      Hello, Unfortunately I won’t have time to make a video, my irl life is quite busy so I can’t really post on a regular basis since this channel is a hobby of mine. You are more than welcome to ask me any question though, I will try to answer them as soon as I can and to the better of my abilities. Also, you cannot replicate that full window design in a basement using standard glitches since you need a lower floor to float some items from.

    • @mizuhashitsunoka
      @mizuhashitsunoka 5 місяців тому

      I see. No worries. Then a few questions I had : 1. What exactly causes the glassy effect to show up? My build currently is missing the chandelier. I did put up the assorted candles and hoped I would see some of it but it it doesn't look like anything happened yet 2. How much space should I have between the white screen and the lightings? Should I try to glitch them into the white screen or put them behind it? 3. How exactly the wardrobes are glitched with the white screen? Because in your build it looked like you used fool's threshold instead of the white screen 4. Which dye did you use for the white screen?

    • @seimiyak.3548
      @seimiyak.3548 5 місяців тому

      Hello, sorry for the late reply! 1- It depends on what you mean by glow, it could be my shader as well as the angle of the shot or even the fish tank (I think I used one here ? I don’t remember). If not any of that, it’s just the placement of the candles, it has to be relatively close to the white screen to show a nice light. 2-Like I said in my previous answer, I put them as close as possible (without the candle actually showing). 3- The fool’s threshold is used to provide natural light. The wardrobes are simply placed on the ground in a way that only the metallic part shows. I don’t know how to explain it other way, only the white screen is floated from the basement and the wardrobes placed through it afterwards. 4- I believe it was cerulean blue, but I am not 100% sure… Hope this helps! Once again, sorry for the late answer !

    • @mizuhashitsunoka
      @mizuhashitsunoka 5 місяців тому

      @seimiyak.3548 hey no worries, I am really grateful for the responses! Sorry to trouble you again but I still have a few questions after your explanations. 1. By glassy effect I meant your windows look like they are naturally glass like and seem to have light coming in from behind. I will try to get a fool's threshold and try to see if it fixed the problem. I hope you can bear with me as I am really desperate to replicate this masterpiece ^^ 2. Okay so at least I had the positions for the items somewhat right. I will try again. 3. Thanks for clarifying. Fool's threshold was not mentioned in the final item list at the end image so I didn't put it in my build yet. Will try that soon. 4. Thanks for confirming the colour. I will experiment around the nearby shades as well! Once again I am really glad that you are replying to the queries at all! Please bear with me a bit longer as I am in just so much awe of your work that I really want to replicate it!

      @@mizuhashitsunoka It’s no trouble, sorry if I seemed like it was in my answer ^^’ That effect is made using lights and putting them behind the white screen (you can use candles for a warm effect or the crystals for a cold one, it depends on your preferences really). You just have to make sure it doesn’t show. I put fool’s threshold to have natural light and block the camera (so it doesn’t show what’s behind the window) but you can also use any window that has the same effect. I didn’t seem to have used a fish tank, but that item makes the whole thing look like a real window without having to use lights, I am however not super fond of it always because it has a blue-ish effect. But it’s easy to use and saves items if you don’t mind the cold hue. Hope this helps !

    I never really thought about this... but it makes sense. Personally, I'm not big on housing. I learned the tricks, I know how to use the glitching and floating to create certain effects, but I'm not someone who tries to recreate a certain decor. I'm more of a "build once and leave it" type of person. I watch housing channels when I want to build something (at the moment, I want to create a thavnarian/oasis inspired apartment... trouble is: this is for an alt character who has VERY limited funds and the crafters are barely lvl50) and pick some inspiration from them. In general, I dont have the patience ^^° ... What was that? Your students? Tell me more ^.^ (if its about Housing that is ^^°)

      I understand and respect that, I'm not really one to follow housing trends either, but I know a lot of people do and they often forget that these designs are actually made by people, who took a lot of their time to create something for free. I think in general, be it about housing or anything free, people tend to have less respect BECAUSE it is free (though I know not everybody is like this, I did notice it a few times). Anyways ! If you are on an NA server, do feel free to message me on discord for help ! Far less item count involved for a very blue window. And I think using alpine walls with the amaurot wallpaper is a good enough substitute for being unable to glitch the walls lower, as the lower section is made of stone which isn't too incongruous with all the marble. I've got a mansion and I've combined elements of Eastern and Amaurot to create a throne room on the 2nd floor foyer surrounded by 10 aquariums as the centerpiece, but it was such a nightmare for me to float everything up from the ground floor that I'm not sure I can manage to redecorate fully into the art deco style and go full Amaurot given the walls alone requires so many layers floated up from the basement.

    I love your discussion on this topic, and I agree that the designs of a contractor despite the tools being owned by SE are our own intellectual property and the amount of hours we spend on them shouldn't be boycotted by a 3rd party program or the employer uploading our property without express consent from the aforementioned contractor. I've personally had cases when I have been working on a build wherein the employer has given access to a secondary designer not contracted for the position whom has then decided to "fix" what I was working on prior to its completion, granted in that case it was something I wasn't 100% on but still the fact remains that someone else was for all intensive purposes tampering with my design. Sorry I digressed there, back on topic the implications of Make place and other 3rd party programs such as BTHD ( burn the house down ) have although opened up the doors for those not artistically minded to pursue housing in greater detail and ease, hindered all traditional designers and lowered our payments for the time we spend creating. I have recently downloaded Make Place purely as a reference for pre building which is great for testing ideas and getting rough plans for employers down without adding to the costs of trial and error before getting the green light on prospective designs but it has MAJOR flaws, it doesn't give the minimum entry point, the lighting is non existent and there is no option for "FC Homes" so unless your aware of these points anything made on it will ultimately fail if a person was to use it. for traditional designers the first 2 points make it a null use option but still had to give my 2 cents on the program itself.

      Damn that's really sh*tty from the commissionner. I would have leave right then, destroy all my work, give back the gils and ruuuuuuun xD I make it a point in my terms of commissions that I won't accept people messing with what I do before it is completed. As for those housing TPP, I am not against those at all, though I don't encourage their use. My position, at that goes for any third party program that is not related to cheating in raids, is "let people be, if it messes with the game then SE will take care of it". I don't see the point in witch hunts and shaming for something that people use because they simply want to make their life easier. And even experienced designers use some TPP, I know 1-2. Most of them explain that they don't want to spend their whole life in the game, floating things.

      @@seimiyak.3548 yeah i was tempted too if they had payed me anything at that time, as i dont count myself as a top end designer i simply charge a max of half the "design budget" or 10% if the budget was high and the build itself barely scratched it..the latter being the case in the build mentioned. after contacting the main contractor and stating all i want is a refund on the personal gil i used + 10% of the budget ( 10M in total ) he payed me the 5 i had spent + 25M for the muck around. on the TPP note same here i know a few people who use them for that exact reason, very time poor and dont want to spend days lofting when they can do it the otherway, I wholehearted agree tho if it doesn't mess with the actual game then each to their own, if it does SE will lock it down like they attempted with Void building, a lost art at this point.
