I find it interesting that when furnace is given his part in the song, his part sounds slightly off from the rest of the song, as if it were more desperate. Furnace may have knew that the bomb was on the island, he just didnt know when it would go off. It also almost sounds like hes trying to warn tails, but he probably wouldnt do that, as it goes against his code.
