i haven't tried any of the michelin soles yet. i hate when soles wear out before the uppers, but it's mostly bc of old man skating - not a lot of ollies or flip tricks

I have owned four different Globe cruisers and I have zero complaints about them. I cant speak on Globe popsicle boards, but the quality of the cruisers I have owned has been excellent. Good bushings, bearings, wheels and deck out of the box. I usually go with other brands for popsicle boards, such as Heroin, Santa Cruz, Powell Peralta and Anti Hero. I'd highly recommend Globe as a cruiser or longboard if you cannot afford an Arbor or Loaded brand. You wont be disappointed. I don't feel Globe gets enough credit for their boards and shoes.

My favourite wheels so far! Dragons are nice too for real crusty surfaces, X-Formula 97A's are the best all-terrain wheels for me. They also have more grip in slippery indoor skateparks. Love their X-Formula 99A's as well for smooth skateparks but still absorb more impact than the Spitfire 99A's.

i got 3 sets of x97 56mm v6. they're wide with rounded edge like a radial, sidecut like a conical. first impression is that i quite like them but can't speak for the long term yet. they give a smooth and comfortable ride without being overly grippy or resistant to sliding/reverts. i got some x99 54mm v5 but haven't tried them yet. i've actually never owned a set of spitfires, f4 or otherwise

good call on how stiff boards don't absorb energy and can wear you out. i have an Almost Impact setup as my extra setup, it's very stiff and it's kinda weird, it feels a little "dead" but it does pop fine, hard to pinpoint why it feels different. i don't mind skating it at all but i just much prefer my plain old FA. i think FA is slightly on the steep side but i got used to it and like it

yes they are good boards. under the dwindle umbrella (almost, enjoi, darkstar, madness, blind) and pressed by dsm(china) who does all the aforementioned brands as well as creature/santa cruz and others. it doesn't look steep, but they do have other molds

i've never owned a set of spitfires, formula 4 or otherwise. i had friends that had spitfires over the years, and i've skated their boards. nothing against them, just never personally owned any. i will say the classic shape is too narrow for my liking until probably 56mm and bigger, i like wide wheels with a rounded edge so maybe radials would be more to my liking. bones x97 and x99 are nice, the stf feel decent but tend to chunk out like ojs. i like mini logo wheels. i have too much gear so i doubt i'll have the need for any new wheels any time soon, but i'll def consider them. i usually try to get the best gear i can at the lowest price possible, so i get what i get.

That skatepark has some Damn ROUGH ASPHALT. I recently got some Spitfire 58mm 99a and they are ONLY good in the the Skatepark, anywhere else they're Slow, Rough, Vibrate the Hell out of U, they Suck. I was disappointed. I have Ricta Coulds 55mm 92 or 93 a & they are AWESOME Anywhere, Skatepark or street. Also have 2 sets of SuperJuice 55mm 78a and they are Fuc**** fast, smooth and are Great anywhere, Street or Skatepark...Also Slimeballz 60mm 97a, ONLY good in skatepark, anywhere else they SUCK, slow, Rough, Vibrate the hell out of U...

spitfire wheels have a good history and riders, good graphics, but.... they flatspot more easy than others like bones. doesnt really matter though if your pro and can change wheels everyother month. they also turn yellow or brown faster than bones. im riding spitfires right now because of the classic 60mm " big wheels are cool right now, not smaller than 60s, and because Tfunk, rips, and rides big wheels. big wheels make all the difference. most people youll see still riding small wheels are kooks, haha, just joke.
