counter clockwise is correct, he was turning the engine backwards. He also didn't tension the belt correctly. That's what the spring does. You could hear the belt was too tight when he started it up.

What box and sub do you have under the seat? I'm getting an acty in the next few months and am wanting to hook up a system.
So I am running a Digital Design Subwoofer. The size is a 6.5 because that's about the biggest I could go for the air space. Box is a custom build box by a local shop.
