In 2023, I replaced a motor in a fan like yours with a Mars Azure 10858. Ended up being way more energy efficient compared to BAF's original factory Genteq/GE motor and I was able to use a low power rotary switch for each of the 5 speeds since it had just a 24v input signal. I also used the Azure App to dial in the torque or RPM per speed tap for very low whisper quiet operation on the lowest tap. BAF's choice of motor for this fan was a bad idea. Should have done their research. If they did, they would have known the number of failures we here in the HVAC tech field have came across and replaced. At one point, we had a 50 gallon drum full of failed Genteq ECMs. A third of them had separated rotor magnets, some with shorted stator windings, dead shorts from blown high side module capacitors, the list goes on and on. If you replace the motor again down the road, consider the motor and model above. I'm almost through the 8th summer on a Sears & Roebucks Homart (formerly belt driven) fan using the 10860 Azure.

Your mom is gonna spank you good for using the kitchen sink to clean parts. I used my mom's 12-quart stock pot to boil the block & other aluminum parts clean.

What is the o'ring for ?

After pulling out the destroyed bearing out of the gearbox, I'd be inclined to use zz bearings instead of 2rs. Lots of great work here

I own a similar vid mar I bought when my plant shutdowns. I added casters to one at work, if you do this most will need a step stool for higher drawers.

Rebuilt my rancher 55 and will not start. New carburetor, gasket, air filter, fuel filter, tank vent, ignition coil and plug. Has good fire to plug. What’s next, Help!

Did you remove the ring and clean the piston, or did I miss that. I have a homelit blower that looks very similar and has no compression all I see junk around the ring and cause it to be stuck in pistons, I would think this has to be my problem.???

I’d recommend investing into a torque wrench. Cringed at the con rod and head installation.

I am rebuilding one of these atm The flywheel has a woodruff key, like the one in the video. The points cover says "Caution Do not use a steel key. See Instructions" as doe the cover in the video The key that came out looks to be steel. What am I supposed to use? Is there some other kind of key than steel? Thanks to anybody who can shed some light.

Which screws are which? I have it running and idling but then I rev it wants to bog down. I have the idle screw on the black part, then the screw on top the small flat head one, then one on the side with a spring on it.

Hey great video. I wanted to add castors to an enclosure i'm making but I wanted to use 5" wheels and give it about 3 more inchest of height. What is the best way to go about this? Just put some wood squares above the caster mounts?

The blue tank shown with the better setup is sold at Lowe’s for $65 and is a 7 gallon rated @ 185 psi. Well worth spending the little extra for a much better setup.
