Certainly in London there are a lot of pretend hipster and business types of people who are very shallow and fake. They pretend to smile and be polite but it’s obvious that they are often snobs and biased . I find that very patronising and artificial. But London is full of assholes like many other big cities. Not everyone but a large percentage are people you would prefer not to meet. It’s artificial and skin deep only. I think the word is pretentious and also it’s full of puritanical woke idiots who think they are socially and morally superior and are actually afraid of normal folk. It’s not a question of money but a self created image of superiority. They mostly are not actually from London and would get laughed at in their home towns.

That same ribeye is about 12 dollars where I live in the eastern US. Not including sales tax. From everything I see here Russia is marginally cheaper than where I live, but again it's very region specific in the US. You could probably see that ribeye cost for the same weight, range between 10 to 15 dollars. (assuming it's the same grade of beef)
