    What about small scratches in the corner of a door window pane? I made a mistake on a job with a sander... they are no where near that deep or long. I've heard for little bunches like that I can use toothpaste and buffer pad for a dremel.. any feedback?

    GREAT WORK ❤ How can I buff out angle grinder shrapnels from my windows?

    • @GlassGenius
      @GlassGenius 3 місяці тому

      It's not possibl3 to buff them out. That is very deep damage. If left in the glass it will rust and cause discolouration around the pit mark. I am.not experienced enough to grind damage that deep out. But I have been able to chip out the metal fragments and then spray the glass with rust treatment. And in some situations thr client is happy with that. But you need to get the metal out fast. As it rusts fast

    Great video! I am in Wellington New Zealand and I am a glass nerd! I love restoring glass surfaces. I’d do it for free it’s just a bonus I can get paid. I am keen to network with other people world wide who love glass restoration as well

    I hate these "Ads". They never answer questions in the comments and people viewing these videos are the ones that are seeking specific information and techniques. Also, no pics of the glass in actual sunlight. Who knows how it really turned out?? DISLIKE

      Are you kidding? They took the time to add comments explaining what they are doing to a 30 minute long video and all you can do is moan. Send them a bloody email or give them a call! DISLIKE to your comment.

      It says Lee has 20,000 hours of experience. And that's obvious watching him work. They didn't have to make this video. Think back to pre internet and what the guys who learned thus specialist skill set went through. We are spoiled getting to see this video. It's not fair to be so critical when they have gone out of their way to post this video which is packed full of helpful information. But I do understand your frustration.

      I looked at the flex site and think I found what model is being used. It appears to be model L 1503 VR. Maybe they meant setting 6 and not 6,000 rpm?

    I've got a Rover 75 with scratched side windows. Fail the fingernail test. Tempted to try these techniques on the front and side windows as finding unscathed replacements is pretty much impossible. Safe to use on car glass?

    • @evrensokmener6768
      @evrensokmener6768 2 роки тому

      Side windows are safe to do as the glass is tempered. A windscreen is made of softer glass and has a concave so distortion is possible.
