Sportsman 570 Upgrades
Переглядів 19 тис.3 роки тому
Going over upgrades on my Polaris Sportsman 570. (Update) I put in Dalton clutch kit from Peakboys Item # 472-DP570N
3/8” ???
The skid plates are 3/8 of an inch thick, very durable and lightweight.
Did you have fun cleaning out the rad?
It's always fun! I have a hose attachment with a flex pipe tip, that allows me to clean both sides of the rad easily.
I personally want an outlander, two of my uncles on my mother's side 🤣 had an outlander 800 and an outlander 650 both beast of machines let me tell ya bud! Much love from maine
It will be some time before I do an upgrade, kids are eating up extra funds. Outlander or Renegade will definitely be the ones I look at when the time comes, I'm thinking probably a pair of 2 seater Outlanders. Appreciate the love from Maine! Much love frome British Columbia!
@@ThrottleoutTV just found a nice 2010 can am outlander 650 xt for 3000$ USD, has power steering 4100miles. Maxxis big horn 2.0 tires. Just brought it home. I'm excited. I'll be going thru it till trails open up here in maine expected around May
Loud pipes are one of reasons they close trails in northern Michigan. Give prices for upgrades. Thank you.
Where is ya get the a arm skid plates ?
I got them from ricochetoffroad.com. There are two problems I have with them, but not a deal breaker for me. One is if you go through mud holes they tend to hold the mud and debris so you have to clean them off often so it doesn't wear your axle boot. Another is if you do rock climbing, you can wear the bolt down which makes it hard to remove them as they are a torx. I would recommend replacing them with carriage bolts. Other than that they are high quality, 3/8 inch thick aluminum and very light. Would definitely recommend them!
Did you every get something else? Personally, If wanting a mud machine, Polaris. V-twins are more maintenance no matter what. But really look at what the Can-Am guys are doing on UA-cam. They drop thousands extra into them. And silly things like the air filter cover are laughable. So be ready for an $80-150 aftermarket fix for that. Polaris has theirs metal with a rubber gasket and screwed shut. But the avg Polaris HL owner is just going stock. The 850 HL with go through anything. But all mud machines are stiffer rides.
No I still have the 570. Not sure what I'm going to do ATM to be honest. I haven't been out at all this year, I just don't have the time. But if I was to do an upgrade I would weigh out the good and bad, I really dislike the Polaris shifter but I like the lower over all costs of Polaris haha.
@@ThrottleoutTV I thought the same on the shifter until I owned a Polaris. Had two and surprisingly has not bothered me at all.
Having an 850 High Lifter, I'll say that a mid sized engine and multipurpose tires presents more challenge and arguably more skill and fun when you get through. But snorkels gives you peace of mind.
I’ve got the same kolpin hand guards. Had to get a different mirror though because I couldn’t get those ones to actually work
They're a great hand guard for sure. The mirror is not the greatest but it does the job.
Every winch breaks
Hmf its better for polaris and adds more horespower than most exaust especially if you get the hmf tuner too
Yeah, I will probably be getting the hmf with a tuner this year if I don't trade my Polaris in.
Great video keep making more
Thank you. More will be coming this year for sure!
Hi my name is leroy someone somebody other person set woods on fire
We found out that it was a controlled burn, it was a slash pile that caught peat moss under the surface on fire and it was slowly spreading.
Stock exhaust always loud pipes get trails shut down I used to be able to ride power line trails for 50 plus miles now you can't because people got sick of constant noise
Sorry to hear about the trail! I don't ride near houses for the most part, if I do I keep the revs low, even with a stock pipe. I'm usually on crown land but I can definitely see how loud pipes can be a nuisance. Stock pipes are also made to keep utility ATVs quiet for hunting/farm use, which restricts air flow and reduces HP. But being heard is important for others safety on the trail as they can hear you coming as you know you can't always see someone coming, plus it also tends to scare off wildlife more accustomed to stock sounding exhausts. People with loud pipes just need to be respectful of where they're riding.
Nice vid. Where abouts is this? How do you find the CVT exaust on your Polaris? Visually they seem poorly designed.
Thanks! This was in Kamloops BC. I have had no problems at all with the CVT in anyway. I put frog skin Air filter covers over the intake and exhaust and so far so good.
@@ThrottleoutTV oh that's a good idea. Is your exaust soft rubber? My 850 is, if so, how did you get it to stay?
Mine has hard plastic tubes and I just used zip ties to hold it in place.
Hi my name is leroy I got 2021 Yamaha grizzly 700 4wheeler is got 4wd diff lock means all for tires turn and you go in reverse is got override button press and hold or you get can am outlander xmr 650 850
Hello Leroy, congrats on the 2021 Grizzly! They are a great quad, 4wd diff lock is very nice to have, the Polaris 4wheelers have AWD. The front tires get power when the rears start to loose traction. I was thinking of getting a XMR this spring but life has other plans so looks like I will be keeping the Sportsman for another year 😀
How hard was it to attach the gse muffler
It's pretty easy. Just have to take off 2 bolts and take off the 2 exhaust springs and the muffler slides right on. You might need a new exhaust gasket (5-10$) I did not need one as I had very low mileage when I upgraded my muffler. Replace bolts, exhaust springs and you are ready to hit the trails. Hope this helps!
BC got some hot women and there wild lol,Im an alaskan guy and many a memoriy in Birch Bay,southest alska to.
Good job! Well done !! Fair and impartial!!
You stopped uploading for 3 months after getting 4K views on this? Come on man keeep uploading make the videos 15 mins long bu they the most interesting clips on camera and cut them down whenever u feel was the most exciting moment on the trail put it in the footage
Thanks for the support and tips on how to improve my channel. I haven't given up on making videos or my channel, this year has been crazy. All trails around where I live where closed due to wildfires and dry conditions, My fiancee and I had twins in August. I will be back riding and creating new content next year as winter is right around the corner and getting out with newborn twins at home is very difficult.
were is this in bc?
Roche lake area, It's near Kamloops.
well it a 4 hour drive but i guess ill take my mud tractor there :)
Hello form Romania nice video 💪
Hello, All the way from beautiful Romania that's awesome. Thank you and hope you enjoy
@@ThrottleoutTV thank you for sharing 🌍🌍🌍
You are welcome. I love making/sharing videos for others to enjoy. I hope to be getting a video out soon, but trails out where I live are closed due to wildfire activity and dry conditions. Once life gives me the opportunity to ride I will be riding 🍻
Have you had any issues with mud and or debris getting into the CVT belt housing exhaust/hose in the back of the 570?
I haven't had any problems yet. Polaris changed how the exhaust comes out of the CVT hosing to basically in the middle of side panel with a 180° inward exhaust tip. The intake for the CVT hosing is actually about and inch lower then the exhaust. Just for extra protection I put a frog skin air filter cover over the intake pipe and it works great, just have to check it every now and then to make sure it's not clogged.
There double the price now
👀👀👀
The battery placement is a weight thing
I get that part of it for sure. Just imo the weight in the back is worth it to me. I have a fire extinguisher and tow equipment in the front storage, it helps with that. Plus I don't like it next to the shaft.
Can I buy your old wheels
Sorry, the 2 rears I am using for a trailer and the one front has a plug in the sidewall.
Congratulations on the babies. My wife and I share 3 they are 9,6,3 2 boys then the girl. Where are you guys from? We live in Maine
Thank you so much! I can't wait to meet them. That's awesome, 2 boys and a girl and all 3 years apart. We live in Kamloops, British Columbia. Maine looks beautiful, I see some of it on a TV show about Conservation Officer's called North woods law.
Lol seems like everyone has seen that show. Good luck kids are alot of work but worth it and best memories
Extreme, what part of maine? Im from Lisbon!
Where did u get ur gear to ride
Pants and chest waders are from amazon, jersey, clear rain jacket and gloves are from Royal Distribution and fortnine. My helmet and goggles are from a local shop called Outlaw. Hope this helps!
B.C. Boys. Where’s bout you guys from
We are in the Kamloops area, but haven't been able to get out much at all this year. The smoke from the wildfires is blanketing us here.
Oh yeah right on I’m near lumby just outside Vernon. Yeah I heard they shut all the trails down. There’s been a couple fires at our local riding areas it’s terrible
That's awesome, we should ride someday when this wildfire season is over. This year has been really bad for fires and I also heard that the trails have been closed as well. Wow that's crazy, I don't like to go out when it's this dry the exhaust pipe can start fires. There is a fire around Roche lake which is where I ride mostly.
Yeah small world eh. Yeah forsure I just picked up a 2021 sportsman 850 haven’t got to use it much due to the risks of starting fires.it’s extremely smoky out in the lumby area
Congrats on the new ATV! I'm just afraid this is going to be the new norm for the Okanogan. The smoke has been really bad, reminds me of the Fort Mac fire and how bad the smoke was that year.
And shocks you recommend
IMHO, Elka if you can afford them as they're costly but WELL worth the money. I know a couple people that run Elka and they don't regret the purchase at all. Fox can be pricey too, but a little bit cheaper. you can't really go wrong with fox if you get the right shock for your style of riding. Hope this helps!
@@ThrottleoutTV thanks
No problem at all.
I bought the same light bar. Haven't got my machine yet to install. How do you like the light bar?
The light bar is great so far. It has been completely covered in mud, splashed numerous amount of times and still works like the day I bought it.
just keep with stock exhaust, loud exhausts are alright but a bit of riding it gets annoying. I have a video on my channel of a polaris sportsman 700 with a big gun and its LOUDDD!!!! but if you want it to be loud and have a tiny power boost it works.
I definitely wouldn't get a big gun, that's basically straight piped with tone enhancement 😂. I don't want it to be annoying. I was thinking MBRP sports muffler, no turner needed increased throttle response with minor power gain and sounds similar to the GSE performance exhaust I had on. I was thinking HMF Titan but that requires an exhaust tuner which is pricy for minimal power gain. Thank you for your opinion as it helps me decide.
@@ThrottleoutTV np and mine doesn't need tuned I just jetted mine, mine isn't efi.
Gotcha, I kinda miss carbs to be honest, cheaper and easier to fix but can be a pain on rides with big altitude change.
I have a 2018. It’s great investment
U should’ve hit it
Are you still running the GSE muffler?
No unfortunately not, my sway bar bushing was rubbing so I had to return it. I'm looking into getting an HMF.
Nice ride! Congrats on expecting twins. Exciting!!
Thank you! Yes it's very exciting, I can't wait tell they arrive.
Where r u riding? Nevermind, I saw the sign, Roche Lake area.....I am in the south Cariboo
The South Cariboo is an area I would love to explore! Hope to get out that way this year.
@@ThrottleoutTV I am waiting for my 2021 Can Am Outlander max xt 850, hope to see you out there!
Glad to hear and congrats on the new quad! Hope to see you out there as well. Happy trails and when in doubt throttle out!
That’s how you know it’s a real review when someone say’s the good and the bad about it. Love the bike and appreciate the review!!
Thanks so much!!
How hard is to turn handle bar since it is a base model?
For me at least, not very hard at all. But if you do alot of mud holes, deep sand that kind of thing it can get very hard on the shoulders, you definitely feel it the next day. But as for trail riding, utility use not hard at all. Tires matter as well, the stock tires its easy, as for the mudlite 2 I found it a bit easier to turn the handle bars. The extra money for power steering is worth it to me at least.
How do you like the power with the 570? I was thinking about getting the same quad. 570 or 850. Maybe the 850 is a little overkill but it also might help in the mountains at higher elevation.
To be honest, it has enough power to do most things, but if you start getting into bigger tires 27, 28 inch and up you will start to notice lack of wheel speed in mud holes, if you're into that sort of thing. I am going for a bigger atv hopefully this year but that's just me wanting more HP and a mud dedicated atv.
@@ThrottleoutTV not really lookig at mudding, more trails and utility. Trying to stay stock setup as much as possible. Maybe tire type upgrade and utility type things. I hear ya though, the mud definitely requires specific upgrades and power for good success in it. Cheers!
Beautiful footage. Keep them coming. Sub'd
Thanks for the sub. YOU'RE AWESOME!
Good vid. I put Mudlite 2s on my 850 Sportsman and like them so far. I hear ya on paying way more for stuff in Canada.
Thank you I appreciate you! I have no complaints about the Mudlite 2s either! Yeah us Canadians get hit hard on toys.
10k for 570 and 13k for a 850 in Alberta
@@marxxs yup. Our 570 Trail listed at 10,999 and the 850 Trail was 13,299. The new "Ultimate Trail" 850 is 14,399
@@PapaC-ej3kz ya, all those extras and special and now limited edition models... crazy expensive!
Got the same bike man! Where did you get your arm guards from ? Thanks dude !
Right on! How you liking the Polaris? I got my A arm guards from ricochetoffroad.com. No problem!
Get a high lifter polaris. An outlander is more expensive and still no better without the xmr package.
I was definitely thinking of the highlifter but it's the Polaris shifter I really dislike. It feels clunky and you never really know if you are fully in gear tell you hit the throttle and it slips. Imho if Polaris had a gated shifter then I would get the highlifter 100%, I love my Sportsman but that damn shifter is the deal breaker for me.
And net owl state if u can outlander because it has a better seat for her
The Fiancee is probably getting a Outlander but I'm still on the fence between a Rene and Outlander, starting to lean towards 850 Outlander, the 1000 has a longer frame. Plus imo the 1000 Rene is a cheat code for mud 😆
Were u guys at on that ride
This was between Campbell Lake and Scuitto Lake. Lots of great trails out around there.
What part of BC you riding? Looks like central B.C or Okanagan?
Good eye!! I ride mostly in the Okanagan, definitely venturing out this upcoming spring though.
@@ThrottleoutTV Haha yeah I'm from Kelowna and some of that looked familiar! Love my 2020 Sportsman so far :)
@@bigamigo4863 I usually hit the trails here in Kamloops and end up around Roche lake, lots of great trails in that area. Awesome I love my Sportsman as well.
Awesome vid! Time for a bigger quad? And perhaps a winch? 🤣
Thank you sir! Yeah probably selling it in spring, I'm looking into getting a Renegade. I have a winch on er👍
whats up throttle out tv
Hey how's it going? You get that fourwheeler?
@@ThrottleoutTV no not yet needs tiers
What kind you thinking of putting on?
@@ThrottleoutTV i think 10s
Right on, something nice and light.
Thanks
Not a problem at all, glad I could help!
Hi how are those tires holding up I am looking for something I can plow with I have the same bike
Have you tried them in snow
Hello Pat Lef, these Mudlite are good for the most part, they tend to plow (front tires slide) when breaking around corners on loose ground such as gravel. They work great in mud and hard surfaces, I have not had a chance to use them to plow snow but I would say they would do good as they have great clean out (they eject snow, mud off with little wheel speed). If you have a 2019 sportsman 570 and put 25x7r12 mudlite on the front you will need to put the tie rod ends on the bottom of the mount on the macpherson strut as they will rub on the tie rod rubber boot. Message me again if you need help I can make a short video for you and show you what I mean. Sorry I couldn't be more help with answering if they're good for plowing snow.
That would be great, I saw in the video the front tires looked bigger then the stock tires that’s the look I was going for Thanks
When you flipped your tr ‘s did you need to re aline the the wheels or they just bolt on and that’s it.
You will need to do an alignment for sure, it can be a bit tricky to do but there is great youtube videos that explain how to do it. Hope I could be of help!
