I hate they took the tree, it was nice to have it as a backdrop. Shame they didn’t even ask for permission, or at at least an opinion. Merida is so hot, that every little spot with shade is basically a blessing.😔

I have really enjoyed your videos hoping you will continue to make more at the very least curious to see your new home once you are fully moved in! I was really surprised and sad when the city cut down your beautiful tree... I was wondering do you think it might have been motivated by anti-American or anti-Homosexual sentiment? I suppose it's always best to assume the best in these types of situations

Congratulations! It’s a big accomplishment. My house was also very dirty when I moved in. If anyone has a big shopvac you can use that’s the best way to be rid of all the concrete dust. It does kind of dull the joy to have to clean, but it also gives you a chance to look at everything up close. Enjoy that gorgeous rooftop deck!

Congrats, your home is beautiful, just needs those little finishing touches. We moved into our remodeled home the same way , we had to force the contractor's hand by moving in before it was finished. I’m only watching but I found myself getting frustrated with how bad most of the finishes. That light switch mess in the master bedroom is just something. I hope you guys get a discount or something.

I love the windows so much! You must be getting so excited to see it coming together. My best day was the day I got my solar meter installed. haha I recommend you add exterior cameras so you can keep an eye on the house when you're not there. It's a fairly common thing that the property managers rent the house and pocket the money. Cameras will deter that.

Great information! We're thinking of doing a full reno in Merida Centro also, would love to know what contractor you ended up using, as well as the well known architect you mentioned.
