What people dont talk about is how good map and interiours are in arma reforger. Could be used for some RPG and specifically for me triggers memories on 2000s. (Comunist furniture etc, strongly inspired by czechoslovakia in 80s and early 90s. Looks like villages from Morava) Devs made lots of progress in game from time it was relased and many many bugs that were there are not in game anymore.

I'm playing CoP rn and I'm just gonna say, being an under cover agent is boring as hell. I miss the days where I waited 25 minutes for my freedom brothers to drag their asses to the barrier, because duty took control over it for the 75th time already. Honorable mention: The radios in CS were masterpieces, you cannot deny that

There is not one original idea in this game so far or this IP.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R is above all a coherent universe with its own rules and behavior. And the game is a bout choices, all the time : whether they are good or bad, you will have to bear the consequences. Which makes it a unique experience. Especially when you consider, the sound (music and various sounbds) which brings a very special mood in the game. This game was ahead of its time when it came out. Just considering the amazing number of mods (whatever they are, just cosmetic, or completely changing the story line), is an answer in itself.

Stalker games are too old. Ugly, clumsy. Just unplayable. Don't waste time and money.

playtests have been underway these past few weeks, pre-order dates have been leaked by files in Destiny 2, as well as a UESC Runner mask coming to Destiny 2, plus, Sony is relying on this game to be a massive hit - it being cancelled would spell the end for Bungie. They are ramping up for a gameplay reveal and 2025 release

You cant Download shit on xbox im downloading at only 1 MBit because the game only lets me use this and not a higher rate . I wont wait 7 hours just for a Modded Server that is then already full when all Downloads are finnished. this game sucks ass on console

I play Stalker Call of Chernobyl and EFP. In both games im a merc. In EFP Im a sniper and do the odd jobs but stay near the base in dead city. In CoC im a scout and do more jobs and then after coming back from missions I do my rounds around Dead City as its more of a hotspot for enemies than in EFP. But the best moments that i've had in the game is when im not doing anything. Honestly. Just walking around and taking in the environment and atmosphere. Sitting in the base with my merc pals and playing my guitar or taking lookout on the building across from the base trying to keep warm in the rainy weather by the fire barrel waiting for the next enemy to show up.

Misery was hard but I feel like Last Day was harder

Overall great video, no idea if you fixed it by now but maybe get some mic with more room for sound? your voice is very bassy and after reducing bass on my equilizer it was a lot more clear, tested multiple setup and heard same issue. either get new mic best not a headset one but like blue yeti etc or reduce the bass and place the mic further away. except all these issues amazing find and great video.

I only started playing CoP very recently and I'm still confused on what should I do, where I should go and where I can get the good shit. I only started playing the 3 STALKER games about 2 weeks ago and I had less issues with finding loot and guns and finding my way around in SoC and CS than CoP

They're very different games from STALKER on the surface, but at least for me, Borderlands 1 & 2 and a lot of The Division franchise had a similar level of immersion. A big part of it may be the non-linear nature of the game's design. Yes, there are specific things that need to be completed in more-or-less a certain order. But the boatload of side-mission content included not only reveals so many of the game world's nooks and crannies, but also breaks up the linear elements which I think amplifies interactivity. This is as opposed to something like the strictly linear Halo, CoD/MoH campaigns, etc. IMHO, a lot of what makes the STALKER world feel 'alive' is that you experience it as you choose while, at the same time, the world itself is alive with all sorts of activity independent of your actions.

I'm already a bit disappointed in Stalker 2. I've noticed several questionable design decisions in the new gameplay footage. A shining example: In developer's deep dive (swamp area) we see how a red barrel is calmly sitting in the middle of fire anomaly field (like really?). Then the player is attacked by a psy-dog, shoots the barrel and it explodes. Such barrel filled with gasoline in THE ZONE where everyone earns their bread by looting anything valuable? Fuel is valuable. If I'm not mistaken, original games only had big red pressurized propane canisters in industrial areas. Secondly, all of the old rusty ruins, fire extinguishers, warning labels etc now have Ukrainian text on them in spite of Chernobyl's soviet past. It's not a problem in and of itself, I'm local and I know the language, but that's a trend of rewriting history and violent decommunization in action due to present events. I don't want games to go political. It's the same reason my home town got renamed from a proud hero's name to a bird, half of the streets within got renamed as well. I'm afraid this trend might reap a good chunk of Stalker's universe, depending on what will be deemed "russian" (aka bad) and how far it goes. Will we meet Sidorovich? Chiki Briki jokes? No slav squats or slang? I'm honestly disturbed this will be a "distilled" Stalker: Dignity Edition, not the one I cherish. If that happens - this will really hurt, as if my childhood is being gradually erased and replaced. Although I doubt US audience will notice much difference, so it's only relevant in eastern Europe where Russian is international language and we all share a common memory of "The wild 90's".

Every time I restart Clear Sky, the quest where you have to find & kill the hostage commander’s military soldiers in cordon bugs out. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Clear sky is somehow both the best and worst STALKER game. The technical and pacing issues kill it but the story is awesome and the ending is basically perfect

A-Life, its atmosphere, and the big green light from the devs for modders to have their way with it. What I get most excited for is the potential in the A-Life system. It's limitless, already so good that you could forgo any plot and just be a zoner like me. Look at Anomaly or GAMMA, they clearly saw that potential. It's the age-old "be who you want to be" ideal that games like the Elder Scrolls and No Man's Sky games aim for. Hunter, hitman, trader, explorer, artifact spelunker, guide... You can genuinely be all those different things in Stalker and it still feels complete.

The hunting shotgun in Clear Sky had this thing where it fucking lazerbeamed everyone with a headshot at insane range even with buckshot. My first playthrough, i went through 90% of the game using ONLY the hunting shotgun because, as i maxed it out, i honestly couldn't find a better weapon that was more fun to play with. The only weapon that had better accuracy and damage simultaneously was SVD, and SVD not only has scarce and expensive ammo but also can't rock mutants. I believe that until Limansk the TOZ Hunting Shotgun is easily the best pick for anything. It's a god damn scopeless sniper rifle that's a shotgun that not only rocks mutants hard but also disposes of everyone with headshots from any range.

I’ve never played a stalker and I’m so excited to try stalker 2 when it comes, I’m torn whether to try the older ones or wait for the new one and have my mind blown in the deep end

I can’t be the first to mention the scientists formed the c-consciousness to try and modify the noosphere to reduce humanities aggression but goofed up and created the zone.

The more that comes out about this game and the people working on it... the more I worry that it will actually get cancelled.

Great video. I would argue that the element that makes it so good is the lack of direction/handholding. Every person plays their own way, experiences the game differently, and you feel small in contrast to the brutal yet beautiful and wondrous zone. It is captivating in every regard.
