RIP El Toro... He was my favorite pitcher in the 80's
The organ takes me back to the days at Jarry Park...
And the Montreal area deserves another MLB team
Rest in peace JJ...Always my favorite Phil
excellent football player.
McGaffigan, Jorgensen, Singleton, Ohka and Armas should not be on that list. M'en, who made this list?
Uplifting music?
The hits just keep on coming...
Unfortunately, Yes.
Actually, one year he had made the Cardinals out of spring training but got hurt and never got to play that season.

Johnny hockey was killed by not only a car but by a REMORSELESS DRUNK DRIVER. As someone who lost their cousin to a drunk driver I AM SO ENRAGED “ So I’ll be here until Thursday?” B*TCH YOU BET YOULL BE THERE LONGER THAN THURSDAY! I’m sorry I’m just mad. The drunk guy who killed my cousin was seriously injured but survived and was never charged
My brother son was killed by a drunk driver in the same area. I get it.
@@sportsmemories481 it’s always the drunkatds who survive……
madhouse on madison
Always like the atmosphere in those old buildings when regular fans could afford to go to a game.
What did he die of
That was never publicly disclosed.
It's Norm Siebern, not Siebren.
RIP MR WES UNSELD YOU WERE MAGICAL AT WASHINGTON BULLETS!!!!
The guy that I wanted to be in 1965 at the age of fifteen, RIP sir, a bunch of us loved you.
Marvin Spoke at one of my football banquets. My dad introduced him as Gene Upshaw, his brother. My dad was so embarrassed, but Marvin found it hilarious. Great guy!
Brad Dusek played for the Washington Redskins
R.I.P.
Former Cub, Frank Castillo, was only 44 years old, drowned in Bartlett Lake, AZ July 28, 2013 (pitch a near no-hitter for the Cubs, in 1995)
Remember hearing of that. Way too young.
I remember Robert Reid of the Houston Rockets giving Larry Bird fits in the NBA championship. He was a very solid pro.
Aaron judge needs to be added
Agreed now
May each one rest in peace, and may each of their family and friends be healed and comforted.

They weren’t payed anything
Paul 's blocking always impressed me .Sure he was a big guy , but desire is the factor .Kinda like Jim Taylor and his playing. RIP. The owners can bet and that's cool ,like paul and alex were the only ones .ole piss pete and the other 's are shills . Alex Karras belongs in the HOF . Wouldn't kiss , politics.
May everyone in this video rest in peace, and may everyone's family and friends be healed and comforted.
I didn't know Robert Reid recently passed. I remember watching him play for the Rockets back in the 80s when I lived in Houston. I once met him at an ice cream place, and he gave me his autograph. He was a cool guy. May he and everyone in this video rest in peace, and may everyone's family and friends be healed and comforted.
FUCK. O.J. LOOK INTO MARCUS ALLEN AND O.J. SON BE SUPRISED WHAT U FIND MAY HE NEVER EVER REST
The world may have lost O.J. Simpson, but the hell football team gained a star running back!!!!!
Been a Dallas Cowboys fan since 1960, and will be til the last days of my life, even though I get pissed at them, there still my Cowboys. THE SARGE
Jim McAndrew won some important games for the 1969 NY Mets. Bill Plummer served as an effective backup catcher for Johnny Bench for many seasons for the Cincinnati Reds. Andy Russell was an excellent linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He went through the lean years first, then enjoyed great success when the Steelers became good enough to win Super Bowls. I remember several others on that list; as I age, more and more of my youth pass on.
The tick tock of the clock stops for all of us, but somehow our memories of players in their youth, fading away; holds more significance
I remember some of these players. Mike Mercer will go down in history as kicking the first field goal in a Super Bowl he kicked it at the end of the first half while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs in the first Super Bowl it was the only field goal in that game.
I don't remember most of these players but they all had good careers.
yeah some of them you have to be a fan of the particular team to remember them
Rest in Peace.
😅😅¹😅
Enjoy the information you supply, but i miss the old format.
The other format was easier for me, but I cannot deny that the voice videos show about 7-10k plays while the other format showed 5-8 hundred.
Ryan Minor is the one that shocked me. So young and gone way too soon.
Yes he was way too young. Such promise as a rookie.
Terrible 2023 to lose two of my childhood heroes; first Brooks Robinson, then from the Washington Senators - Frank 'Hondo' Howard.
Brooks was the best. I sat with him at an autograph session and across from us was Kevi. Seitzer. Seitzer watched how Robinson interacted with the fans, and he asked Brooks how are you so nice to each and every fan. He said well Kevin this might be the only time they meet me and I want them to see the best of me. That sums up Brooks, he was the best always.
Rip 🪦 to all these guys
@5:00 - When you encounter French-Canadian names in your tributes, please accord them the respect they deserve by finding out how to properly pronounce their names. Thanks.
The program that I use does the pronounced names. I have to figure out that Guy needs to be Ghee
Why does Gerry James have a different # on his jersey than his helmet. Is that a CFL thing?
Probably grab the wrong helmet for the photo shoot
A.I. Narrator? Hope not.
I would not know how to use AI for that.
Golden Richards was definitely 1 of my faves. He was on the receiving end of a TD pass from RB Robert Newhouse that was very iconic in SB XII vs. the Denver Bungholes (Broncos). His TD reception is the EPITOME of what the SB truly represents. Regardless of TV ratings; SB XII IS THE BEST FUCKIN' SB EVER!!!!! In fact; that's what catapulted the Dallas Cowboys 2 b declared as "America's Tesm" @ that time. The past 28 yrs since SB XXX.(the Cowboys' last SB CHAMPIONSHIP).may leave lots 2 b desired but they still have relevancy w/in the sports world.
He had a Hollywood name.
@@sportsmemories481 Maybe so but that's irrelevant here.
RIP to Golden Richards. It seems like he usually made at least 1 memorable catch during those years of 1977 and 78. I do recall the "flea flicker" he caught vs the Broncos in SB XII.
Agreed
What I meant that he had a hollywood name right out of casting and the looks to carry it out. @@billybandyk0720

Had no idea so many former Braves had passed away in just the span of a few years!
When I first researched these videos I was shocked as well
9:08. Don Denkinger will always be remembered for blowing the call in Game 6 of the 1985 World Series, when he called the Royals Jorge Orta safe when he was really out at first. Kansas City would go on to win Game 7, and win the 1985 World Series.
Unfortunately you are correct. However he was a really good ump. Kind of like Buckner. He let that ball go through his legs and that is what he is remembered for rather than his 2715 hits. The glaring lights of the World Series
I'm surprised they took the time to remember the ladies who played pro baseball.
I have always included them on my vids
😢Thanx for posting this, as a lifelong and diehard Braves fan, I really appreciate this, really informative because I didn't know some of them had passed
Appreciate the viewing, glad you enjoyed it
