Dude I really thought Steve was gonna be like an asshole jock, then he came in and squared up AND WON against a Demogorgon.
This was Steve’s turning point. Right here he decided enough was enough. He knew who he was, and he knew he wasn’t like the friends he was around or the life he was around. What does he do? He basically tells his friends to fuck off then goes and starts fixing his mistakes. Starting with cleaning that horrible movie sign then repairing his relationship with Nancy. This is when I started to truly love his character and now like most of you he is my favorite in the show.
At first i thought Jonathan would reverse and run him over lol 🤣
This came out of nowhere but I loved it in the show. Didn’t realize the character of Steve would be redeemed
They were originally going to make Steve sooooo much worse (he was gonna r pe Nancy) but they changed it up when Joe Keery auditioned and his charm won them over. You can at the beginning he is friendly yet full of himself. It’s after the whole Jonathan taking pictures situation that cause Steve to grow more into a douchebag.

So you're probably right. In the real world though, Tommy's build would mean he wins against Jonathan. Assuming he doesn't lack conviction of course.

That happened way ahead in season 3. This is season 1. And no, Jonathan would not lose to tommy of all people. You saw the fight against steve and Jonathan actually beat the character development into him.

Steve's character had the most growth throughout the series. Jonathan and Nancy were boring after season 1.
I'd say Nancy's character did make sort of a comeback when she became a badass in the last season, but I agree the way Jonathan's character fell off is a crime.
Nancy carries Jonathans character. I didn’t like her in the first season but she undoubtedly has changed dramatically and cared for her friends.
@@UndeadItachi2 Jonathan's love and dedication to Will in the 1st season was what made him so endearing imo. He was this unflinching older brother that at no point gave up on his lil bro. Then he became a stoner dude. Like who thought that was the correct direction for him lol

I’m sorry but Tommy is hands down one of the worst characters of this show. He’s just as despicably unlikable and I wish the show had just killed him off.

well this show was specifically made to target children similar to goosebumps, but this has less horror / mature topics and more high school musical level drama
