It’s an incredible looking place. That was only a very small section of the lake/reservoir.

The rain was relentless. Lesson learned. Always take waterproofs.

That’s odd. I have had a few people message about the current owners of I’m honest. I didn’t have any issues with them whilst I was there.

Always when you’re using inappropriate tackle for the species. Luckily it just didn’t fight at all.

Great little lake. Hardly anyone fished it. If it’s warm walk onto the beach bit and carp come in like waves. It’s amazing.

That’s what I mean. It really didn’t pull back like a Cat normally would. Even a small one normally gives a good scrap especially in shallow water.

Another video I filmed here for the Tench went much better. Just struggled with Pike on my last session I was there. Not sure what it’s like now that was a couple of years ago

I nearly didn’t…. I’m not much of a Carper so it’s difficult when you have that much kit. When float/feeder fishing you can just pack up quick and head off.

Definitely worth trying again. I fished towards the far end (right of car park) and feeder fish up towards one of the floating islands. Fake or real caster or pellet did the trick.

Might take you up on that. Also think I will rejoin next year as not really enjoying my current club. Never actually fished Broadwater properly, tried for Perch once. Fished Bramley a few times but struggled. Only seem to catch small Perch.

@@100fishingwithgeorgewhite9I think the Tench is my favourite to target. When it’s warm enough. Farnham Angling had a great Tench lake, and was always quiet. But I loved fishing Busbridge (wood lake) as that had decent Tench for the summer and decent Perch in the winter.

For this lake yes you need to stay on site. But then you also have access to all the other lakes. Well worth the money.

@@Sir.Fisherthere is also a koi lake on the Eldorado complex worth having a go on.

Most of the swims are done quite well. Last time I went there I don’t think there was any swims 😂

I’ll take that on board. Sadly some videos are not filled with fish, as they were not playing ball.

I never had any problems. But I never fished the Yately complex bar the river blackwater. There are some great waters.

I know. I can’t spend hours just walking around lakes without any rods.

@AnEverydayAngler planning the future session...bait , tactics , swim etc...thinking what dreams may come! Then u turn up the swim is taken, the weather aweful and its all down hill from there but it doesn't perturb us from seeing the magic becsuse occasionally something happens on the bank which is truly magical.

Just for new content really. I loved Farnham and will definitely join again in the future.

Godalming will probably be my ticket next year as I do love the waters. Probably heading to Marsh Farm next weekend.

I love the Blackwater. One of the reasons I joined. Can’t wait to get back on it.

They did last year yeah. I tried to call up too before hand, they had no idea. There is a cabin next to the lake on the far side where you buy your ticket. There is only 4/6 swims in an area of the lake. If you go when it’s warm throw some bread in the margins on beach area, you can’t fish there but shows how many Carp there are. It’s nuts.

They are still round the corner from the fishery but they are no where near like they used to be. The fishery is quite busy now so I don’t think they bother anymore

HWAS with a night permit and joining fee is only £10 cheaper than Farnham without the joining fee

I loved the Farnham waters. And Badshot for me was my favourite, but others like Stockbridge lake are also excellent. To be honest when I was looking at joining everyone said it was really busy and getting a swim will be an issue. I didn’t find that. I mainly fished weekend and always had space. Especially Badshot big lake, the lake is so big with so many swims I think it would be hard to fill it. I can only assume the busy bit will be the Yately waters, I didn’t really fish them. I’m only not joining this year as wanted to mix it up a bit so trying Hartley Whitney. Any questions just fire away mate.

Glad you found me. I was not sure if I just fished it at the wrong time, it was very cold, but very surprised there was till fish feeding, wrong species but couldn’t complain. I hope to get down there again when it’s a little warmer for a go on the main lake.

Ahhhhhh nice, yeah I fish it quite frequently being local, and my best fish have come from that spot

I have not really fished any of the Yateley waters so can’t comment on those. But I have had no issues getting swims on any water I have been on. Nothing like I thought it would be. And rivers seem very unfished as I have been the only one on the stretch on a few occasions

I have only fished it twice mate. Once was many many years ago and this time. So that Chub was the biggest I had but did see bigger in there.
