Videos for Yalobusha Farms, a native-species pollinator meadow and nursery for Cope's Gray Tree Frog and several other species of amphibians. The meadow and mosquito-fish ponds are one small suburban residential lot that was ordinary lawn before 2018.

The transition has been profound with many species coming to feed and reproduce. There are no hummingbird feeders, but there are always hummingbirds in the summer. Owls, hawks, goldfinches, etc.

The front and back yards have their own clouds of butterflies in the late summer months, as well as many species of bees, wasps, dragonflies, damselflies.

The two ponds are about 500 gallons each and about 3 to 4 feet deep at center. In the late spring and early summer, there is a chorus of frogs.

Yalobusha Farms is located inside the perimeter in metro Atlanta.

It is part of a patchwork of habitats that can be made denser by replacing lawns with native plants chosen for pollinator importance.
