now live in Italy for ever.😊 The white sleeveless jumper is fantastic!
I love those overalls!
Is your son with you in Australia? Great work.
No he’s not, he is a soldier in the US Army and will be living in Italy soon actually. I think I saw another comment from you that you’re in Italy as well?
Love the sage green dress!$1 items were great! Fun video!
Very nice picks😊
I live in Sydney and have to say the Red Cross shop is the most expensive op-shop here. If you can find a Noffs Shop, they are much cheaper :)
Thank you for posting exactly what I needed! Good luck on your move.
Glad it was helpful!
Your mistake is op shopping (a) in Sydney and (b) at Salvos and Vinnies. I also add that resellers are one of the reasons why op shops prices on better known brands are so high. Why should you make money over a charity?
A recommendation for a collab I have for you is Aussie thrifting youtuber Jo Dedes Aesthetic
I love watching her content!
Great video. I love the way you explain the difference between America and Australia with regards to the way op shops operate 😊
Thanks for watching!
Hello! I started following you about the time you moved to Australia. I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you. If you need a thrifting buddy in Sydney, let me know!!
You must be so happy to be back at the bins. On behalf of all Sydney-siders, I apologise for the slim pickings here.
It definitely felt like a treat! I do hope 2025 is when I find the balance here in Sydney, feeling like I am contributing to the cyclical fashion/homegoods sustainability, instead of just ogling price tags. Thanks for watching :)
Australian op shops are way too expensive
Agreed. I’ve passed on things I would have liked to own because the price points don’t encourage impulsive shopping - which I took for granted as to how secondhand shops operated since they sell used goods and also can’t predict/market ahead of time.
You need to thrift at Flemington Markets. You can get 3 items for $10
Thanks for the tip, I’ll look into that! Thats a fantastic price point!
That's expensive...Queensland not so extreme in prices....I'm up near Rockhampton and better prices!.....Michelle from Horse Creek Queensland Australia 😊
Good to know! I definitely want to travel more and visit op shops along the way, its my kind of fun. Sounds like Queensland needs to be added to my list!
You need to source which vinnies has reasonable stock and prices. They are mostly all overpriced. Go and find church opshops- only then will you get your bargains..if not save your money do a twice trip back to the US and bring stock back with you. The garbage in these op shops Vinnies, Salvos and the prices aren't worth your time.
I am definitely learning as I go that traveling further out and yes, even picking things up in the States to bring back, is how I will need to do it if I want even a supplement income here. It’s definitely different! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Lorna Jane is our most popular exercise label. It is expensive but very good quality when you buy full price. I am an Australian you tuber that thrifts too.❤ welcome to Australia
Thank you! I appreciate the welcome and the support. There has been so much to relearn, it’s been an adjustment from one country to another even in just the reselling space, and I am glad to call Australia home now.
Welcome to Oz!
Thank you!
May I ask which suburb you were in at the Salvos? Thank you!
I use to love going op shopping but not anymore at the prices there charging these days, they should be disgusted in themselves,I just buy brand new now and will not donate anything to them at all anymore,I give my stuff away for fee for someone who wants it
Target is closing down most of its stores atm. I think theyre just going to have Myer and Kmart as their brands.
Oh wow, I had no idea! I love Target but Kmart has most of the same items at least. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome back. Oh that dress with the cakes on it was so cute! Part time reselling is way less stressful , I would not like to be full time for sure. Zara is on my Nolo list mostly. Cute stuff but just doesn't move well for me. They need to get some real thrift stores there. Doesn't look like you could make a full time living even if you tried. Maybe getting lots through a freight forwarder. Even those 2 things you got are too pricey for my comfort zone.
So glad to see you back… I’ve been missing your videos. And thank you for taking us along on this shopping adventure.
Ibis will take your food right out of your hand. With that knife of a beak. They’re terrifying. They’re called bin chickens because they will eat anything out of a bin, and make a total mess. Which market were you at? I thought it was Glebe at first, but they don’t have that many food vendors. Great haul 😊 Especially since everything is so expensive in Australia.
Glebe is correct actually! It changes week to week and sometimes its filled with food and live music. I had an ibis steal a bite of salad from my lunch the other day and it definitely kind of terrifying, they have zero fear of people! Thanks for watching and commenting :)
resellers are disgusting. I'm glad you had to get a full time job rather than being a leech.
In Australia, we call it Op- Shopping not thrifting.
I’ve learned :) Thanks for watching!
Not necessary, I’m Australian in Australia and I call it thrifting….from Op shops…
@@lindamasters7860 it's always been known as op shopping
Loubs looked real to me. (I’ve got a bunch of them and they’re not that great quality to begin with | the insides and soles wear incredibly quickly). The texture of the metallic exterior matches a pair I have.
Thanks for commenting! Luxury brands can be tricky for me especially in a market setting. I super appreciate you sharing your knowledge!
Sportsgirl are having clearance that isn't selling there because it's ugly rn, lol.
Hahaha! Yeah, when they aren’t selling at even a reduced rate there is usually a reason 😂 The black / khaki combos they had a few months back were my faves, argyle works for me. Now I need warm weather work wear in that same pallet please.
i'm glad to see you again!
Thank you :) I plan to post more frequently again, am happy to be back!
Hi, I am a fairly new subscriber, in the last 12 months and from Australia, so was very concerned when I didn’t see videos from you for a while. As a hobby seller in country Victoria I was imagining your struggle with the reselling market here compared to the US. So pleased you haven’t given up completely and here’s hoping the happy medium will continue to bring you joy, xx Lyn
So good to hear from you again! You’ve experienced so many huge changes over the past year! I’m so sorry that you are unable to continue with reselling as your main career there, (& can certainly understand why!) but glad you feel less stressed by thrifting/reselling & hope you are enjoying your new corporate job. Looking forward to more videos/updates from you! Take care & safe travels-perhaps we’ll run into each other at the bins while you’re here! 😉
Those prices! I live in Perth and I think perhaps I’ve just forgotten how bad some stores can be because I avoid going to them. Do you have a car? Some of my favourite op shops are further out of the city. The best are the non-chain ones. Eg in Perth there’s a couple of charity and church stores that do monthly pop ups or intermittent sales ($5 fill a pillow case sale 😋). Admittedly it’s a small side hustle for me to and no where near to a full time job.
No car, but I do take public transport further out on occasion. A fill a bag sale sounds great!! Now that I can be more relaxed about it because I so have a steady paycheck coming in, I think I’ll be taking more adventures that can also include op shops along the way :) Thank you for watching and commenting ♥️
Welcome back! I’m not familiar with the term “ops store”. Could you please tell me what that is?
Another good one to look out for is Alannah Hill, the store is closed now and it becomes a collectable with many people still loving it.
The thing with Gorman is that they don't become 'uncool' like you said - the older prints actually worth more and the quality was better then too.
Review does well.
Also try your local tip shops (recycling/waste centres often have them), way cheaper than op shops and sometimes can get some great clothing there.
I have found that the op shops which are on church grounds, next to a church, are usually the cheapest, and they'll often have hidden gems. Small country towns also have some good small op shops.
Hi there, Sydneysider here! You’ve got some amazing UA-cam videos 😊. I was wondering if you have a preferred way to be contacted or if that would be ok? It’s to do with some luxury clothing I need to sell. Thanks again for all the helpful and super interesting videos 🌸🍀
Op shops
If you are doing this in Australia then you are OP SHOPPING.
Very true! I’ll need to remember to use both phrases now for keywords in two countries!
Outer suburbs Vinny’s and salvo’s have cheaper prices
I agree about the prices in our salvos and city op shops. There are some crazy high prices now on donated items. I find any real bargains rare now
have you found the Savers store out west in Sydney?
Avoid the branded op-shops such as Salvos, anglicare, vinnies. Try to find the small ones, and some churches have little op-shops attached, but theyre not open all the time. Honestly our op-shop prices are embarrassing.
Yes Newcastle areas great, went to Dungog got 4 curtains Home and garden for $8.00 worth the price, not used either. Garman is great. Got a cord skirt for $10 at Salvos awesome
Go to Parramatta Blacktown Penrith, Windsor less expensive
We are neighbors, it’s to expensive in our neighbourhood. X
