Hey everyone, this was my first time actually being able to play a game before release for content creation so it's quite a milestone for me. Jul, 7, 23: Update 1.2 came out and I tested it and while it felt a little bit better I still got heavy framerate drops, requested patch notes from the developer. Sep, 23, 23: Update 1.3 came out and it very significantly improved performance. The game still laggs but at a much more later stage in the game. There are also some UI bugs that haven't been corrected which will result in you having to restart the game.

I disagree on the lack of voice acting being a detriment. In which places would voice acting be optimal? If you would put an actor for a narrator or for the text that the player protagonist is not supposed to know but is instead explained to them, I don't think that would be the best use of voiced lines. If you're going to put a voice actor(s) for the player protagonist you will need quite a range of voices doing lines for every possible outcome a player could make. This is not impossible but given that this is an indie game they don't have the budget for it. If you're going to put actors for the various characters, the whole point is that they are essentially tools for your ascension. And also the text is mainly on the third person (or at least from the perspective of the player) when referring to the different characters in the game. Sure there are some lines of dialogue from them but not enough to justify voice acting from a mainly 3rd person pov text. In my opinion it would just be a distraction and may lead to over stimulation if its just added on. The game designer even said that the game was made in a way to allow the imagination of the players to play a large role and it shows.

Immortals Fenyx Rising Gold Edition is for 1.8€ in CZ region now lol :D It should be something like 579Kč but they messed up in store and put it for 57.9 so 98% discount. So it is funny Gold edition is waay less expensive than basic game in their shop :DD

Okami? Really? I've tried so many times to get into that game but just can't - its BORING and kinda stupid. I bought it several times and really tried but I just don't get it. It's so damned boring I can't get past the first 30 minutes of it no matter how many times I try.

I picked up yoku's island express. Man what a fun game, I can barely put it down. At times you feel stuck but just play around and you will find your way.

Even if A night in the woods is not your type of game. Jacksepticeye played through that game a while back before you make a decision I suggest you watch his video even if it's just the first episode and it will give you a really good idea on how that game plays it is so wonderful to watch he does a great job with it and the game itself is so adorable and well written and paced

I think what really sold me on Huntdown was the image of one of the characters whose name was Anna Conda....Yep I'm in

I really like the boss design in this game. It’s a great balance of deciding an overall strategy and moment-to-moment reaction. I’d say the Squid bosses were my least favorite, though

There's also a button to skip Squid's voice lines. On PC it's "Q". Yup, puzzles are for calming down. The song playing during them is called "Chill Zone" for a reason. Squid has precisely 1367 voice lines. In one of the devlogs Jonas tried to optimize the game so any potato PC can run it. That's why there's a very simplistic color scheme. There's also a secret ending. And spring 38 urges you to try to achieve it. No spoilers though.
