I hate teachers, specially principals. They talk a lot of shit, act like our children would be loosers without them. I hate them. And they act how they help children. But in reality children study a lot of nonsence, and they are too strict... i hate them period.

I can only learn for myself. School was in a way a waste of time for me. But without school I wouldn't have known what there is to learn at all. There is so much I wouldn't have known it's worth going into. And some things are good that you're forced to learn. Learning intensely about fascism methods and propaganda make the difference now for me abd those who see through what 50 Magas don't see through. I would have never taught myself about that voluntarily.

Musk’s criticism of the education system is dumb. SpaceX engineers were able to create SpaceX rockets, thanks to the knowledge given to them by the same educational system that Elon Musk criticises. Without the educational system, SpaceX rockets wouldn’t exist

I suggest Musk focus on running X instead of running it into the ground. Being a billionaire doesn't make one an expert on everything and that includes education.

College are meant to find like minded individuals in the course you are pursuing. If you can collab and make something out of it great. Otherwise it will feel useless.

The most annoying thing about the education system is that they guilt trip you whenever you don’t get to the question to “the why” makes absolutely no sense. Also the courses never get to the real point of what you were actually learning and you’re just sitting there wondering what to do going through hoops

Education system is based on cramming big fat books in schools and colleges for securing 1st division marks in exams.To make matters worse educational institutions keeps on raising their tuition fees which becomes difficult for middle class and poor families 2 afford. If schools and colleges make it compulsory to have an additional year of corporate training period for students after giving their final year exams then the youth would be skilled.

So stupid... This video is proof that people need education, because they're clearly not thinking. Just because a few people dropped school and happened to become successful after that, we should assume that the everyone should drop school? Are you outside of your mind??? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Of course schools are FAR from perfect. They are not for everyone too. But what are you solving by dropping from it? Dropping is also not for everyone. Not every self thought person is successful. Drop the fantasy. I'm not saying don't study by yourself. Do just that! But you don't have to drop from school for that. School doesn't prevent you from studying things by yourself.

This is so very true. I was actually denied from learning things before "my time" because they either didn't want to or couldn't teach it. When I entered college at first, I was excited, but it was the same as high school. Not only that, but instructors also didn't even teach anything. The MIT OpenCourseware videos are actually pretty good because they actually explain things. It is still done in the traditional "backwards" approach, but at least they talk about it. Being denied access to learning is one of the worst things that can ever happen to a person - especially a child. If the adult can't keep up then move out of the way. Working in a downstream research lab 1 week out of high school was one of the best educations I ever received. Education is not about quantity, it is not about maintaining structure in the class like a checkout line, it is about providing opportunities for people to learn and grow. Stop holding them back.

I think he's understating the point. Progress in general is not inevitable. People do not always behave rationally or even in their own best interests. There is no guarantee that we will not find some way to stagnate or self-destruct due to arrogance, hubris, and/or "the madness of crowds."

only Computer & business are two fields where anybody can drop out of college and become richest people in World. rest all professions need a proper graduation and / or post graduation from University. I would suggest way of teaching children where natural curosity of humans comes out during teaching or learning.
