Always, buy a used vehicle and drive it cross country to find its faults. Preferably, it breaks on some back road, 3 a.m. middle of nowhere...then you get to rest on a ripped seat, in a car that doesn't lock and is about out of gas.

We just bought a 1989 Ford E350 7.3 idi diesel 27 foot motorhome for this exact function. We would like to do a three month vacation, but take our car for running around, and since sleeping an d shower accommodation would cost in excess of $10,000, we will have accommodation and also hope to achieve 16-17mpg for the 8,000 mile journey.

In 2018 I bought a 1983 gmc corvair 30 ft motorhome.. ot has a 464 engine. It started & rub good. . I drivebit about 100 miles to get home. It ran & rode good. The fas gauge didn't workshop So i stopped often fir gas. . I drive it around town fir a month. The old girl worked great.

In all fairness if you exclude noise it just makes things run smoother and lower the amount of emissions your vehicle needs to produce. With that being said you can pass emissions on e85 with a clean tune Catless

To answer some questions: I think that's a 65-68 Ford 4500. Very good model of tractor. They came blue with yellow sheet metal when new, probably got an auction overhaul at some point in its life. This one has the aptly named SOS transmission (select-o-speed, but I call them select-o-shitters). If it gives you any problems at all, rip the damn thing out and swap in a 8 speed gear transmission out of a 4000. It'll bolt right in and the standard ford transmissions are excellent. She's a hair rough but I bet she can clean up really nice.

A carbureted big block is a hell of alot more likely to run after sitting than a tbi
