Also tried night hotel , good hotel great staff, breakfast ,location, TV films etc. but my room needed a larger fridge for drinks ,purchased from close by Terminal one so I tried close by Jasmine hotel on next visit to Bangkok, large fridge /microwave & did a bit of cooking was more like an apartment/hotel which was good for me as one cannot get enough of Thai food will take 5 years to explore Thai cuisine I think.

Sounds like a good place. There are pros and cons to all places. It is ultimately what you feel is the best. the way the world is going, the major western countries have so much corruption and so much fraud that they will become very bad to live in in the next 10 years as the standard of living decreases. As BRICS starts to challenge the US counterfeiting machine it will force the western countries in to a state of chaos and disrepair. The "poorer" countries are used to living "poor" and people seem more laid back and just wanting to live a peaceful life rather than maximizing profits and social status. I want to get out of US and find a more laid back place. I will add Indonesia to my list of possibilities.
